i m using ma htc wildfire s with d cyanogen mod 10 version but i want to update it with the 10.1 version , i downloaded 131 Mb zip file n try to flash it but it gives error of MD5 file .

I rooted and tried to flash the new 6.0 Cyanogen to my Droid and it got stuck on the Cyanogen boot screen. Can anyone please tell me what I might be doing wrong? I must be missing a step somewhere I'm just not sure where.

I used ROM Manager to flash and I'd like to continue using it to install themes. Is that a good idea? Is it always necessary (or recommended) to wipe all when flashing new themes?
View 9 Replies View RelatedNeed some help, please....I used ROM Manager to download Cyanogen, backed up my Ultimate Droid V8, then installed Cyanogen. Did not wipe data. When the ROM loaded, there was no Droid virtual keyboard in any of my apps. But Cyanogen looks cool and I'd like to give it another try. If I wipe my data, does that mean I have to reinstall all my apps? If I wipe my data, will it still appear if I restore my backed-up ROMs?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed cyanogen 6.0 on my htc hero cdma and now I have no market app. I dont have any file manager like astro where I can install apk files through the sdcard. Ive tried using the adb push command from my pc but it says that it couldnt because its a read-only file system. (lost me there!) Is it possible to install it by flashing a zip of it from recovery like a rom. Im kind of stuck here, I have no way of installing new apps....

View 49 Replies View RelatedAnyone ever had this happen? Downloaded an update after the 2.1 upgrade and I sync'd my contacts with FB. It then deleted all of my contacts.So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops. It just stays on Installing.However, the FB app works fine on the phone itself.Is this a Market glitch? Is there anyway I can purge it from out of my downloads section?

(1) the market was not present in the first place, so i had to download and install it...but google play is not working, whenever i select google play, it comes back to the home screen.
(2) i have'nt kept any nandroid backup, and i've made the permanent root on the phone with with mod.
(3) now i want to revert back to the stock rom, but i cam unable to do so....how to roll back to the sock rom.
(4) i have tried to flash the roms from this thread [URL] ... ... trired both the methods. but didnt work!
I desperately need a solution for either (or both) of these:
(1) a way to make google play & android market work
(2) to roll back to the stock rom ( link to a desire z stock rom and instructions on how to do it! )
so, is there a way to get my phone back o the way it was? (normal 2.2 /2.3 stock)

I have a problem with Rom custom:CyanogenMod 7.2.0 by FrozenAceTeam. The lockscreen is very slow at power.I have already tried to set the delay after timeout on immediately,but the problem does not disappear. How can i resolve it?

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to install Cyanogen mod are very difficult. I find myself back-tracking all the time.You can't just simply start there, first you have to unlock your phone, right?Then root it? Then install Cyanogen mod, but in between all of that you have to install the Nexus 4 toolkit, which i did, and it says that it's unable to find my drivers.
I've uninstalled my drivers, turned my computer (I have windows 8) back on so it'll re-install them, got the LG drivers pack, went to the XDA forums were they gave me the right link to download more drivers, still nothing.
I never rooted my phone before and thought i would give it a try(SuperOneClick) and it went fine. Then I decided to use Clockwork to install a mod (cyanogen) and cleared everything i needed to, but after it reset it locked on the logo, the LG with a blue swipe behind it, and thats all i get. I tried putting it into APX mode, but my volume buttons wont respond.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone from a waste level height onto concrete, the phone appears to be in perfect condition but the screen is completely black and unresponsive. I had upgraded the phone, a motorolla Backflip, to Cyanogen 7.1 so it would suck less (still sucks) and what I need to do is somehow fix the screen or maybe view the files somehow from my computer. There was tons of really important school related notes on a notes app I downloaded as well as other really important files. My number one goal is to somehow get these notes or just see them at least in whatever way possible, fixing the phone is not so much of a worry because I already have a replacement. The phone vibrates when it powers up and the LED notification light blinks as it is being charged like its supposed to, the keyboard keys don't light up like they're supposed to and I'm not sure they work, but the home, back, and the other button with the four squares on the front of the phone work and vibrate when tapped but they don't light up either. The phone is clearly on I just can't see it.

The closest that I've found is the JAMT White theme, but the settings screen is still all white-on-black, even in the paid version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe last stock update to my Galaxy SII somewhat messed it up, it started running boiling hot, drining the battery without showing any CPU or anything. So today I installed the stable CyanogenMod (10.1.3) and so far it doesn't have this problem.Two important questions:
- how do I get my gmail address book inside the phone ? Under Settings/Accounts I only see CyanogenMod, and trying to add one gives me Corporate (Exchange), CyanogenMod (again) and Email.
- how do I get Swype ? It's not available from the Language&Input settings.
- how do I view the external SD card from the file manager ? It only shows the internal storage.
I got tired of the kindle fire OS, and really loved my nexus 7, so I decided to flash it to twrp and cyanogen. So following the directions on the youtube video, (can't link it) which was an awesome tutoral, I flashed it. Now the issue I'm having is that Cyanogen will start to boot, get to a screen that says 'problems loading widget', then reboot, and doesn't stop.

I have tried to update the default youtube app on my nexus one (Froyo) numerous times. I get the message "Error Installing - Package file was not signed correctly". I am trying to upgrade from 1.6.21 to 2.0.26.I have tried unmounting my SD card, clearing the cache for the android market, the download manager and the original youtube app.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted HTC Evo with the stock 2.2 system, and I am considering installing Cyanogen Mod 6, but I'm not sure if it is worth the hassle. What benefits does CM6 have over the rooted version of Froyo on the Evo. I kind of like the Sense UI, so that keeps me from going ahead and installing it. I know that Bluetooth controllers actually work in emulators if you use CM6, so that is a major selling point for me. Is there anything else I should know?

I was under the impression that it was just like flashing a ROM to my phone and that I could even use ROM Manager to do so, but I just can't seem to figure out how to do it. Here's a current screenshot of my main home screen: Basically, all I want to do is to be able to turn the notification bar black. I'd like for all the menus and popups and whatever else to be black as well, but I would settle for just the notification bar.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running the new cyanogen mod 6 RC3 and I tried to watch Hulu and it wouldn't work, website or widget. I did the about:debug UAString thing. nothing. I was running Adobe Flash Player 10.1.92.8. I uninstalled Flash and installed 10.1.72.7 and now hulu works great. is this weird to anybody else?
