View 2 RepliesCan nandroids be renamed? I'm getting quite a few saved up and the date code is not tickling my memory of what the set up was on that particular day.

I was running Adobe Flash Player 10.1.92.8. I uninstalled Flash and installed 10.1.72.7 and now hulu works great. is this weird to anybody else?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAre there any developers online working on getting this thing rooted? Im currently an eris user and it took forever to get that thing rooted. And Im loving it for now, but im aware of its current limitations. But since I been rooted, I pretty much have an irish twin of the incredible. live wallpapers with sense, and all of the 2.1 features. Id be totally psyched about purchasing an incredible (would have to be bought at full price though), rooting it and using cyanogen mods on it. What a glorious day that would be, when that its possible. Right now I'm not too concerned with the incredible just yet. I'm not frustrated enough with my rooted eris to want to forsake it for its replacement. Have fun with your new devices though people.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to kill some apps, like calculator, that I have replaced and don't want. Here are the commands (in both Terminal and ADB): su
# rm /system/app/Calculator.apk
rm: remove '/system/app/Calculator.apk'?y
rm: can't remove '/system/app/Calculator.apk': Read-only file system #
Notice the "su" command. It shouldn't be read-only. I really want to unclutter my app drawer. The build is Cyanogen Mod-6-07252010-NIGHTLY-Inc.
I was wondering if anyone knew where to find the notification sounds for sms and emails for the cyanogen mod. I loved the custom rom but had to switch because I like TV out more. I really liked the default sounds however and wanted to put them back on my most recent rom.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I wanted to install Cyanogen w/ Google apps, but the google apps keeps erroring when downloading. Says the zip is corrupt. So now I have Cyanogen Rom running on phone so I go to Rom Manager and try to install Google Apps (Froyo) and it says the zip is corrupt. Google Apps (Eclair) downloads fine but sends me into a boot loop. I am was running Cyanogen Mod 6.0.2. I'm back on Uncommon Sense now. Is there a fix for this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted HTC Evo with the stock 2.2 system, and I am considering installing Cyanogen Mod 6, but I'm not sure if it is worth the hassle. What benefits does CM6 have over the rooted version of Froyo on the Evo. I kind of like the Sense UI, so that keeps me from going ahead and installing it. I know that Bluetooth controllers actually work in emulators if you use CM6, so that is a major selling point for me. Is there anything else I should know?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running the latest version of Cyanogen Mod on my evo and LOVEit! However, I have yet to be able to install a theme on my phone. I was under the impression that it was just like flashing a ROM to my phone and that I could even use ROM Manager to do so, but I just can't seem to figure out how to do it. Here's a current screenshot of my main home screen: Basically, all I want to do is to be able to turn the notification bar black. I'd like for all the menus and popups and whatever else to be black as well, but I would settle for just the notification bar.

View 8 Replies View RelatedShould I be backing up everything every time I flash a new ROM? In other words, will flashing a new ROM wipe out my contacts and all my apps? If so what all does ROM manager save when I do a backup or restore point? Also, how do I delete apps I don't want that came with the ROM? Such as chrome to phone or the default browser in favor of dolphin browser.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I did a factory reset after getting 2.2. I got most of my contacts back thru Facebook and Gmail syncs when I set them up at the beginning. I foolishly "Imported from SD Card" my "Phone" contacts that I exported pre-factory reset thinking it'd just add the ones I didn't have synced with Google or FB. Now I have like 2-3 of the same for each person and sadly, there is NO way to undo this that I can see... unless there is? If I delete ALL contacts, will it automatically restore the ones I sync from Google and Facebook so I can lose all the dups and trips? Any better way to handle this? I can't stand when I type a friend's name in Handcent, I see his/her name and number show up 3 times.
