Im using IMAP. What happens is I scroll down and open say the 20th email on the list. When Im finished reading the email, I click the back button. It automatically defaults to the very top of the mail list - forcing me to scroll back down to read the 19th email and work my way back up. In other words it doesnt take me back to where I had just scrolled.

I currently have approximately 50 email in my inbox (it is a third party email address not a gmail address). I receive and send email just fine, it just will not give me the entire list so if I need to refer back to an old email message, I can not (On the phone).

When I do this, the chooser comes up and gives all kinds of choices, for anything that can handle text/plain i assume, because there's stuff in there that doesn't support "e-mail". How can I make it so that it will only show applications that support email (gmail, mail, yahoo mail, etc...) and not stuff like "Bluetooth", "Facebook", etc...
I've searched and I dont believe this has been answered. I accidently set "Astro Manager" as my default to viewing attached MMS/Picutres.
How can I undo this action (to where I have a choice to choose between astro and the view picture app)?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my wifi not connecting. I have to AP's in my house, on different channels. They work perfectly fine. I have the wifi toggle setting on the home screen that I usually press to toggle the wifi on/off. Recently, it hasn't been working after I disconnect from 3G and connect to wifi. It says the wifi is turned on, but it won't connect to either of the remembered APs. The only way to get it to automatically connect is to go to settings and view the list of APs. Only then will it connect to one of the two APs. This is really annoying, as it seemed to only start this recently and nothing has changed. My wifi sleep policy is never to turn off. It's a droid eris with 2.1 OTA. Ran a virus scan, nothing. Any ideas?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 7 tablet. After I "View" and then "Save" photos received as attachments from Gmail, the thumbnail icons appear in Gallery but I can't thereafter open them. When I go into Gallery and touch the photo thumbnail, all I get is a black screen. The file's thumbnail icon in the Gallery is a generic icon and not the usual small thumbnail of the photo itself.
How do I view photos downloaded or saved to the Gallery? I haven't changed any Settings which may or may not affect viewing.
I'm still using the default Email app on moto droid 2.1. Anyone have a better one? I'm all about flashy, anyone got anything flashy?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got an EVO, and I'm loving everything except this one thing. I would like my gmail app to default to "all mail," instead of simply "inbox." Why? I have some messages skip my gmail inbox (like facebook notifications or weekly coupons), so I have set labels to fix that! Keeps a clean inbox. BUT I want to still be notified of Facebook emails on my phone without having to specifically look for them. Say someone tags me in an unflattering picture, and I'm away from my laptop? I'd like to know right away! I have different needs for my phone and my laptop Does anyone else have these problems? Or...solutions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI like using K9 Mail, but I was wondering if there was a way to change the size of the messages listed in the in box or any IMAP folder. 10-and-a-half messages (with the subject on one line and sender on another) are displayed on my Moment's screen. While I like seeing all of these messages, it is not very finger-friendly. It is difficult to tap precisely on a given message. Is there any way to increase the size of the message list? Something like the default Gmail or Android e-mail app would be great. I have dug through the preferences of K9, but so far haven't found anything other than being able to change the theme of the app.

The problem I am having is that a few of my previously read messages aren't showing up in K-9 mail. They should be in the most recent 25 messages but they don't show up. Any idea what's up?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having the same issue as listed below from a post on Android Central. Thought I'd check here to see if anyone has had this as well. I've edited the post to reflect my issues. Link to original thread: HTC Mail Memory Leak/Bug ("Phone Storage Getting Low") - Android Central Forums. "I have reason to believe that HTC Mail has a significant memory leak or bug which is causing all of the "Phone storage is getting low" messages. I've had the phone for 3 weeks as of this Thursday. My setup is 2 POP3 email accounts configured during the initial setup in HTC Mail. At around 110-115 megs it triggers the "phone storage low" message. The problem is that as far as I can tell, there's no way to reduce the file size of this HTC mail app once this process has started.
I've deleted every shred of email, all In-boxes, all sent, all trash all everything from every mail folder for every account - no reduction in app size. I trashed every shred of email from the system and the HTC mail app still hovered around 110megs (and the phone storage low indicators continuing). After researching the issue online and piecing 2+2 together I realized that the only solution is to wipe the phone. The issue there is that there are no guarantees that the issue wouldn't resurface again (actually it's quite likely).
Bottom line: HTC mail seems to have a very significant memory leak or bug that causes it to blow through its allocated memory at an alarming pace and there is very little that can be done to stop it once it's started. I would strongly recommend to those of you with the above issues to not use HTC mail after wiping the phone".
Did google write the default email app? Is the source code anywhere? i guess i'll have to fix it myself, because it is utter crap. loses my account settings weekly, and now, it is pulling in my gmail account bodies (that isn't even setup in that client) for the emails in my exchange account. brand new phone. shiny 2.1 os.... i know this is the dev site, so i'll just fix it myself and roll my own email client since google apparently is too busy fixing the bugs in cars nowadays to deliver decent applications that work.

I keep getting wmv videos in my email and the only option is to "preview" it. When I say "OK" a list of players pops up, but none of them play the video, most don't do anything and some play the audio only. I have a player I would like to add to the list and even make it my default, but there is no way to leave the list of choices and "browse" to the player I want to use.
Does anyone know where to add a player to the list?
