I saw a few similar threads but no answered my question. Is there an app that will show me how many gmail emails I have in my status bar. I know there are ones for a widget but I'm looking more for the status bar as opposed to a widget.

So this thing just started within the past week. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

I understand it can't do it for month view. It does it in the "day" view (when not in list) but I was curious if there was a better calendar app out on the market that did this?

I really don't want to have to link it all again if I lose my phone or need to do a factory reset. Is there some way of exporting all the data now? I tried exporting to SD card and then adding to Gmail contacts and this didn't copy across facebook photos.

For example, if I receive one email and pull down the notification bar it will show the sender and the subject, however, if I have more than one email waiting it will just show my account name and the number of emails.
Is it normal for the Gmail last account activity to show an IP form a state that is a few hundred miles from me? Should I be worried or is it completely normal for my IP to bounce from different towers like that? It has always originated from my home state, yesterday was the only time I ever noticed I was using an IP from another state.

It has all the info I want in it (I just added my address).When I go to my droid and find myself in the contact list, I see several sections that begin with "from blah@gmail.com" where it's my email address.Why isn't it only one big section instead of looking like it found my contact info multiple times in my gmail account requiring multiple sub-sections? How come I don't see my address in any of these sub-sections?

Plus, it has has multi-account support and custom options regarding LED color, vibration length, etc. And it does not run in the background, so no decreased battery life, etc.The original version did not have support for multiple accounts, but I sent a quick email to the Dev and he fixed it in the new update that came today!I'm using it in conjunction with Gmail Unread Count widgets, and finally the email on my Droid is up to par with (well, actually better than) my old blackberry!
i've noticed since the update this morning late last night that the LED notifications are now showing even when i'm charging my phone. you can choose amber or green LED blinks too.

Since there's no way to search unread messages how can I find the email that the phone thinks is unread since all the emails in my inbox are read?

Is this how its supposed to be? (Not complaining!) I've only done some basic testing - but it seems really fast pickup! I thought Blackberry had a patent or something that stopped other mobile companies giving *instant* email notifications?
There is some app( presumebly ) that is sounding my default notification sound at ( seemingly ) random intervals, however no app shows up in the notification center. How to track down what app, or what notification is doing this.
What could sound off without actually showing you the notification ... I mostly only have notifications on for Gmail, Voicemail, GoSms. I have several other apps installed ( Foursquare, Facebook, and maybe a couple others ) that are capable of notifications, but their all turned off ... and even if they were sounding, wouldn't you think I would see something in the notification center dropdown?
I'd like to know if it's actually default google now behaviour or not. When ever weather cards / traffic updates show up, I only get to know about it if i pull down the notification panel. No icon (the car and the cloud) appears on the status bar. Is there any way to enable this? I notice it appearing only when I select it via the halo (Nexus 4 - ParanoidAndroid / CrDroid] Is it like this for everyone?

I had a very very very vitally important email sent to me yesterday, and after viewing it, it just vanished. Gone for good. I can't find it. I've checked every folder, I've checked All Mail, I've checked trash, I've checked spam, drafts, everywhere. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had an email vanish in the past 3 months. Completely gone, as if it never existed, without me deleting it.Has anyone else experienced this with Gmail? This morning I went through all the emails on my Eris and deleted them but when I logged in to my PC they were all in the trash.

I have added Gmail as may Mail program and it all works fine from the Desire but when i log into Gmail via the web on my PC I have duplicate emails for any I sent via the phone. I checked with a few people and they didn't actually receive 2 emails so now I am a bit confused as to why I get 2 in my inbox. I have a feeling it might be to do with Imap but if anyone has sorted this out?
SItuation: I'm at work, sitting at my desk when an email arrives in my gmail account. My nexus one buzzes and the trackball glows with a notification. At the same time, my google talk client notifies me that I have a new gmail message, so I figure the phone notification is for that email. I check the email via gmail on my desktop and I now have no new emails, but the notification on my phone remains. Is there anyway to have this notification disappear once I've checked the email anywhere except the android gmail application? I have the same problem with my work email with the email client, too, and it's a little annoying.

I have entered my account details, I can send emails but I don't get a notification when I receive an email to my Gmail Inbox. I have checked the settings and I have setup a ringtone and selected the option to flag up an icon in the notification bar. However the only way I know I have an email is if I open the app. I have a task manager and Gmail is on the ignore list.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using our country local brand walton primo gh2 phone. In notification area i see "Downloading English (US) ", under it download paused. First three or four time i tapped and hold and its took me to Language and input option and shows me that update and every time it stacked on 64%. after that when i again i tapped and hold it shows just app info nothing else and i cant remove it from my notification area. Its very annoying to see and some file goes to queue under it too download never start and i have to restart downloads. I am using android 4.2.2.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy husband and i just got Droid X's. We have a business with a website and associated webmail. Our email address is an IMAP account created by our website developer. After trying to configure the embedded mail program, we installed K9 based on a lot of good reviews on this site. We've got it working, the only issue is we can't seem to get it to automatically notify us when a new email comes in as the phone does with Gmail. The notification doesn't come in at all - you have to go into K9 and "Get Mail". We have it set to sync all folders.
