My phone sync wont work
Everytime i try, it says 'Sync is currently experiencing problens. It will be back shortly'
Ive had this problem for several days
I also cant download from the Market, the download appears to start & says 'Starting download' but never progresses, i assume this could be to do with the sync not working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFirst I installed the HTC Software from my phone (I disabled my anti-virus), it did not work, so I downloaded the latest software "HTC Sync 2.0.33" but it still wont work, the computer says that its offline and my desire says that the software prob isnt installed on the computer...
I've tried to disable windows firewall and my anti-virus.
I'm running windows vista 32bit.
This is going to crap on my schoolwork i need it like tonight! I need to transfer my android app tonight to my phone
After loosing most of my contacts this is what I had to do - tedious! Find my old phone - copy the contacts to my desire sim - put the sim back in desire - sync with googlemail - adapt EVERY name because they changed to surname 1st - then delete some of the duplicated numbers - save - sync back to phone? Now i have done this do I need to Import to SD - Import from SD - Export to SD - or do nothing, I dont want to end up with bloody duplicates/lost numbers again.

It started a few days ago but I can't be specific when.Pc to phone of calendar is fine, contacts sync fine both ways.I debranded from Vodafone and went to Froyo 10 days ago.Could this be the cause?Just installed the latest sync 2.0.33 from HTC - no change.It's a pain because I started using the phone to make work appointments, fortunately spotting the problems before any real damage was done with clients.Has anyone else come across this and if so found a fix?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have searched around on this and other forums, looking for the answer to a question that has been bugging me since before the weekend.I got the HTC desire on friday (love the phone!) and have got to the point where most of the things are set up how I want. I have used HTC sync to import my contacts from Outlook where they were already set up how I wanted. However I can't seem to be able to import these contacts back up to my Google account though. I have turned on all the sync settings and checked these, but nothing seems to work.I tried creating a dummy contact in my google account and prompted a sync from my phone which pulled this down ok. So this would indicate that the sync seems to work one way, but wont pull my contacts back up the other.I don't really want to re-enter all my contacts into my Google account to get the sync working properly plus I am assuming this will create a duplicate of every contact already on my phone.

I've manually synced them on the phone and refreshed the web page to no avail.I created one much earlier on (maybe even yesterday) and it's there.If I create a new contact on the web it appears almost immediately on the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just bought an HTC Desire but i cant make the sync with HTC sync work. After af search of approximatitely 15 seconds a popup on the phone says that it can't find HTC sync on the computer. The USB connection works fine for file sharing. In my hardware monitor (dont know the english word for the window, but that in Control Panel -> System ->??? where you can see all attached devieces) i see a deveice called "My HTC" with a yellow exclamation triangle. I suspect the problem is here, but dont know has to solve it. The HTC sync has all button disabled so i cannot access the "Repair tool" i think there is in the sync manager.
- Disable all firewall(none), antivirus (Norton) and Spyware protection (AdAware) before installing HTC sync.
- Used "Run" -> "msconfig" to disable all non-MS processes and remove all starting app. Then restarted the computer and reinstalled (suggest to HTC to another user)..........
Anybody know how to sync with two different computers?
Can sync with outlook on home laptop, but cannot sync People and Calendar on works laptop. Am I missing something fundamental?

Google maps says 'no network connection'
Play store says 'server error'
Gmail says 'waiting for sync, your emails will appear shorly'
Sounds like my internet is broken? ITS NOT. whatsapp and opera mini, web browser is still working 100% and able to connect
I have tried:
turning sync of and on
clear the cache of various google apps
turning the phone off and on
The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.
Why cant i send videos from my evo to anyone?... its a 30mb bile but it wont email or nothing i cant even send it to my brother who has a evo.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have had my Evo since day 1. Sync has worked perfectly until today. It started by syncing hlf my info and then timing out. Then it stopped connecting completely. I blew out HTC sync from my PC, reinstalled the new version from HTC's website, and still not connection. It says it isn't finding HTC Sync on my PC yet is connects to charge and as a hard drive.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was using easy root and it would not work for me. I got to the 3rd step but kept giving me errors. Now I got a half rooted phone but do not want to try to root anymore. But now I realized after installing everything back due to failure to root that my Facebook won't sync as it get error that service is down. So easy root went through all 4 steps but errors on 3rd and 4th. And thus I can go to recovery mode but not fully rooted. Do I need to do anything special to revert back to nonroot?

I tried forcing sync and everything, no go.I am looking for a program that will only backup my contacts , dont need anything else.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe all know that if you hold the Home button it gives us a pop up of recently used applications that run in the background for a certain amount of time. But when I do this, then I press home to get back to the home screen, I get that annoying pop up asking me if I want to use Home or HTC Sense UI. So I checkmark the box to set HTC Sense UI to default and when I press home any other time, it goes to the home screen... But when I use that multitasking feature, it shows that damn screen again...
Is this because of Fresh 1.1? Or is there a way I can get rid of this?
When I press the back button all the way isnt it suppose to close the browser? The web browser still shows as a running app.

Im getting this error starting sync. "This Apllication has Failed to start because the application confirguration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
Using USB and mount is working. On my home pc im using Win7 and there is no problem. I need it to work to sync, calendar with Lotus Notes, triede companionlink, but it cost.

A strange i'm having is that after the sync is over, the Android still shows the sync icon (the one with the rounded arrow) in the account activity, and that someone (i guess its the account manager) repeatedly calls the sync again and again, every 30 to 60 seconds. Now i tried all sort of things to test this issue and i have discovered something strange. In my code, i do resolver.applyBatch every 50 new rows. (each new contact i sync has about 5 rows). If i remove the applyBatch (which means i retrieve the data from the next, sort it and prepare it, but never "commit" it) - the problem goes away. The icon disappear and the account manager never calls it again on its own (I'm using Android 2.1). I must also state that no exception is being thrown in any of the cases and that all the methods finish gracefully.

I use the Blackberry "BIS" service, which means that I don't have wireless sync w/my company's exchange server - I sync contacts/calendar/notes via bluetooth with Outlook on my PC, and get email OTA of course. So I've been thinking about the Blackberry Storm2 to get a larger screen, etc., but when I saw the news today that the Hero is coming to Verizon I did a double-take. I've done some research and the interface and user customization available on the Hero look just great, best I've seen to date.My biggest concern is how it will work for managing my Outlook email/contacts/calendar/notes, and multiple gmail accounts. So what I'm curious about...
1. I have four gmail email accounts - I assume I can set up all four on the Hero, correct? What is the max number of email accounts I can set up on the Hero?
2. I can not sync my Outlook calendar/contacts to Google due to company security issues, so I can't use the Hero's Google wireless sync capability. Will the Hero Sync app allow me to sync Contacts/Calendar/Notes from Outlook to the Hero via USB?
3. If I modify a contact, calendar event, or outlook note on the Hero will Hero Sync the modified back the update to Outlook?
4. If I receive an Outlook meeting invite on my BB, it automatically appears on my BB calendar, meeting reminders appear, etc. Does the Hero have the ability to automatically add new meetings to my Hero calendar when meeting invite emails arrive on the phone?
5. Any issues w/setting up a work email account (Exchange) on the Hero? (I do have IMAP access to my work email account.)
6. The BB provides an individual email folder for each account, as well as an aggregate email folder that displays all messages received from all email accounts in date order. Does the Hero also offer a way to view all emails received from all accounts in a single folder?
When I use PC Companion and try to sync my x10 it tells me to select sony ericsson sync in the data sync folder on the phone but it is not there. Where is it and why isn;t it where it says it should be?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my Evo to my PC, I get no option asking if I want to mount the SD card as a disk drive. I get no notification at all that my phone is plugged into a PC. Do I need to install HTC Sync before I can do this? The manual does not mention it if so. I have tried changing the default setting from "Charge Only" to "disk drive" but no change. The "Ask Me" option is also enabled.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am working with a client's new samsung moment. We set it up for google apps email and Exchange sync through Moxier. All was good and well for a few days, and then the Google/gmail app stopped syncing. In All Accounts, sync, it gave the error ' sync is currently experiencing problems, it will be back shortly' We pulled the battery but still does this. I tested other apps that would verify connection - browser, Moxier, etc., fine.
Today the moxier sync for Exchange email, calendar, contacts, tasks would not sync either; just stopped. Again, pulling the battery didn't unstick this.
I am used to the Microsoft phones where this plus a soft reset cured things for a few days. Please advise on a methodology to diagnose.
I would love some help with this if anyone can figure out what's going on. I have the FB for Android app installed. I am rooted with Bugless Beast. I was trying to add FB as a sync account through settings-->accounts & sync, but when I click add account-->FB, nothing happens. Then I logged out of the FB app, and my attempt to add a sync account would bring me to the login screen. I can log in, but the account doesn't show up in my list of sync accounts. And I'm back to nothing happening when I do add account-->FB. When I go to a contact, in the sync and gallery screens both say to log in to FB to link. In the sync screen, nothing happens when I tap. In the gallery screen, it pulls up a loading screen that stays up indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app, and that made no difference. Right now, I'm syncing my pictures using SyncMyPix, but I would like full integration of my contacts and FB friends. I'd appreciate any help getting this to work.
