i've noticed since the update this morning late last night that the LED notifications are now showing even when i'm charging my phone. you can choose amber or green LED blinks too.

when i get a msg it only shows the number and not the contacts name , how can i get it to show the name instead so i know who is texting me and not have to look at contacts to see who it is

What could sound off without actually showing you the notification ... I mostly only have notifications on for Gmail, Voicemail, GoSms. I have several other apps installed ( Foursquare, Facebook, and maybe a couple others ) that are capable of notifications, but their all turned off ... and even if they were sounding, wouldn't you think I would see something in the notification center dropdown?
I'd like to know if it's actually default google now behaviour or not. When ever weather cards / traffic updates show up, I only get to know about it if i pull down the notification panel. No icon (the car and the cloud) appears on the status bar. Is there any way to enable this? I notice it appearing only when I select it via the halo (Nexus 4 - ParanoidAndroid / CrDroid] Is it like this for everyone?

I'm looking for an app that would show the battery life remaining in my notification bar (similar to battery life remaining on mac computers), I've searched and searched and searched and cannot seem to find an app that does so. View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using our country local brand walton primo gh2 phone. In notification area i see "Downloading English (US) ", under it download paused. First three or four time i tapped and hold and its took me to Language and input option and shows me that update and every time it stacked on 64%. after that when i again i tapped and hold it shows just app info nothing else and i cant remove it from my notification area. Its very annoying to see and some file goes to queue under it too download never start and i have to restart downloads. I am using android 4.2.2.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed when I'm charging and using Google Nav in my car, sometimes I'll randomly get the green LED notification blinking in between the amber LED charging light, even when there's no new messages of any sort. Seems to go away once you unplug and plug it back in, but it's annoying since it gives a false positive for new notifications. I'm using the Rocketfish charger in case that makes any difference.

Handcent (the SMS app) gives you options to not only change the colour but also the frequency of LED flashes. I have set it up a few times but every time I get a text message, it is he usual green, slow flash - and even then it doesn't always work. Sometimes I look at my phone with no LED flashing at all, pick it up to do something else, then notice there is an unread text..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've contacted handcent directly and looked in their forum but it appears that they don't provide good service to customers - no replies! I didn't much like Handcent so I uninstalled it and no notification sounds happened when I received a message. I went back to the stock messaging app and reset the notification sound but it didn't work. Reinstalled Handcent and the sounds came back. Unistalled and no sounds again. I was on 2.1 when it started but I'm now on 2.2 and the same issue happened (no Handcent when it was upgraded to 2.2 in case you're wondering and it didn't fix the problem). Anyone know how to completely remove all traces of Handcent and reset/reconfigure/reinstall the stock messaging app.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just picked up an Eris after having the nearly identical Hero for about 3 weeks. On the Hero, there was a notification LED on the top of the phone. It blinked when I had new e-mail, texts, or voicemails. I see the Eris has a small LED light in the top right corner, but that seems to only light up when charging? Is that all that light does? Indicate when the phone is charging? I would think that would blink when notifications from SMS, calls or e-mail come in? Is it supposed to?

When I wake up in the morning, the phone is fully charged but I received a text message at 12:30 AM and my screen has been on ever since. Is there a setting that the screen turns off after a notification while charging?

Suddenly stopped working for no reason. I've changed nothing in the settings and everything in default settings aswell as Handcent settings show that the sound is being used....but when I 'Test Notification' in Handcent there is no sound.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI sent a mass text out today. people started responding. But I am left with 1 notification for an unread text. Well, I have read that text, but it won't clear. I deleted the specific text, it won't clear the 1 in my status bar. When I pull my status bar dropdown menu, it shows the text, so I click on it and handcent force closes. I deleted the entire thread from the person, still didn't clear. Powered down, still didn't clear. DELETED handcent and reinstalled, still didn't clear.
