HTC EVO 4G :: Whats Best Way To Workout?
Aug 10, 2010I go to the gym a lot and I have a hard time with my Evo. How are you carrying your Evo at the gym when you workout. Any suggestions.

Android :: Workout Stats On Your G1 - Without An App
Dec 18, 2008Today I woke up and found an app on the Android Market for my G1. Looked to be the perfect app for my workouts. It's called WorkItOut -- odd coincidence because that was the file name for my excel file tracking my workouts for a long time.Well, I tried WorkItOut and it ended up having this odd glitch that synchronizes workouts. Like I put together my Workout for Bicep Day and my Workout for Tricep Day and it kept overriding the exercises for one day with the ones from the other day. I entered the exercises for Bicep Day and they got copied to Tricep Day -- replacing the ones already there. So I tried to fix Tricep Day and all of those exercises got copied to Bicep Day, replacing the exisiting exercises.
I tried deleting a day and recreating it, no dice. Same problem, won't let those two days labeled "2" and "3" keep their individual lineups. So I uninstalled. I was looking at the comments section to see what other people thought and someone wrote "please support Gyminee". So I googled it.Gyminee is a workout/food/nutrition/social networking website. There's even a mobile version(for iPhone) that works on the G1. So I set up everything in Gyminee on my PC, then logged in with my G1 and ta-daa! Exactly what I want! And when I use the Steel browser instead of the Android Default Browser, it comes with a virtual keyboard to tide me over until Android releases that in the update planned for first quarter of 2009.
This is great. I've been using my old T-Mobile Wing, because my workout tracking has been done with an excel sheet. I've been waiting for an App, or a Google Docs Mobile Update, or something to support Excel editing on the G1, and now I don't have to! HTC Incredible :: Workout Band Options?
Apr 26, 2010So like many of you I use my phone for everything possible and take it everywhere I go. For me this includes the gym and I will need an armband for the Incredible once I get it. Are there any options yet? If so what and where? And yes I know many people think working out with a ~$600 device is crazy but that is why I pay for insurance. And I am a long time lurker so hello everyone 3 days.

Tinkering with the towers lately and I've been seeing sme 4G coverage here are my mobile speed test results I was surprised considering I've been reading about people saying its more like 3 and a half G with speeds not much greater than 3G I realize however that right now there's almost 0 congestion and bandwith will slow considerably however the froyo update should even that out So what are your speeds?

Jun 7, 2010I got 2 EVOS Saturday. Mine flys super fast and no problems with apps. My wifes EVO isn't quite as fast as mine for some reason and apps crash a lot....she is at work now trying to use pandora and it plays for about 20 seconds and stops working. It has asked her if she wants to force close it twice already today.....Her coworkers have sprint and they are using pandora next to her with no problem so its not coverage. Dec 14, 2009I have tried using handcent sms for quite sometime now without the cons out weighing pros. So far I have noticed that it tends to drain more battery, some messages are not recieved/sent, and recently today it deleted my entire library of text messages. I am not complaining abot the app at all. I just want to know if my issues are unique or if anyone else has witnessed these issues on their phone. Let me know if I am just an idiot, or if my phone is acting up, or you guys have also had these issues. I hate to get rid of handcent because I like how I can change the color of the notification LED but its not worth having if it means deleting all my text.

Jun 9, 2010on average what % battery is your android system using. mine usually uses from 20%-60%. On average its 40%, pretty much after normal use at any given time mine is at 40%. seem normal or a bit high? i have system panel and no app seems to be hogging or anything like that.edit: after some tweaks my android system is anywhere from 10%-40% tops.

Jun 10, 2010This should go in the battery section perhaps but I'm in a hurry and wanna easily find it when I get home from work. My battery life is awful. I send txt messages and thats about it and my battery drains in a hurry. On days that I 'play' with the phone and use the hell out of it, it drains in fast forward. I read a couple pages of the battery life post and tips and tricks section and probably need to shut down or limit programs running on my phone. I have the power control widget on screen and most of the time have everything off. If surfing the web or whatever I turn wi-fi on, then off after use. If I do nothing with the phone for awhile then switch to task manager it will pull up a list of a dozen or so things running..thought this thing was supposed to kill these apps. Do I just go into each app or widget and find some options to limit everything? What about juice defender (is that right?)? Does it help? Seems like my phone is on the charger more often than not. I'm going to pick up a new battery but would like to learn how max battery life before I do.

Jun 5, 2010Just dropped mine for the FIRST time since I purchased it in February. Dropped it from about average arms height onto a hard-wood floor, and it had a silicone case on it. Not really worried, but I am just curious how bad you have dropped your Hero at one time or another? Also, what kind of testing do these phones go through? Are they designed to take a bit of a drop?
