I would like to customize my lock screen, and after a little research I found an app called Lock bot. However, several reviews say that it doesn't work very well, at least not the free version (I live in Sweden and we can't buy apps yet). Is there another way to customize the lock screen?

I'm building a custom Home app. I want to change the lock screen to match my theme. For example changing the wallpaper. What I see in the lock screen now is the default wallpaper. I've tried searching this forum but can't find the solution. Yet I found some apps on the market that can do this.
View 5 Replies View Relatedsorry if this has already been answered, Ive already tried looking but cant find anything on it. is there any app to customize what you want the lock screen to say? i recently had my phone stolen and luckily got it back, but there was no way the person would've automatically known who's phone it was. i know on many phones like my old palm centro i was able to write my own greeting and put who the phone belonged to, who to call if it was lost, where i live, etc. does anyone know how or what app there is that lets you fix this in case the phone is lost again. it would make it a lot easier for whoever found the phone to know who's phone it was so they could return it.

Can anyone direct me to somewhere on how to customize the screens? Also, there are a couple of new icons at the top of my home screen - an "E" inside a circle and after a phone call, I get a green circle in the notification bar.

I know you can customize and add pages of icons but can any of those become the default page your phone powers up to? I'd want to remove the HTC Date-Clock-Weather banner and just have a plain wallpaper-type screen with a couple icons on it .

View 3 Replies View RelatedI hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter the 2.1 update the bit on spare parts that (in my case) took me to the home screen with one press of the end call button then locks the screen with another has gone, i honestly never knew how much i used that feature and i am now annoyed i cant lock the screen with one or two clicks, does anyone know how i can get this feature back? also does anyone agree that the signal strength and battery life have diminished since the 2.1 update?.

Last week I received the 2.1 update on the HTC Hero. I love it, BUT, i can no longer force lock my screen. Previously I could press the 'power/end call' button once to lock my phone. I can't do this any more. Is anyone else experiencing this? My only option currently, is to let my screen time out (set to 15 secs) and then my phone locks itself, but I cannot force this manually. It's rather frustrating - a lot goes on in my pockets in 15 seconds!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried searching for this topic but I couldnt find it. I just upgraded my htc hero to android 2.1. I never set a password for the lock screen. So it ended up putting a password on its own. I called sprint tech support and talked to them for about an hour and finally figured out that the password is my google account password. Thats all well and good but I am not a big fan of password protecting my phone because I really dont have any information of value on it, but I do like having the lock screen so I dont pocket diel. I found a few programs that will disable the lock screen that will get around this problem, kind of. Does anyone have a clue how to disable the password protection and still keep the lock screen. Its just really irritating because I dont usually lock my phone and every time I try to wake it I have to unlock it.

On teh new phone, it says I have no photos and will not let me go to wallpapers. Could this be because I hace swapped out the 2gig micro sd with a new sd card?Because I know I did it on the other phone.

View 15 Replies View RelatedFresh 1.1 lock screen is clear. I personally do not like that, BUT when I try to load another one via Pre-kitchen, it loads, reboots, and its still the same. I click to clear cached lock screen, reboots, still the same. Anyone know why it won't change? the boot screen changed first try, so that is good, just that damn lock screen. I don't like the clear thingy.
