Would like to put some photos that Ive taking with my camera, onto my phone, can somebody tell what size they should be to use as wallpaper.
i have done a search, but with no luck
also is there any apps, that will let me set them as a slide show

How i can show a set of images as slide show in android?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI guess this question has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a proper answer/solution. Have a note-taking app, which allows to take pictures. For that I start an intent, that starts up the built-in camera-app. So far so good. But when I show that image in my app, it's in a much smaller format The funny/weird thing is, that the camera-app did take a full-resolution picture! But for some reason I can't get the full version to show in my app? So, when I use the standard Android Gallery app, and go to that picture, it is very obvious that it's full size (I can zoom in and see details I really can't see when I zoom in, in my own app). Also, the dimensions are really those of the original picture, taken with the 5MP camera. In my app, they are very small. My phone has Android 2.2, but the same happens on my emulator (Android 2.1). How should I retrieve the pictures in my app? Tried a couple of ways, but none works :( Don't need a complete example (allthough that's very welcome), just a few clues are enough to search for myself.

View 13 Replies View RelatedCan't get wallpaper to size correctly since running the Android 2.1 update on the Sprint Hero.
The HTC wallpaper shows correctly but the resolution of wallpaper set from my photos seems to be about 800x600. The onscreen size remains the same regardless of the original photos size, I've tried everything from 340x480 down to thumbnail and it stays the same.
Also when I try to load a photo as wallpaper I get a horizontal crop box even though the screen is obviously vertical.
So only because I haven't taken the time to figure it out, I still have two mail apps. The gmail app and the mail widget. For some reason, when I get mail it will from time to time show up in the email app. It always shows up in gmail, but every now and then, it will also show up in the mail widget. The question I have is, why will HTML mail only show the attachments/pictures in the mail widget. The same email will not display in gmail. How can I get gmail to show HTML images?

Also if i find that the image does not fit the screen, is there a way of getting round this?

View 29 Replies View RelatedI read that 960x854 should be the right resolution. I did with Gimp an image with that size, copied it to the sd card and set it as wallpaper. What a wonderful surprise when the android tried to crop it. So, I guess, 960x854 is not the right resolution. any insight?

Just the media cable holds it. So long story short I ended up with an ally and all i need to know is i have sms messages on the moto i want to transfer. There has to be an app that can do.

I'm new to Android,but I've had smartphones.I've had an iphone and win mobile phones. I'm not sure I'm understanding how to import video to the droid. I tried just making a folder on the sd card and pasting a video(mp4) in it, but the droid doesn't recognize it.Then i used Motorola media link, it worked, but the picture quality didn't seem as sharp on the droid than it did on the iphone(didn't compress it when i transferred) and can't seem to figure out how to expand video to fill screen.

View 33 Replies View RelatedWhen I had 2.1 on my EVO I would occasionally get single picture MMS that I would receive as a "slide show," however, when I would try to view the picture, it would open up in the slide show mode or about HALF A SECOND then close. VERY ANNOYING. Well, before I could try to fix the annoyance, I dropped my phone, sent it in for repair an 20 days later, got my EVO back. The slide show half-second-opening was FIXED matter of fact I was NOT receiving anything as a slide show at all. THEN, one day, my father (also on Sprint, using a Samsung Rant) sends me a SINGLE picture and it appears as a slide show!! Well, the slide show worked which is well, ok but the slide show option I find QUITE annoying.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUnder gallery, I've tried setting wallpaper from images stored. I'm experiencing two problems:
1) When using the green border to select the part of the image I'd like, it never stretches to the full size of the image. It maxes out at about half the size of any image.
2) Once cropped after clicking set as wallpaper, the wallpaper shows way too zoomed in and I lose at least half the image I cropped.
Trying to set myself up with a nice wallpaper, so I went to interfacelift.com, found an image w/ 800x480 resolution (this is correct for the Dinc, right?), and once i bring up the image in my browser, I long tap, click save image, and then it just says download unsuccessful, and nothing else. I also tried finding an option for "set as wallpaper" but couldn't find anything.

I've tried "Wallpaper Set & Save" and it just crops it automatically. I just installed the ADW Home Launcher and I can get up to 7 screens on it... but for some reason, my phone still wants to perform as if it's running on 3 screens. So it just automatically crops it.

My mobile is xolo q800, see my attachments in 100 % zoom .1st image shows a comparison between the original pic (left side) and the same pic as my phone wallpaper (right side) with no cropping and scrollable taken by default screenshot (hold vol- and power button simultaneously). i have marked the problem areas with black circles for u to compare notice the scar below the eyes appears smudged in my phone...the same pic looks good without smudging when viewed with astro file manager or quickpic....but even when i set the same pic from quickpic(no smudging in quickpic app) as the wallpaper....the wallpaper looks smudged again.
