I installed an app through HTC Sync Application Install.
How do I go about removing it? It's not in "my downloads" in the market. I guess because I didn't download it through the market. any ideas?

I wiped my phone and this time decided not to integrate Facebook sync with my contacts. The whole dialer/contacts application runs so much more smoothly without Facebook sync installed. Anyone else experience this?

From an HTC Hero Sprint user. mount your phone, copy your HTC Sync folder in your phone. Zip/Rar the folder for me and upload it! I accidentally deleted it from my phone and I can't sync my phone with HTC Sync application on my PC.

I have Windows 7 64Bit and have downloaded and installed the latest sync as well as drivers and followed all the instructions I could find and it shows up in devices just fine but still just shows me as disconnected on HTCSync and in the sync settings on the phone. This is getting very annoying.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have the htc hero sprint phone,but right now there is no service on it, i dont know if that is whats causing this problem, but i downloaded htcsync 2.0 off the htc website and it installed completely only problem i get is i download the file i want,which is a game from a website called brothersoft.com, and when i click the application installer on the htcsync program, it says the app was successfully transfered to the phone, but on my phone it says "there is a problem parsing the package", can someone help me on this? do i have to have service or do i have to download another program, also do i have to have an sd card, or can it all happen from just a usb cable

I don't need to be reminded to do that. Is there any way to permanently not get that notification yet not remove the HTC sync app?

I forgot to ask as well.I've searched online and the "chin" hero seems to have a little dent where you can prop it open. The Sprint Hero looks pretty solid... but I know you have to open it to replace the SD card so my question is how do I do it without ruining the molding?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't install the Sync software to my pc. I keep getting this error "The Generic Device Manager Executable has encountered an error and install cannot continue.
I have tried to un-install and reinstall several times and even downloaded from HTC support and same thing happens, so I am assuming it has something to do with my pc.
The pc has reconized the phone and actually the HTC window pops up but I can't click on the Syncronize Now or on the HTC Sync, and on the right side bottom of that window it shows phone as disconnected.
I am running Window XP and don't know if this matters, but I am also running IE 8.

Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.
