I've got some photos stuck in an MMS that I tried to download before I realised that I didnt have the correct MMS APN settings in (due to swapping to the Modaco ROM). The correct settings are now in but the MMS is stuck at "downloading" status. Is there any way I can rescue it, there is no forward option and I've successfully sent and recieved MMS since.

i am trying to update my moment to 2.1 and i make it all the way through the update process until i press start download. after i press start download it says ready... on the status bar. i left it for about 90 mins and nothing changed. i have done this 3 separate times with the same result each time. i will be thrilled with any information that might help me for i desperately crave 2.1!!!

I removed GoogleTalk which seems to be the route of the issue and now I can't seem to get it back. Also, ever since then I get the following error message upon booting: "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. dumpstate_app_201008021101_com_google_process_gapp s.log has been saved. Use *#9900# to copy out log." I'd rather not have to factory reset since I'm already rooted and was just getting things the way I liked them.

After hearing about the crap Motorola pulled with the bootloader, I decided to wait on the ota update to Froyo until someone either figures a workaround, or they don't...to which I will update via the latest leak.
PROBLEM: After twice saying NOT to download this ota, I look down at my status bar and it shows something downloading at 10%...It's the syatem update!!!! I immediately pulled the battery, only to have the download continue upon restarting the phone. I am currently in Airplane mode waiting to hear if there is a way to KILL, CANCEL or STOP this download from installing!
New to Android here after a long hiatus and with a Moto X. I am enjoying it. But certain apps (for example Hangouts) are stuck on downloading. I tried clearing cache etc etc, restarted but to no avail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to download Life360 & it's stuck in downloading mode when I try to download it throught the play store. Nothing ever dowloads, I just see the horizontal bar with the download indicator "downloading".
When I try to get it downloaded from my computer to my phone by sending the link, I click on the link & get the message that it is already installed but then it starts trying to download the app with the message "Waiting for Wi-Fi". I don't use Wi-FI and I never knew this needed Wi-Fi to download. I dont' care to be charged for Wi-Fi.
How can I get this downloaded and why would I get a message that it is installed but get the above happening (i looked everywhere on my phone & it's not installed)?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs anyone experiencing some issues with the X8,I have a few problems with the X8 which I list below.
1. Downloading MMS settings does not work.
2. Some operator messages cannot be replied to.
3. The Music player does not have Playlist!!! This is such a let down. I don't want to be scrolling all the time to play another song.
4. When the phone syncs with address book from Google it deleted the contacts!
5. In Call volume is low, and the slider displayed shows there is some more volume left but it wont move anymore.
6. Can the SW prevent crucial things from getting uninstalled. I mean there are some system apps that could be uninstalled thay may cause the phone to brick out.
7. No Alert Profile are available, either silent or audible. Nothing like discreet or extra loud.
8. The Keypad slows down so significantly when the message thread is a bit long. It gets annoying to type. Also Some words need to be unlearnt.
Am I missing something as to how the phone shold be configured or what?Other than that, the phone is awesome, great value for money. Although I wouldn't mind paying for a much higher spec version in the same form factor. I love my X8 more than this X10 or X10miniPro.
I tried flashing a stock Android 4.2 JB ROM that seems legit. After flashing, I rebooted my device and saw the standard Nexus boot animation. So far, I though all was well. It's not. My phone has been stuck in this constant booting state for hours. I pulled the battery after an appropriate amount of waiting and held down the power and volume down+up button. Instead of booting into Fastboot mode, it went straight to Odin Mode. All I can do with my device is boot to Odin Mode or watch the Nexus boot animation over and over again.

At first I had no problems I downloaded 8 or 9 of them and they installed fine. Then I was not able to download anymore. Each one I tried to download said "download failed and did not install. When I looked at my status bar it showed 10 or 12 apps that did not download. So I did a factory reset and cleared everything out and started again. The same thing happens I get 5 or 6 and then the rest give my error saying not downloaded and not installed. So again I did a factory reset and tried again and came across the same prob. I got a few and then no more. I do not have a data plan yet. So I'm just using the wifi in my house. The ones that did not download i left them over night thinking they might get done by morning but no luck.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi took the captivate on the road and used it as navigation. it worked great for the first 3 hours of the trip, reception or not. i was amazed until i received a notice that my phone internal app memory is low and i need to uninstall my apps. theres no way my memory should be full because i've checked it every few days and i've had 1.6 gb free. all of a sudden i've got 126mb. i'm guessing that Google maps had downloaded the maps in advanced and had just filled up the internal memory. unfortunately i have no clue how to clear the maps. until i can figure this out i cant receive emails, or texts or any messages because the memory is full. does someone know how to clear the old maps from the navigation app? i'm on the road so i havent been able to look at it extensively. i will research it more when i get a chance and post anything i find.
