View 5 RepliesI'd like to only use dropbox for my backups to save space on my nexus 4. how can i go about deleting my local backups yet still keeping my cloud ones and not having them erased my next sync?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded the latest version of Titanium off the market and it now offers scheduled backups (not sure if this is only for the paid version). There are also a handful of other new features that I haven't checked out yet. I am pretty excited about this and just wanted to give my rooted brothers and sisters a heads up
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought a tablet, and want to restore a few apps to it (I can install them from the market, but it's the data I'm more interested in). Is this a no-no?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an easy way to clear out the backups from Titanium Backup? I've restored my backups and gotten the apps I want to keep to the point I want them, but there's a ton of bloat that got backed up from the original install of my phone and I want to clear it out.
View 2 Replies View Relatedis there any way to restore titanium backups without root access?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI enabled TB to sync to Dropbox this morning and it's at 78% after about 3 hours. I'd like to sync to the cloud regularly, but I can't afford half a day to do so. If after the initial backup will it only upload changes or does it upload all the backed up files each time?
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast night I donated and am just waiting for the paid version now, but I have a couple of questions:
1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?
I've seen posts about this in other device threads and I just wanted to confirm that for the Evo I can rename and/or delete Nandroid backups? Is it as simple as connecting as a disk drive and renaming them that way through my laptop?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have backups made manually and scheduled backups displayed in separate lists? I would like to have my manual backups in a list(with max history) and backups scheduled weekly and daily in a different list with a different max backup history(3 for daily, 2 for weekly).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed my first rom. Before I did this I ran a Nandroid backup after rooting, then a Titanium backup. Now that I have the new rom instaled, should I run another backup of both? Will the previous ones be saved in case I ever want to use those from before the rom flash?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOk I figured out how to delete the ATT bloatware off the Captivate using Titanium Backup. But how do I reinstall it? I only deleted 'ATT Family Maps' for now until I can figure out how to reinstall things, incase I have a problem later and need to go back to ATT. I clicked 'backup' before i deleted it. But I don't know what buttons to press to get stuff back from the backup.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYou can do a backup from within Rom Manager, Also from within Recovery. But if I do a backup in Rom Manager, it wont help me if I am in a bootloop right? Because I have no way to enter Rom Manager. So I do backups within Recovery also. But I don't see a way to name, or label them. Does anyone have a good system worked out other than keeping notes on a notepad?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI like having dates on the nand backups, but can I rename them without I'll effects? It will still load them up with names instead of dates right?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi flash this vanilla 2.2 rom to my incredible since this is my first time.. I did a full Titanium backup and am getting ready to do a nandroid backup. Do those files need to be moved off the phone prior to wiping? I would assume so but I fail to see anything mentioning to do that.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI dropped my effin phone and the screen cracked which means now i have to unroot and try and get a new phone. is there any way to export a nandroid backup and titanium backup so when i get my new phone and root it i can just throw those backups on it and bam im back at where i was?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI rooted with Un revoked 3. I installed the Virtuous Rom 2.7 with Custom Kernel. I restored all apps from Titanium, but my MMS/SMS did not return. I had to restore from My Backup Pro. I would like to only keep one and use one Backup app. Is this normal for Titanium?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi had asked before and was told this can be done, but i can't figure it out...can anyone help me out? how do i backup all my sms and mms messages w/ titanium so i can restore them to a new rom?
View 3 Replies View RelatedLets say you do a factory reset of your phone and want to put all your apps back on, you have to install each one individually with TB? I was hoping Titanium Backup worked kind of like Nandroid in that it just restored everything on it's own, or at least install the apps on it's own without you having to sit there and click install for each one. BTW I only have the free version.
View 17 Replies View Relatedi just did a nand restore and tried to run titanium backup but it keeps getting hung up, this time its been stuck at 42% for several minutes. should i just end process and try again?
i just stopped it at 42%...everything seems to have been restored from the nandroid restore. so i guess titanium is just to be used when your loading a custom rom and not a rom you have backed up?
I backed up all my apps and user data just fine with it. I just installed a new rom and Restored all the data and it went fine, but I was curious about one thing.
I have 110 apps on my phone, not sure if thats a lot or not, but its a PITA sitting there and hitting "Install" then "Done" 90 times. Is there a way to have it just restore without asking? I understand this is easier than trying to download and install them all over again.
So I just rooted my dinc and am about to add the ota radio update.zip but I'm trying to backup my stuff with titanium and can't seem to figure it out. I would greatly appreciate any advice or answers to these questions:
Must the phone be plugged into the computer? If so must it be windows?
Must usb debugging be on as well as allow unknown sources?
I download busy box and can get to the screen where I select backup apps and data but have no idea where the backup of this is stored...where? I hit the backup apps and data button and run but instantly I go back to the home screen. Is my stuff backed up? Please Help! THanks so much!
I just rooted yay. But now titanium backup says I'm not rooted. Should I install a ROM anyways?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was hoping someone could assist me. I have paid for and installed Titanium Backup, but can't seem to locate it on my phone, in the apps list or elsewhere to actually run the application. It is hiding from me. In the settings, applications, i can see it and see program details, but as far as a program exe i cant find how to actually start the program.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've done all of the backups involved with gaining root for the first time (titanium and clockwork i guess?)
What are my options for restoring?
I would love to try other roms or other things requiring a wipe, but id hate to re-download all apps and change all settings all over again.
For my first wipe, i ended up downloading each app one by one. Im assuming there is a more convenient way?
Can i also restore phone settings if i want to?
Do I really need to install these apps on my own one by one, or is there a way to make it install automatically? This is going to be a pain if I need to sit here and select Install then Done for each freakin app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRestoring from Titanium, I apparently hit the back button instead of "done", and now Titanium is showing in the status bar menu as being at 29%, however I can't actually access it. Instead, if I select it, I get the standard Titanium window. Basically it's like the update is waiting for my input, but because I hit "back", I can't select anything. What the heck, Titanium? This has happened three times now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust curious. If I am using a deodexed ROM and uninstall a "stock" app with Titanium, is the end result of less bloatware etc any different than using mv to apps.disabled via ADB?
I have started using Titanium for its simplicity and not needing to connect to my PC but I want to use whatever is best.
After installing my first ROM I began restoring my apps using titanium backup using batch mode. During the restore, I still had to manually click OK to allow each program to be installed. Is there a way to have it restore everything without having to manually grant each app access? Clicking through 54 apps takes a while.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny good alternative to titanium backup for next time? I hate having to go and click "install" then "done". Pain in the ass. I know theirs a few out their but what'll y'all do in this situation?
