HTC Hero :: Mp3 Stuck On Lock Screen
Feb 23, 2010For some reason my mp3 application is stuck on my lock screen. I have tried setting a new lock screen wallpaper, but it is still there. Is there anyway to get it off?

HTC Incredible :: Pattern Lock Screen Stuck On Everytime Unlocked
Jun 1, 2010I've had my phone for a month and I love it to pieces. Anyway, I've noticed lately it is getting more "glitchy" than it was in the beginning. Little things like, I'll be typing a message in a message box (happened in a facebook message and in an ebay message) and all of a sudden the keyboard will go away, go back to the regular screen, and the message will be deleted. Which is really frustrating after typing a long one.
This I can deal with.
I had, at one point, the pattern set to be used everytime my phone was unlocked (I found out people were playing with it at work when I walked away). So I set it to have a pattern. Now I no longer need it, so I turned it off. Now, everytime my phone gets unlocked, the pattern screen (with the 9 little circles) shows up. All you have to do it touch it, anywhere on the screen, and it goes away. I've checked and triple checked my security settings, no pattern is even set, and the boxes are unchecked for requiring a pattern.

May 29, 2013I have a stock arc s. which is having official ICS update. I tried to turn on bluetooth and the fone froze and then it restarted. It shows the sony logo and then xperia logo and then again goes back to the sony logo. it is not rooted.
I have a pattern lock screen.

Dec 7, 2009I hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Stuck On Screen CM6
Sep 28, 2010Last night, played a couple of rounds on Wordfeud and I'm assuming the battery went dead. Now I'm stuck on HTC screen when I boot up. Won't even show CM6 loadup screen. I charged it for a couple minutes and even booted into recovery with no luck. Battery pull doesn't do it either. Have I bricked my phone? I'm not quite understanding why it's not loading up anything. BTW: During the recovery screen, it said I had the RA image there so I doubt it's not on my card to boot up as I know that if you don't have this then it won't boot up.

Jul 31, 2009When I wake my Hero up, it goes into the lock screen which you have to drag down to unlock.
For some reason, 1 song from my music is always there along with the music buttons (back, pause, forwards) yet pressing any of them doesn't do anything. Even if I play a different song. it will stay the same. Any fixes?
Regarding TasKiller, I usually press the red button at the top to kill all, this then brings up a random screen (mine now brings up the HTC Magic OS desktop) and I have to press the Home button to return to normal screen. Does this happen to anyone else?

May 3, 2010I recently tried flashing Demagless 2.0.8 and now my phone is stuck on the HTC Black logo screen while the phone is starting up I have done a clean wipe and reflashed demageless 2.0.7.2 and also fresh 2d but now I get the same problem previously I've had fresh 2d installed and worked perfectly fine. I can still access my root but no matter what rom I flash it won't start up.

Aug 10, 2010After the 2.1 update the bit on spare parts that (in my case) took me to the home screen with one press of the end call button then locks the screen with another has gone, i honestly never knew how much i used that feature and i am now annoyed i cant lock the screen with one or two clicks, does anyone know how i can get this feature back? also does anyone agree that the signal strength and battery life have diminished since the 2.1 update?.

Jul 29, 2010I rooted my phone (HTC Hero 200 running 2.1) a few days ago, went with Fresh 2.1, but after having some trouble with WiFi Tethering I opted for Damage Control. I did a lot of searching online and found Damage Control 0.999999% and installed it on my phone. It is working okay for the most part, but I found out that there are a number of 2.0 versions out there so I decided I wanted to update to a new version.
1) Version 2.09.1 would not load (and I read that it was unstable so I removed it and rolled back.
2) I went with version 2.08.1 and when I rebooted the phone it would get stuck on the boot-up screen and would not go any further (I went in, wiped the phone, went back to the initial Kernel I installed (2.6.29-8f4e5478 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1), but it still wouldn't work.
3) I research other Damage Control ROMS and went with 2.06.1 Lite to download the DCUpdater, thinking that if I went with this edition I would use it to get to 2.08.1, but same result as before.
Do I need to download a new Kernel? Do I need to start from scratch and root my phone all over again?
Sprint HTC Hero :: Phone Stuck On Screen Afterloading DC 2.08 / Should I Try To Flash Fresh's 2.1.2?
Jun 7, 2010After using Fresh's 2.0d for the last month, I decided to try DC 2.08. I did a Titanium Backup, copied 2.08 to the SD, wiped the phone and the dalvik and installed from the SD card. After the installation, the phone boots up but is stuck on the HTC logo screen (the white background that says "quietly brilliant"). It looks like it is looping as it shows the sprint screen every few minutes before going back to the HTC screen. I've tried wiping and reinstalling, but I am getting the same result.
FWIW, I root using Fresh Kitchen's auto-root if that matters.
Any suggestions? Should I try to flash Fresh's 2.1.2?
HTC Hero :: Wake Up The Phone To The Lock Screen
Sep 20, 20091) I can press a button to 'wake' up the phone to the lock screen, but I may have to press a button 2 or 3 times to wake the phone up. it seems like it's not waking up correctly and on the first button press.
2) Twitter and other notifications 'sometimes' dont happen until I unlock the screen...this COULD be coincidence, but I thought I would throw it out for people.
3) I didnt get a voicemail given on Friday until today, which appeared as a result of me switching off my phone and switching it back on. has anyone else heard of this???
4) I cant figure out a way to stop apps from starting on bootup, such as peep? I use twidroid, so dont need two apps running of the same ilk?? Any help here?

HTC Hero :: 2.1 Update - No Longer Able To Lock Screen
Aug 30, 2010Last week I received the 2.1 update on the HTC Hero. I love it, BUT, i can no longer force lock my screen. Previously I could press the 'power/end call' button once to lock my phone. I can't do this any more. Is anyone else experiencing this? My only option currently, is to let my screen time out (set to 15 secs) and then my phone locks itself, but I cannot force this manually. It's rather frustrating - a lot goes on in my pockets in 15 seconds!

Jun 2, 2010I tried searching for this topic but I couldnt find it. I just upgraded my htc hero to android 2.1. I never set a password for the lock screen. So it ended up putting a password on its own. I called sprint tech support and talked to them for about an hour and finally figured out that the password is my google account password. Thats all well and good but I am not a big fan of password protecting my phone because I really dont have any information of value on it, but I do like having the lock screen so I dont pocket diel. I found a few programs that will disable the lock screen that will get around this problem, kind of. Does anyone have a clue how to disable the password protection and still keep the lock screen. Its just really irritating because I dont usually lock my phone and every time I try to wake it I have to unlock it.
