How do I delete everything off my phone? Contacts, etc.? I hit format storage to erase all. Its says preparing to format. But doesn't delete everything? I want the phone to be wiped out to out of the box never turned on settings.

The nice thing about my BlackBerry is that it gave you the option to "Delete from Handheld, or Delete from Handheld & Inbox". I clicked on PDF, and low and behold there is something that was downloaded to the SD card as a PDF on it. I did not download this, which means they gave me a used SD card with the replacement phone ( sketchy right?) Anyway, I want to delete the pdf, how do i do it? I know there is an uninstall place somewhere, just not sure where it is. Also how do I check to see what else is on the SD card?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI thought I understood that there was no capability to sync with Outlook via the USB cable so I imported all my contacts and my calendar to gmail and that worked fairly well. Except for contact updates being a pain.
The I discovered HTC Sync and installed that. The result was duplicate calendar entries and some, but not all, contact duplicates on the phone.
I deleted the duplicate contacts and re-sync'd so it removed those contacts from Outlook. Luckily I had just backed up my PST file so I was able to get them back.
How to delete all contacts and calender entries from the phone so I can try again.
I apologize I'm new to the forum tried to search to see if I could find the answer by running a search but didn't see anything. Anyone else having this issue? Trying to delete a entire thread, but it takes forever and never deletes the thread.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my phone yesterday, and the verizon rep insisted he needed to setup a new google account on the phone. I didn't feel like arguing since I already have one so I let him do it. Once I got home, I setup my account and sync'd all of my email and contacts, but I cannot delete the original account he setup off the phone. I also cannot sync my calendar through my account. The phone is only wanting to sync the calendar with the account he set up. Can someone offer advice on how to delete the account he setup? BTW, I have gone in and tried to delete the account, but the phone tells me applications need this account and in order to delete it, I will have to reset the phone to all defaults and all information will be lost.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I did a factory reset after getting 2.2. I got most of my contacts back thru Facebook and Gmail syncs when I set them up at the beginning. I foolishly "Imported from SD Card" my "Phone" contacts that I exported pre-factory reset thinking it'd just add the ones I didn't have synced with Google or FB. Now I have like 2-3 of the same for each person and sadly, there is NO way to undo this that I can see... unless there is? If I delete ALL contacts, will it automatically restore the ones I sync from Google and Facebook so I can lose all the dups and trips? Any better way to handle this? I can't stand when I type a friend's name in Handcent, I see his/her name and number show up 3 times.
