So when I open a contac it has 2 number, the one from facebook and the one I already has. Also I dont want the email either, so basically just the picture.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo PSX4Droid finally got released from the clutches of Google Market about an hour ago. Only problem now is I can't seem to get any roms to work. I set up a PSXROMS folder on my SD card, and my first d/l was Metal Gear Solid disc 1 and 2. I got them from here PSX ISO Download Section. So I downloaded the .rar, unzipped to get the .bin (says it's compatible), open the emulator, the emulator sees the files in the folder, I click it, it refreshes the rom screen. The emulator doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong? Wrong file type?

I use my phone for work and have to have "Active Sync" for our corporate email. I have to have full outlook functionality for work. What I need to add to get that back. It was on Gingerbread, but I want a current ROM. I have a Samsung Captivate.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI followed all the instructions on the other really long thread. I am having one issue though. I installed SDK and the drivers, that all went perfect. The only issue I am having is with the actual bootanimation.zip. I am thoroughly stuck. After I download a bootanimation.zip it shows up in winrar with 4 files (loading, eye, android, and the desc.txt) I know it has to go in tools. I am just not sure how? Do I add each folder or is there a way to add them all? I also know the name has to be bootanimation.zip. I tried a few different ways and pushed it to my Inc. But I cant get it to boot with the animation.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI have been using the INC for about 2 months now and i really do like the phone. As all of you know, the battery sucks. I picked up the 1500 battery about the same time the 2.2 came out and the battery life dropped over the 2.1/stocker. I thought it may have been the battery so i used the stock 1300 for a while and it was TERRIBLE. To add to the issue, the battery takes longer to charge then it does die. And thats why i am posting this. Could someone give me a list of what i need to do while rooting my phone and installing custom roms? that will speed up charge time? Normally i wont ask for help like this but i have zero time to sit down and read about everything. Just looking for a simple fix to get me by for the next few months.

I've tried Ruby and cyanogenmod 6I get evrything done then when I boot up, there is no market. Got to be something simple.
I logged out of Facebook through the Android App then logged in and all is well. I dont know why it had to come to that, it should do it automatically.I have even done battery pulls which should theoretically log me out, oh well, it works now.I have done some searching around and there was a problem with Facebook a couple weeks back, but I dont think this has anything to do with that. I added a new friend on Facebook on the 25th of July, I also added them manually into my People on my Inc. For whatever reason when I go to the Link part of the contact and go to the Facebook Link, it says to pick from my friends. He does not show up in my friends if I am browsing through the link area. I can go to facebook from the phone and from the computer and he is there. It is making me insane.Also the profile pics are not updating, and havent for many months. My wife's picture has not changed on my phone's end in 4 months, but on the actual Facebook site it has.

On my old blackberry this was automatic but for some reason it won't work on this phone. Also do you guys leave your fb signed in all the time? I don't mind leaving it like this but I'm wndering if it will always how me as being on fb if i'm always signed in from my phone.

Wanted to update all the pics for my contacts, so i did what I always do.. removed Facebook for HTC and wanted to sync it back.. only this time, it wont update any photos, just syncs for a second and thats all. Anyone else have this issue today?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've rooted my Dinc and got skyraider 2.5.2 with full backup through titanium and nandroid.
Here are my questions.
1) Is there a way to transfer the exact status of my previous contact to my new rom? I've linked and synced all my contacts with facebook and stuffs and it looks like all those links have been disconnected. I don't want to link again manually.
2) Why does titanium not backup SMS? I've restored my titanium backup and none of my SMS got restored. Luckly I've used SMS Backup & Restore to backup, so that's not a problem, but I was wondering if I'm misssing something in titanium.
3) When I'm restoring apps with titanium, I have to keep giving permissions to install apps (clicking install button). I have around 80 apps, and I would much prefer if it's automatic without asking for my permission. Is there a way to do that?
Is there no Facebook Sync in Jagar? Do I have to load sense to get that to work?

I am working on adding vertical and horizontal scrollbars in a custom drawn View. I have overridden the compute*ScrollOffset, compute*ScrollRange, etc methods and have enabled the scrollbars by called set*ScrollBarEnabled. However, I do not see the scrollbars in my View, even after a call to scrollBy, which according to the documentation calls awakenScrollbars (I assumed awakenScrollbars is not required as the scrollbars do not auto-fade - isScrollbarFadingEnabled returns false).

I am trying to create a ListView and add it to a custom ViewGroup.

I've got the following node in my XML layout:

TagLayout is a class that extends ViewGroup, and basically holds a bunch of buttons with text (a custom object that act as tags, but that's neither here or there).
The problem is that when there are too many buttons, the view no longer scrolls. I can confirm that I am adding tags but I can't see anything.
If I wrap the above within a ScrollView, the layout never renders. I tried adding the attributes android:isScrollContainer and android:scrollbars, but that doesn't change anything. Is there something I'm missing here?
I should also add that TagLayout is overriding the onMeasure() event. I guess I need to implement a scrolling mechanism there...?
I have a custom ViewGroup that I wrote, and have been able to use it to lay out child elements in code just fine. However, now I'd like to be able to use it for layout in XML. I would also like to be able to add some custom attributes to the XML file to better control my layout. How do I set up, both in XML and in code, a set of custom attributes? Bonus if it can be used with the built in designer in Eclipse.
