does anyone else have an issue when trying to view a video from an email? i always get unable to fetch attachment, IM using the Gmail app on the htc evo 4g.its a .3gp video file taken on an EVO.

with any other device i have allways transfered my video files to my ps3 to watch them on the big screen . but i cannot do it with this phone it will copy photos no prob but not my video.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Ubnuntu it is possible to grab the raw flv file from /tmp after the browser has fully cached it. I want to take this file and drop it onto the phone (HTC Desire in my case) to watch offline. But the video format is not supported. Using ffmpeg I tried to convert it to different supported types (wmv, mp4), but it still does not play. Is there any prescribed way of doing this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIm using IMAP. What happens is I scroll down and open say the 20th email on the list. When Im finished reading the email, I click the back button. It automatically defaults to the very top of the mail list - forcing me to scroll back down to read the 19th email and work my way back up. In other words it doesnt take me back to where I had just scrolled.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 7 tablet. After I "View" and then "Save" photos received as attachments from Gmail, the thumbnail icons appear in Gallery but I can't thereafter open them. When I go into Gallery and touch the photo thumbnail, all I get is a black screen. The file's thumbnail icon in the Gallery is a generic icon and not the usual small thumbnail of the photo itself.
How do I view photos downloaded or saved to the Gallery? I haven't changed any Settings which may or may not affect viewing.

And not just audio podcasts like Google's app, you also get video podcasts as well! Though it does seem like it takes awhile to sync them, it is a way cool addition that makes doubleTwist closer to that all-inclusive experience that iTunes gives with all the different media.

If I tap on the folders, the inbox shows that there are the correct number of emails sitting in my inbox on the comcast server, but they never download to the droid.I've tried removing the account and adding it back, same issue. It never gets past loading messages.

View 15 Replies View RelatedMy partner has her Desire set to download/sync emails once a day but, it's downloading them more than that once a day. Is there perhaps another setting we're missing, or another setting which tells it how often to sync?It's set to once a day but, went off twice while we were at her mums yesterday within, id say an hour but, I think it was more like half an hour. It also notified her of more emails later on....I heard it go off about 5am this morning, to be told it was the fifth time it'd done it and so now it was on airplane mode which wasnt convenient. I managed to turn off syncing altogether (facebook gave me an option to change frequency, email didnt so i had to turn it all off in the menu i was in), which isnt convenient as she wants the weather to be updated regularly - Also an option on the list (cant remember what the third one was but, four options in total). So I'm thinking there must be somewhere else which says how frequently to update.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set my gmail account with the email icon/app on my home screen.I did it with the POP/IMPAP option because the other one wouldn't work (don't know what either of those mean).My problem is I can't get it to download my emails by itself. I have to go in and refresh. I have set it to check every 5mins and to alert me but it just wont unless I refresh. I'm assuming there's somthing I'm missing.Also, I just discovered there's a gmail app in that list that gets the emails instantly. It will make a sound with a new email, but I have to go to that list then to the gmail app to check.What I want is to be notified of my emails and have some icon be it the email one or the gmail one on my home page that lets me know I have an email.The other thing is the youtube app, but its seems lots of people are having that trouble.Also, how do I sync access my gmail contacts on my phone on either the gmail app or the email app. I can't see contacts on either right now.

The problem I am having is that a few of my previously read messages aren't showing up in K-9 mail. They should be in the most recent 25 messages but they don't show up. Any idea what's up?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm absolutely loving this thing so far. So easy to use, type etc, and the screen is gorgeous. Having a tough time deciding on screen proecto or not. I have my personal email setup on IMAP. When I tell the mail program to download anything more that 3 days worth of email, it skips the most recent week of new mail. So email I get today doesn't show up. If I use today or 3 days, it seems to work. I would like to have 14 days worth of email but can't figure why it won't work.

When I link to a video file (.m4v), Android wants to download the video to the phone, and then you can play the video from your phone.On an iPhone (and Palm Pre), however, the same link just opens up the video in the media player, and returns to the web page upon completion.
My website is for members only, and I would prefer them not to be able to download the videos. Obviously I know there is no way to completely protect the videos, but I would like to at least make it appear like you can't download the video for a casual user. Streaming is not really an option.So my question is how do I deliver the iPhone experience (opening in a media player) on an Android phone?
I cant send videos through my Gmail or stock email app via Yahoo. I can attach the video but when I click send it just sits in the outbox for a long time then I get a "message not sent" error in the notification bar. This notification keeps popping up till I go into the outbox and delete the Email.Is this a problem with the EVO or is this an isolated problem?

The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.
