First post: This is probably a dumb question. Why do I get a white screen with a circle and a gray triangle when trying to view flash content? Example: Zinio or Olivesoftware. Motodroid, Android 2.2, Flash 10.1.92.8 from Market.

Yesterday I noticed a small white circle on the screen. It looks like an area on the screen the might be displaying brighter.

This was alright because it was a once in a blue moon type ordeal. However, recently since I updated to 4.3 it's consistently happening more times than not. My s3 carrier is Metro PCS, it runs 4.3 as stated again.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI rooted my Inc with the Evo tool, and installed a ROM through ROM manager, after deciding that I did not want to keep the ROM, I tried to restore back to the stock rooted ROM I had before through the clockworkmod/nandroid options. Now the phone is stuck at the white screen that reads, "htc incredible" and none of the buttons will cause anything to happen. I was debating on doing a battery pull and restarting, but I believe I read somewhere that doing so would brick the phone.
Update: Did a battery pull and was able to boot into the HBOOT and run the nandroid recovery again, I am trying it now to see if I can get back to the original ROM.

After rerestoring the phone, the boot animation runs all the way through and the phone starts back up.
my phone is stuck on the white screen that says htc incredible, now when i try to use the unroot method put the zip file. on the sd card and turn off phone and turn it on by holding the volume down and power button. when it tries to load the file as it should , it says no image or wrong image and does not load anything. now im stuck when i try to go into the recovery it lets me get there but i cant even wipe anything. it says something like E: Cant mount.
View 7 Replies View RelatedGot the WSOD on a non-rooted, stock 2.2 incredible last night. Pulling the battery is the only way to turn it off. Recovery and Factory Reset from hboot manager hang at the htc white screen. Clear Storage also goes straight to the white screen. If turned off it'll charge. SD card is not corrupted. Phone was in close proximity to an iphone 3g for maybe an hour. (We'd been comparing the screens then the iphone was placed on top of the incredible while we ate dinner.) Noticed that phone was at the white screen. Battery was not warm. No signs of external damage. Either this is totally random, or the RF from the iphone managed to fry something.

The dots are in an organized pattern like 8-10 across and maybe 10-15 down. They look like specs of dust under the protective screen, but they are placed to perfectly to be that
My guess is that its for the touch screen, but is it normal to see it when its off as well? I've never owned a touch screen phone.
My Incredible has been exhibiting some annoying problems, but the one that really irked me was the VERY pink screen when it was dimmed to a lower brightness setting. I got a very nice tier 2 rep who said he'd put me on the list for a replacement, but I would not receive it until mid august.Yesterday, my neighbor came over with a box; said that FedEx gave it to him since I was not home to sign. It was another inc! It was just the bare phone, and in the "certified replacement" packaging.No pink hue, no sound quality issues. I'm happy. I just found it strange that these things are on heavy backorder, and I somehow got one immediately.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is where I am now near enough after a day of doing this. I rooted my phone initially and it seemed to work, I had superuser permissions but it didn't seem to be fully rooted, I couldn't flash any ROMS and when in HBOOT setting, when I tried to go through the recovery part to flash the ROM the red triangle just stayed there it didn't change. I thought if I rerooted it may help, so I did, with the same step by step guide, however when I connected the phone and opened the windows push batch files the red triangle didn't change and I had to disconnect and turn the phone back on.
So now I have my phone which I do not think is fully rooted as the push files didn't work properly and I cannot flash any ROMS as I cannot run the recovery mode properly or get to use clock work mod as the red triangle is just always there. Everyone seems to have been having success and I just cannot seem to get anywhere. I have tried so many things from downloading custom ROMS from modaco etc. but I cannot flash any ROMS and now I'm just stuck. If there is a way I can properly just root the phone and flash the ROMS id be happy, I feel like I know what to do, but I just do not understand why when rooting, the last part when u connect the phone and open the push files didn't work, and also why when i thought the rooting had worked the first time, i still couldn't get to the part where I flash the ROMS.
I have a very simple requirement. I have a View object, lets say an ImageView object. I want to move this ImageView object in a circle.
More specifically, I want to move it along an arc, which is not a complete circle. I found in Android Documentation that comes with SDK that we can create a path from an arc but it does not mention how to use this path to make an animation that goes along that path.
Please note that I dont want to rotate the image. I have to move it in a circular path.
Went into the mall where I work this morning, there's a verizon kiosk right outside my store. Pick up an Incredible. Start driving home while playing with it. At a red light I notice a bright green pixel over an orange area of my wallpaper. Indeed it was there throughout any application I used. When I loaded up the browser and went to "about:blank" (which loads a fully white screen) I was able to see it there also.
Bummer. I live 14 miles from where I work, and where I picked up this Incredible. So I head over to another Verizon store closer to where I live. I show the agent, and he agrees and we swap it. Next phone... dust under the screen, 3 particles, right out of the box!
Once more another replacement. This time a red bright pixel around the same area (lower left quadrant of the screen) as the first phone! 4th phone into it, finally no issues.
Has anyone else gotten dead/ bright pixels in their AMOLED displays? Open your browser and enter this address in. about:blank, just like that. look hard, tell me what ya find. Took me four phones to get a good one. Hope everyone else here doesn't have to go through the same.
After I start my android application Google Map doesn't work. I've got API key from google, this key is written here:

In the LogCat I've found this error : Couldn't get connection factory client.
I've created a new .keystore file and I've pasted the new MD5 fingerprint into my browser, but I got the same API key.
I'm using Google API Level 8 and emulator in the Eclipse.
I've got another API key, but nothing has changed.
I have a WebView inside the ScrollView. The content of WebView dyanamically changes when it displays different html page. I have the following issue: For example I have A.html, and B.html. The content of B.html is larger than A.html, so the page is longer. When WebView load B.html, the ScrollView stretches its size to enable itself scroll for B.html, then if I go back to A.html, ScrollView doesn't resize itself. (The scroll area is exceed the content of A.html) What I want to have, is dynamic change the scroll area of scroll view to fit the webview's content.
