HTC EVO 4G :: Small Triangle Icon Appeared On Screen
Jun 10, 2010A small triangle appeared today above the signal strength bars.
View 10 RepliesA small triangle appeared today above the signal strength bars.
View 10 RepliesWhat does a small white triangle above my signal strength bars indicate on my Inc phone status area of the menu bar? I don't get an "R" which I know means roaming nor an "X" which means no signal, but is in the same location.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIt's on the task bar right next to the sync icon, it's the shape of a cell phone. It wasn't there the past couple of days until this morning, weird.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Google Voice for my voice mail. A day or so ago the Voice Mail icon appeared on the app tray and won't go away. When I dial the voice mail all I get is my message. Is there anyway to reset/clear this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my Samsung Galaxy S3, a peculiar icon has appeared in the navigation bar (see the top-left corner in the image below):
It seemed to have appeared at about the time I put in my SD card, but removing my SD card (and restarting) has not shooed the icon away. Furthermore, the icon seems to prevent any other icons being shown (i.e. I am forced to pull down the bar when checking for new notifications).
There is no explanation for the icon in the notification window, and clearing the notifications does nothing.
I tried using Google Goggles on a cropped screenshot of the icon but no images were returned. what the icon represents and how it may be removed?
I have a weird icon on my HTC Hero that I have never seen before. Above the bars there is a triangle. The Hero manual does not address this icon. It seems to be completely undocumented. Although the manual says that an "R" in this area means your phone is in "roam mode", I believe my phone uses a triangle instead. In any case, my phone says that it is in digital roam mode. I have no idea why it seems to be stuck in this mode. I have rebooted it several times and, each time, it always goes into digital roam mode.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 2.1, I had the Google navigate widget on my homescreen. It worked nicely and I used it a lot. I did a factory re-set to cure my Internet sharing problem (it worked) but now I cannot find the little blue triangle Google navigate icon anywhere. I can still get to Google navigate via Google maps, but would like my blue triangle widget back.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm struggling with contacts in the phonebook modified by code, I noticed the lack of the small icon that identifies the type of account (e.g. google), despite the contact is perfectly synchronized with google (ACCOUNT_NAME and ACCOUNT_TYPE are populated of course)
In attach an example of this icon taken from contacts synchronized with google icon present (not modified via code). Which property controls his icon ?
, my son was using Skype on his tablet and suddenly the word DEMO appeared in the center of the screen. How can I get rid of it and be able to use tablet normally?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had an EKEN T02 tablet for one year now. For almost one month every time I switch it on there is a straight line running through my screen.
Sometimes it is green and thinner and sometimes it is grey and thick. As my screen keeps working it gradually fades away but it never disappears.
This problem happened few hours before i rooted my pad. Well the problem is a vertical green line that appeared in my screen and dont go off. I tried to use stuck pixel solutions and a factory reset (I didn't tried to put back in stock rom, I don't know how to do that).
The line is very perceptive on a pink background, but completely hide by a green background.

Is This a lcd problem for sure or a sofware problem? If it is a hardware problem, can i ask for a replacement from asus? For get a replacement, need i to put back in stock firmware or just a factory reset is enough?
Firmware: 5-0-11
Model: ASUS MemoPad FHD 10 Model ME302C
Android Version: 4.3
I tried to take a photo from my desktop using power+vol down and the line dont show up in the photo, maybe really a hardware problem...
I am having real issues reading anything. The icons are really small for as large as the screen is as well as some text thought the phone. Every phone I have ever owned had at least a small, large, larger even the yucky Storm I got out of I could pick larger text (point size). Anyone know if this was left out or how to fix? I dont want to have to whip out my glasses to see notifications, see icons, read

View 5 Replies View RelatedI know that MIUI uses a separate contact picture as a small icon (automatically downloaded), and a caller picture as a fullscreen picture when you get a call (manually set from gallery), as stated here. For me app Friendcaster automatically downloads my friends' facebook profile pictures in full size, and sets them as contact pictures. Can I use these automatically downloaded pictures as fullscreen caller pictures?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo last night I was riding in the car using my hero. All of a sudden 2 lines appeared across the screen horizontally about 1" up from bottom. Can't fix it. Tried a hard reset to factory and still there. Any suggestions? I am traveling in Chicago today so will find a sprint store for exchange. I have TEP. But at 2 days old should it just be swapped for a new one and not affect TEP?

Its a picture of a simcard with a small cog wheel in the bottom left of it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am getting bored with my current wallpapers that came with the eris. Of The Damned posted a link a few months ago for a Picasa web album with designs and pics for android wallpapers... Oliver Erben android wallpapers... The stuff in there is great! I can only get the small icon version of the pic to bring up the "save image" option? when I hold down on the image, not the full pic. Because off this it's really grainy as a background on the phone. Anyone know how to do this, or get other free and safe (no ads or bad stuff) wallpapers on my eris?? I am concerned with some of the wallpaper apps in the market because of all of the badmouthing in the reviews. Help out an amateur! Thanks in advance for your responses!
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy sister has a Samsung Galaxy y phone running Gingerbread 2.3.3 (not rooted). She plugged the phone after it ran out of charge and saw this screen (pic attached) with the battery icon empty and a blue triangle with a crossed out battery symbol inside it. The phone would not power up.
We tried everything : checked charger, plug points, usb charging, taking out battery and cleaning contacts but everything is fine.
just tried to root my phone and its stuck on a black screen with a pic of a desire with a red triangle with an exlimation mark in it! have i bricked my phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got HTC flyer 3G from my friend as gift....that one was rooted and s-off .when i tried to flash custom rom it showed option like recovery,wipe/factory reset,.
After 2 days,I have installed AVAST Anti theft app and forgot the password for it...so i gave it to reinstall the OS...and it was back to normal...So I thought to put custom rom..and started to boot the device with SD card inside....BUT the recovery didnt show any options as it was shown earlier, the black screen appears with triangle mark with '!' symbol....
The screen shows the following message
FLYER PVT SHIP S-OFF L
HBOOT- 6.10.1002
MICROP-0850
RADIO-3809.04.04.2LM
eMMC-boot
may 4 2011
I was just sending a text and all of a sudden i had the black screen of death and then the phone seemed to reboot itself with an image of a red triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it
I proceeded to try and turn the phone off but it gave me lots of options with a white screen, i couldn't get it to do anything so i took the battery out and then it started normally.
First post: This is probably a dumb question. Why do I get a white screen with a circle and a gray triangle when trying to view flash content? Example: Zinio or Olivesoftware. Motodroid, Android 2.2, Flash 10.1.92.8 from Market.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received my new Zopo ZP300+ Android phone with Android 4.0. When I downloaded a flip clock app from the Apps Store at Google Play it arrived on my screen so small I can hardly see it. This did not happen on my previous Androind phone by LG. How do I get the clock to show at the correct size?

View 3 Replies View RelatedStarted lastnight and AT&T doesn't seem to know what's up. I was fooling around with the AT&T Nav and the Google Nav when it happned. Not that I haven't mess with them before but I found it strange. Also got a small screen that popped up once when I went into applications saying Sim on/off with the choices to click ok or cancel. I'm baffled. Any help would be appreciated. Might just walk into AT&T for a replacement...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded (through tmobile) from a G1 (which I had since launch date, and loved until it just became too slow and all support ended) three weeks ago. I went to the tmobile store, and checked out the options. I LOVED the Vibrant, but I had some concerns over it's apparent "flimsieness"... the sales rep assured me that it only felt breakable, and that the Gorilla Glass screen and other features of the construction made it just as durable as all other phones. So, I got it.
I love it, still.
Thing is, last night, I picked it up off my desk, and it would not unlock. When I looked closer, I could see a small crack running under the screen. The phone has never been dropped, never been hit with any impact... nothing. It has never been out of my possession, never been water damaged... nothing. But, now, it has this cracked screen and won't unlock, won't do anything. Plus, now this morning it is showing a completely pink screen.
Of course, I know these (and all tiny little smartphones) are fragile. I have insurance for that very reason. If I break my phone, I am more than willing to pay the $130 through insurance to replace it. But, I do not feel like I (or anyone else, for that matter) broke this thing. The most impact it has had on the screen is button use on the touchscreen. If this thing is going to do this as a result of normal (actually, probably lighter-than-normal) use, I feel like it is insane for tmobile to expect me to pay for the claim. I do not think it is reasonable to ask a customer to pay $130 for a new phone 3 weeks into owning it, when it has not been damaged due to any human error or damage.
I had a Ghost Armor protector on it, and it was in a plastic protective shell, and it shows NO signs of damage beyond the messed up screen. I feel like that, coupled with the GPS thing (the awesome GPS was the second main selling point the sales rep spouted, after the Gorilla Glass screen!) and the fact that tmobile inexplicably removed my unlimited text option ("accidentally" according to them), should mean something to someone.
So, any ideas for options here? Is there ANY chance that I can tmobile's warranty people to regard this as a warranty issue and not an insurance issue? I do not want to be $400 into a new phone after just 3 weeks, especially with no solid GPS, no Froyo, and the other issues. I have been with tmobile for 5 years, and always justified it by their good customer service; so how can i get that customer care to work for ME now?
I just noticed this chip/scratch on my screen. It wasn't there yesterday. And nothing happened to my phone, so it's puzzling as to where it came from.
Especially since nothing "happened", I thought the screen was nearly impossible to scratch? Or in this case it's a bit chipped, so that may be the answer. Anyways, here's the picture.

does anyone notice that there small dots on the front of the screen when you hold in the sunlight and looks like a matte pattern it covers the whole screen. U can only see it when u tilt it up towards the light... anyone else seeing this? It may just be the oled screen not sure tho
