HTC Hero :: Icon - Above The Bars There Is A Triangle

I have a weird icon on my HTC Hero that I have never seen before. Above the bars there is a triangle. The Hero manual does not address this icon. It seems to be completely undocumented. Although the manual says that an "R" in this area means your phone is in "roam mode", I believe my phone uses a triangle instead. In any case, my phone says that it is in digital roam mode. I have no idea why it seems to be stuck in this mode. I have rebooted it several times and, each time, it always goes into digital roam mode.

After upgrading to 2.1, I had the Google navigate widget on my homescreen. It worked nicely and I used it a lot. I did a factory re-set to cure my Internet sharing problem (it worked) but now I cannot find the little blue triangle Google navigate icon anywhere. I can still get to Google navigate via Google maps, but would like my blue triangle widget back.

My eris was having issues (scrolling to the left by itself and not scrolling back, shutting off, force closing everything, etc) so i took it into verizon and even the guy working there got frustrated so he did a factory reset (i think thats what you call it) and once it was FINALLY done he came out and said that my phone still had its problems. Once I learned that verizon no longer has phones like the enV, voyager, etc i just left since mine could still answer phone calls and some stuff on a good day, or so i thought. Once i got home and looked at my phone and it was done loading I noticed there was a triangle above my service bars and my phone has no connection to anything except wi-fi even though it has 2 bars of service. Sorry i'm not very good at explaining, but any help is great. I just want to know how to be able to re-connect it so i can at least make calls or send texts.

My nexus one recently doesn't show the 3g icon next to the bars. I don't believe it lost the 3g signal, as I can see 3 bars in there and when I force 2G it goes to 4bars with the 'E' symbol. It just doesn't seem to get 3g data, i believe. I can call and text, but when I try to access the net it says site not found. Could somebody explain why this is? I have T-Mobile in midtown atlanta.

on the gsm hero, you can have a maximum of 4 bars of signal, where as on the sprint hero, you can have alot more, 8 i think, is there anyway to get more bars on the gsm hero, like 8 bars?

i have the widget set up to where it is a scroll box of all my friends and stuff but on one of my friends, it has an icon on the bottom right hand corner of her pic and i dont like it. i always clicked on her name instead of the pic but is there a way to get rid of the icon? i tried removing the widget and replacing and it is still there. i hit menu and hit widget action but all it gives me is send message, view contact, etc and i dont want it to do any of that becuase the little icon ruins the pic.

Im sure this is something simple Im missing, I recently swapped my moment for a new hero thru sprint. I love the phone and should have gotten it sooner. I installed a few apps I used before and love Hancent SMS. With the Moment when I opened the on screen keyboard there was an icon on the keyboard for TTS, on the Hero I dont see that. Am I missing something? Do I do it differently?

I use handcent, and that is my default messenger.Now, I have already turned off the notification for MMS/SMS in my sounds and notifications system settings, but it still pops up from the stock app.Why?I wouldn't mind it poping up, but when I click on it, it doesn't go away, I have to always use clear notifications, but anyways, yeah its turned off, and still doing it.

Trying to reboot into recovery, and I get up to the point of my screen going white, saying htc EVO, and instead of recovery, I get a black screen with a picture of an evo, and an red triangle with an exclamation mark? what does this mean?

I been searching to force my phone to roam since purchasing my EVO June 4th. I even returned a Hero at one point because it couldnt force roaming...At that time.(seen a hack recently) I did come across the this post by Technofile over in the XDA forum [6/16]*techknowfile's* - Hack the HTC EVO - 3G w/o Sprint EVDO coverage! - xda-developers
I tried this and although it DID allow me to roam on Verizons Network I still didnt have any bars at work, no triangle and the signal was still low. Ive only had my Hero for a week, however I've noticed that when I update an app, the icon is duplicated when I go to "All Programs." Its cluttering my Programs page because there's double of like 25% of my apps. The only way I've been able to fix this is to uninstall and then install it again. Is there any way to fix this??

When I rooted to 2.1 I had a microphone by the gear. I also notice a microphone on the Evo. I was having issues with Gmail and switched to the official RUU and now have no microphone icon. That is an amazing feature! So how do I get it back? Diff keyboard or a feature I am missing? It looks like I cannot root anymore (for a while at least). Anyways just having the microphone icon would suffice I don't have to root per se.

I did a search and nada. When I get a missed call I get the icon on the status bar. When I hit phone button it shows me who called me and return the call. However, the icon is still there. I have found that I have to go into the 'people' contact list and look the person up and then press the 'call history' in order for the icon to go away. Anyone know of an easier way?

I got my HTC Hero a couple of days ago. Configuration went fine and I really like the phone. But for some reason, when I click on the Mail icon, rather than giving me access to my Gmail inbox, it wants to configure a new Exchang Sync or other pop3/imap account. I configured my Gmail account when setting up the phone initially and have gone back to factory settings a couple of times, with no success. I know that my Gmail/gcalendar data are there. Currently, the only way to access my mail is via notifications (so only when I get new mail). Any suggestions for solving my problem.

I just rooted my Telus hero and flashed Villian 10.2 and now my low phone storage icon is on. this happend after I restored all of my apps. the icon was not there before I rooted. Is this a big problem? should I start putting things onto my SD card?

All of the sudden, im getting the low storage space icon above. This has happened 2 other times. I do a hard reset when that happens. I checked my phone this morning, I had 120 mb internal memory, and now im down to 2.26mb of memory. My phone gets warm, battery drains. Nothing is running! Has anybody seen or heard of this issue?
