HTC Incredible :: Jager 1.6.1 ROM - Unable To Link Contacts To Facebook
Jun 26, 2010I just installed the Jager 1.6.1 ROM and I have Facebook (not for sense). I noticed that in my contacts, I can't link to Facebook, but Flickr is there. As well, in accounts & sync, I can't add facebook, even though it's in the list.

Jul 23, 2010I was using easy root and it would not work for me. I got to the 3rd step but kept giving me errors. Now I got a half rooted phone but do not want to try to root anymore. But now I realized after installing everything back due to failure to root that my Facebook won't sync as it get error that service is down. So easy root went through all 4 steps but errors on 3rd and 4th. And thus I can go to recovery mode but not fully rooted. Do I need to do anything special to revert back to nonroot?

Jun 26, 2010Ever since i flashed to Jager 1.6.1 when i plug my phone into my laptop it not longer allows me to mount. I don't even get the prompt in my notification window. It just says USB debugging connected and that's it. Anyone else having this issue?

Sep 16, 2010I downloaded Jager Rom from ROM Manager and really....really want to get rid of the boot noise. It announces that I'm messing with my phone to the entire office. I looked in /data/local and don't see it. Anyone know where to kill this annoyance? Otherwise, I like the ROM and I'm switching back and forth between Virtuous for Sense and Jager for nonsense.

Jun 30, 2010So I installed the Jager ROM over the weekend, and today I had a problem with the SU program included not working. This sucks because now I can not back anything up or do anything that requires SU privies. The SU program just force closes when it comes up in any program that needs it. I downloaded another SU program but the old one always comes up. Is there a way to change this or uninstall the other one. I found the same one in the market but it wont install. Maybe cause its read only?

Jun 27, 2010I have found a slight issue with the Jager Sense rom, which other than this is so full of win.
I am using Handcent and my phone it will no longer send MMS messages. It just acts like it's sending, indefinitely.
I noticed in Titanium that there was an app called Messages 1.00, which cannot be installed back to the phone from there.
I believe that this app not being installed is the cause of the issue, but I don't see it in the the Backup folder.
What the heck is the technical name for this app, so I can push it back. I know kind of a stupid ?? It's been a long day.
HTC Incredible :: Facebook Will Not Sync Contacts
Aug 4, 2010I logged out of Facebook through the Android App then logged in and all is well. I dont know why it had to come to that, it should do it automatically.I have even done battery pulls which should theoretically log me out, oh well, it works now.I have done some searching around and there was a problem with Facebook a couple weeks back, but I dont think this has anything to do with that. I added a new friend on Facebook on the 25th of July, I also added them manually into my People on my Inc. For whatever reason when I go to the Link part of the contact and go to the Facebook Link, it says to pick from my friends. He does not show up in my friends if I am browsing through the link area. I can go to facebook from the phone and from the computer and he is there. It is making me insane.Also the profile pics are not updating, and havent for many months. My wife's picture has not changed on my phone's end in 4 months, but on the actual Facebook site it has.

On my old blackberry this was automatic but for some reason it won't work on this phone. Also do you guys leave your fb signed in all the time? I don't mind leaving it like this but I'm wndering if it will always how me as being on fb if i'm always signed in from my phone.

2. This is just a silly question but if I plan on buying the extended battery, does it really matter if I turn my phone on while charging it? I am having it shipped to work and I have been teasing my one co-worker who has a storm about this phone for months so I am sure she will want to see it!

Aug 19, 2010I've rooted my Dinc and got skyraider 2.5.2 with full backup through titanium and nandroid.
Here are my questions.
1) Is there a way to transfer the exact status of my previous contact to my new rom? I've linked and synced all my contacts with facebook and stuffs and it looks like all those links have been disconnected. I don't want to link again manually.
2) Why does titanium not backup SMS? I've restored my titanium backup and none of my SMS got restored. Luckly I've used SMS Backup & Restore to backup, so that's not a problem, but I was wondering if I'm misssing something in titanium.
3) When I'm restoring apps with titanium, I have to keep giving permissions to install apps (clicking install button). I have around 80 apps, and I would much prefer if it's automatic without asking for my permission. Is there a way to do that?

AppBrain told me to upgrade it (HTC version), and upgraded to market version. Is there a difference? Should I care? Is there a way to undo what I have done? May 5, 2010Instead of trying to grab the notification bar and swiping it down, simply start ABOVE the screen and swipe down. Fast or slow makes no difference.
You can swipe it back up, or simply hit the back button.

But is there a way to not sync all my friends on facebook to my contacts but still have it signed in on the EVO? I have too many people on facebook that don't have numbers so it gives me a million email addresses I don't need or even doubles some of my contacts.
