Does anyone know how to get hero to recognize or install .jar or .jad files? I'm trying to install the bloover 2 if ya know anything about it can you throw me a bone here

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently lost the charger and cable that came with the phone, and bought another one, but the actual connector is slightly different. When I plug my phone into my computer, I don't get anything, either on the phone or on the computer, except that the phone does start charging. I get no "start USB service" or whatever option in the phone and the phone does not show up as a drive. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero. I'm guessing it's the cable, but I'd like to confirm before going out and buying another cable.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI posted a a few days ago about my Hero not syncing with my pc. In short, although the phone charges, neither the hero or the pc recognize each other. Nothing happens. I tried various computers and cables to no avail. Yesterday, I took it into a sprint store to a guy I know is knowledgeable with the Hero (he is the manger and uses a hero) and even he was stumped. I just bought this phone used. I still am within the 30 days to purchase insurance for this phone. Is my only option to purchase insurance, pay a $50 deductible and send in the phone to get fixed?

When I plug it in to the USB port, the computer doesn't recognize the device. I've tested the USB ports with various other devices and it recognizes all of them but the Hero. I did get it to sync briefly and begin the upgrade to 2.1, but then it disconnected again after only being synched for a minute or so. I've restarted everything, and I do have the USB debugging enabled. I've scoured the web and forums looking for a solution and just can't find one. I'm running XP, SP3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used the recovery mode first time - it worked, second time playing with NoBloat - it gets stuck in boot screen.I can go to the recovery mode menu, both chinese and english, can do a full clear cache, data, format, but phone still won't boot.
I can use ADB shell, but Smart phone flash tool does not recognize phone, MTK droid tool recognizes it, but I can't backup it.

i have the htc hero sprint phone,but right now there is no service on it, i dont know if that is whats causing this problem, but i downloaded htcsync 2.0 off the htc website and it installed completely only problem i get is i download the file i want,which is a game from a website called brothersoft.com, and when i click the application installer on the htcsync program, it says the app was successfully transfered to the phone, but on my phone it says "there is a problem parsing the package", can someone help me on this? do i have to have service or do i have to download another program, also do i have to have an sd card, or can it all happen from just a usb cable
