I was wondering if I am able to view pictures and video from an SD card on my EVO. The card reader has a male USB and I would need to get the correct cables. Does the phone have the software to read these also?

with any other device i have allways transfered my video files to my ps3 to watch them on the big screen . but i cannot do it with this phone it will copy photos no prob but not my video.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Ubnuntu it is possible to grab the raw flv file from /tmp after the browser has fully cached it. I want to take this file and drop it onto the phone (HTC Desire in my case) to watch offline. But the video format is not supported. Using ffmpeg I tried to convert it to different supported types (wmv, mp4), but it still does not play. Is there any prescribed way of doing this?

I would like to have my photos listed in their prospective folders but the 2 I have don't do that. I switched from the Samsung Moment to the Hero and I know I had a program on the moment that did that but I evidently forgot to backup that program so now I can't remember the name and haven't found anything in the Market that does that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an activity that uses VideoView and MediaController. I have a .mp4 file. When I put the file in res/raw folder, I can play the video using Uri.parse("android.resource://<package>/" + R.raw.id_video)
However, when I put the same file in the filesystem, it plays properly. I use videoView.setVideoPath("/sdcard/myfile.mp4");
Is there any settings on the phone where when I take a picture/video to have the picture or video save to the SD Card and not the Internal Memory?I know I can transfer via PC Software but wanted to know.Another tidbit, I also tried to use a file explorer software to move pics from internal to SD Card and it won't allow me to. I get a can't paste error message.

I'd like to be able to save to my SD Card, however, I'd like for the saved files to not be in the folder "DCIM". I'd like to make a custom directory.
