View 8 Repliesis there a way to disable this charging notification feature? it wasn't a big deal in the beginning, but since i need to charge my phone constantly to last the entire day, it has become an issue. I know I can turn my notification off or change it to vibration but then I'll miss all my alerts and reminders from other apps. any apps out there can simply turn this feature off?
View 14 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have any way to turn off the annoying beep the phone makes when it loses it's signal? I know changing the notification volume works, but that will also turn off my system and text notifications. Is there any way to target just the signal beep?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo this has happened the pretty much every night Ive owned the Evo. I close out everything on the phone, put it on the charger and make sure the screen is off. When I wake up in the morning, the phone is fully charged but I received a text message at 12:30 AM and my screen has been on ever since. Is there a setting that the screen turns off after a notification while charging?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone knows how to turn on the charging notification light on the DX? I can't seem to find anyway to get it to work.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can I tell when the Moment is completely done charging? I use a wall charger. When I plug it in. The screen lights up. Phone charging. Seconds later. The screen goes blank.. I have to manually hit the volume key or end key to see the charge complete notification on the screen. I charge it for about 4 hours. Isnt it suppose to light up on its own with the charge complete? Do I have a defective MOMENT?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo my wife has a Samsung Fascinate no-rooted and running the official Gingerbread update for a while now. The issue started a few weeks ago. At night she turns the phone off, plugs it into the wall charger to charge overnight, and then the phone turns itself back on. The phone will not stay off while she is trying to charge it. She has had the phone for over a year and this just started happening recently.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOccasionally while charging my phone it will lock up. if the screen was on it will just stay there if its off it just wont respond. I have to take out the battery and then turn it on.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI set up the option to keep the display on while charging. That's before I realized what a drain the display is on the battery. Now that I want to turn it off, I can't find it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am on my second Moment because my first one failed the Sprint signal test But on that phone i had it set up so that when it was plugged in charging, the phones screen always stayed on. But I don't remember how I did that or what setting I went into. I also have Open Home installed and running on the first phone and now my new phone, i've searched through and through all setting for the phone itself and for Open Home and can not find how I changed it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBeen complaining about my moment something terrible. Went Friday spent the money and renewed my contract to get the EVO. The guy warned me about the battery on the Evo being bad. I didn't listen since my friend in work plays with his for 3 hours before getting a low battery. Got the Evo and charged it friday from 11am till 4pm. Light turned green full battery. Didn't mess with it much cause I got busy. Had 3 calls about 5 minutes each. Got on the internet for 10 minutes. Phone had gone down 1 bar at 8pm and didn't use it after that. Went to work at midnight to work overtime to pay for the phone, pulled it out at 2am "RECHARGE BATTERY". Ok, charged the battery from 2am till 5:30am. "full charge". Played with the phone about 10 minutes setting it up, made a 10 minute call, 8am when I got home played with it for 5 minutes. Took a nap, woke up at 1pm, RECHARGE BATTERY. Ok, charged it from 1am till 6pm. Green light, battery charged. Made 3 calls, looked on facebook for 10 minutes, sent 5 text messages, went down 1 bar. From 8pm till 3am I slept. Woke up at 3am, grabbed the phone, it was turned off. Turned it back on, powered up, "RECHARGE BATTERY", phone shut back off. THIS IS RIDICULOUS WITH THESE PHONE BATTERY.......
View 10 Replies View RelatedEvery time I put it on a charger (USB or Wall), it charges and when it's done, the phone awakes and stays on. So if I don't manually put it back into sleep mode, it will sit there all lit up and drain my battery.
View 5 Replies View RelatedProblem is that both charging port and battery and malfunctioning. My charger port has a mind of its own. Only certain chargers positioned in certain ways will charge it. I'm talking about brand new charge cords (no shorts in cord itself) that when plugged in will over work if I play with the port for awhile. Along with the problems actually getting the charging port to work, there is also problems with the battery. The battery has a terrible life using all of the battery conserving settings it drains like crazy. And along with that when I charge my phone with it off it will tell me fully charged many times but when I turn the device on I'm in the RED.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that since updating to CL14 my screen will stay on after the phone is done charging. So I will put it on the charger when I go to bed and every time when I wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night the screen is on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving a strange issue that after searching for a few days I dont see anyone else having it.Every once in a while the 3 led's will not turn off. The home, menu and back lights. Then when the phone tries to go to sleep it automatically wakes back up and gets stuck in a sleep/wakeup loop. Sometimes unlocking it and hitting menu twice resolves it but other times I have to restart the phone. Im thinking either pandahome or handcent are causing it but Ive got a few friends running the same phone and those apps that arent having issues. If anyone else is having this happen please let me know.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIt wasn't long so I never paid attention before, but since the upgrade to 2.1 it takes my Moment around 2mins and 50secs to turn on (from black samsung logo to home screen) and about 50 secs before gps and everything is loaded up and ready to use. I timed it to find out if this was normal.
How long does it take your Moment to power on and load up?

View 3 Replies View RelatedTh manual says that the red button can be used to "turn the device on or off, end a call, or turn off the LCD". Maybe I'm just missing something, but I don't see any options for tuning off the LCD! I really hate sticking my phone in my pocket with the home screen active. You never know who your going to call.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just traded my Palm Pre for a Samsung Moment today (made the deal off of Craigs List). The phone worked great all afternoon after I got it but 30 minutes ago I pulled it out to enter something into my calendar and it was off. I tried to turn it on but it seems dead. The battery has at least 40% remaining last time I looked and it is charging right now just in case. Anybody else have this happen? Is there some special way to turn this on that I don't know about? I held down the hang up button to turn it on and it is not working.Any ideas? (The Sprint rep at the store where I swapped with the other person said the warranty sticks to where ever the ESID is active - meaning on my account so I do have the warranty for it).
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to turn on the 802.11 wireless, while keeping the phone radio turned off?
I was recently on an airplane that had WiFi wireless connectivity (Delta using GoGo). I had my Moment and wanted to try it out. The problem is that the only way I could find to turn off the cell radio, as required by the FAA, is by putting the phone into "Airplane Mode". But, in Airplane mode, I could not get the WiFi to turn on.
So, what I really wanted was not "Airplane mode" but WiFi on and Cell Radio turned off. But I could not figure out any way to do that. Is it possible?
So I took my phone to the local store today to be updated and they failed. They bricked my phone plus apparently 2 others before they gave up. They gave me a new moment plus a $50 credit, but I have a question about this new phone. When waking my old phone, I only had to press menu to unlock it. This new phone has an iPhone style "slide to unlock" feature that I don't like. This is the way the phone came. Before I even set it up, so its not an app. Does anyone have any idea how to turn it off? I know the old screen is still there because if the slide screen lags at all before taking me to my home screen I briefly see it. Is this a function of the newer moments?

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Hard reset? I took the battery out and turned the phone back on. Now I have a black screen with an icon of a phone...triangular, yellow error symbol...image of a computer. I took the battery out, held the down volume button, camera button, and power button. Now I'm back to the "DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET" screen.
