Sep 21, 2010for the Droid X? Although I'm better on the larger screen I still mistype some and was wondering if there is good app that improves proximity and sensitivity issues. Preferably a free one but I'd listen if there was a good paid one.

Jun 7, 2010I got 2 EVOS Saturday. Mine flys super fast and no problems with apps. My wifes EVO isn't quite as fast as mine for some reason and apps crash a lot....she is at work now trying to use pandora and it plays for about 20 seconds and stops working. It has asked her if she wants to force close it twice already today.....Her coworkers have sprint and they are using pandora next to her with no problem so its not coverage. Whats the best way to go about exchanging it?

Jan 28, 2010ok so when i mount my hero to my laptop it asks me if i would like to scan it cause there may be problems with files on it or something and if i click scan it pops up another window with a start button i click it and then it brings up my hero as a removable disk and says please reconnect or something idk never saw this until now anyone know what going on?

Jul 2, 2010Really odd one this. It closes if I type a capital A. Nothing else. All other letters are fine.

I have factory reset, uninstalled everything, still the same. If I clear the cookies, cache, etc, and remove my homepage of google.co.uk, it seems fine. The T-Mobile default homepage works fine if I type a capital A. If I set Google.co.uk, and type a capital A, it force closes.
Hmm....and after a bit of digging....it only seems to do it on Google Mobile sites. Classic Google.com and .co.uk are fine. Google force loses, as does .com/m.
Anyone have the same issue, or know whats causing this?

Verbage:
Keyboard Manager allows you to customize what keyboard (input method) appear on input based on your phone orientation.
It displays the keyboards you have enabled on your android device, and let you select one per orientation (landscape/portrait).
As your phone switch orientation, the app automatically switch the keyboard.
Requirements:
- Rooted android device (app was tested on Samsung captivate 2.1)
- Root Explorer app, or similar app that allows you to edit the permissions of a file.
To install:
1- Download the app (KeyboardManager.apk) on your device sdcard.
2- Using Root Explorer, move the apk file to /system/app
3- Using Root Explorer, edit the file permissions like below:
-- User: 'Read/Write' checked
--Group: 'Read' checked
--Others: 'Read' checked
4- Exit Root Explorer
The app should be visible in your launcher as 'Keyboard Manager'
Update:
- Added option to disable notification icon
-' start on boot' feature is disabled because it's not yet complete and tested... Sorry for the confusion
Bugs:
-On certain applications (i.e: Messaging on Samsung Captivate), the input window occasionally freeze on orientation switch. Exiting the app, and resuming should fix it.
The app is still in development.

Tinkering with the towers lately and I've been seeing sme 4G coverage here are my mobile speed test results I was surprised considering I've been reading about people saying its more like 3 and a half G with speeds not much greater than 3G I realize however that right now there's almost 0 congestion and bandwith will slow considerably however the froyo update should even that out So what are your speeds?

Apr 18, 2010For those of you that are familiar with better keyboard. I was wondering about an easy way to switch from the t9 keyboard to the regular qwerty keyboard. I was under the impression that swiping left would toggle between the 2 but all that does is bring me to the numbers and symbols keyboard. I've been changing back and forth to the android keyboard because its faster than going into the better keyboard settings.

Dec 14, 2009I have tried using handcent sms for quite sometime now without the cons out weighing pros. So far I have noticed that it tends to drain more battery, some messages are not recieved/sent, and recently today it deleted my entire library of text messages. I am not complaining abot the app at all. I just want to know if my issues are unique or if anyone else has witnessed these issues on their phone. Let me know if I am just an idiot, or if my phone is acting up, or you guys have also had these issues. I hate to get rid of handcent because I like how I can change the color of the notification LED but its not worth having if it means deleting all my text.

Jun 9, 2010on average what % battery is your android system using. mine usually uses from 20%-60%. On average its 40%, pretty much after normal use at any given time mine is at 40%. seem normal or a bit high? i have system panel and no app seems to be hogging or anything like that.edit: after some tweaks my android system is anywhere from 10%-40% tops.
