I was having issues with my Inc. after the 2.2 OTA so I did a factory reset which seems to have resolved a lot of the glitchyness, BUT, now when I charge the phone after a while the notification LED starts to flash and as it does this it alternates between amber and green and doesn't stop until I unplug the charger...

Anyone unless notice the LED blinking stops after a little while...My Wife's Moto Droid keeps blinking until you check the alert.

I hadn't been able to charge my EVO for a little while, and just a little while ago it finally gave up the ghost. I booted back up to recovery after it shut down, where it told me I needed to change the battery.
Well, that's great! Except, it wouldn't let me shut the phone off! It sat there for a few minutes, not responding to my trying to turn the phone off, until, it seems, it completely ran out of power. I have the seidio 3500mah battery, and the cover is a royal pain to remove (usually requiring a butter knife to pry the sucker out of it's death grip!).
Now when I got back to my desk at work, I plugged it in to USB, and the charging light is just blinking amber at me, and it won't turn on yet. Does this sound like it's not charging, or just needs to charge itself up a bit before it will let me turn it back on?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf i have a new email or text and i turn off the phone, the led still blinks . and half the time when it happens the phone wont turn back on. i returned one when i noticed it . now my new one does it to. i noticed this at work. i am not suppost to have my cell on the floor. (leave my evo unattended, shiat) so i forgot to put it on vibrate and it rang so i pulled it out declined the call and turned it off.

But this time when I came back to it a few hours later the LED was blinking green>orange>green>orange>green>orange
What does that mean? I even looked through the Hero user manual...

I rooted today, didn't install a ROM yet but went ahead and put P3Droids low voltage 1000 kernel on my droid to see what it was like and wow! If I thought my droid was fast then but I've got one question, my notification led is blinking green now when its in standby, normal?

And when i close the phone, like lock it .. the Led keeps blinking green ? HOWEVER.. if I don't notice it.. it seems after a few minutes the LED stop blinking green. I often leave my phone on my night stand.. step out of the room for awhile.. come back.. look at the phone and the LED is not blinking.. but when I wake up the phone I show a missed call, new email, new text, etc. Is this how it is supposed to work? should the green LED keep flashing until I check the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI only noticed this after I installed the 2.2 update. Now, sometimes when I plug the charger in, the LED blinks amber. It is not just the LED blinking, it is blinking because it charges for a second, then stops, then charges, etc. It does this with the OEM AC charger, and any other charger I use, however, it does not do it all the time, it seems random. When it is doing this, it doesn't actually charge. I turn the phone off, plug the charger in, it's fine, turn the phone back on, still fine. It's somewhat annoying. Anyone experience this or know what's going on? It's definitely not an overheated battery.

I did a factory reset yesterday, got everything up and running, now the only thing I can't remember is how to turn off the LED notifications for the default mail app and for the gmail app. The option isn't under the program's menu/settings screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed when I'm charging and using Google Nav in my car, sometimes I'll randomly get the green LED notification blinking in between the amber LED charging light, even when there's no new messages of any sort. Seems to go away once you unplug and plug it back in, but it's annoying since it gives a false positive for new notifications. I'm using the Rocketfish charger in case that makes any difference.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just picked up an Eris after having the nearly identical Hero for about 3 weeks. On the Hero, there was a notification LED on the top of the phone. It blinked when I had new e-mail, texts, or voicemails. I see the Eris has a small LED light in the top right corner, but that seems to only light up when charging? Is that all that light does? Indicate when the phone is charging? I would think that would blink when notifications from SMS, calls or e-mail come in? Is it supposed to?

When I wake up in the morning, the phone is fully charged but I received a text message at 12:30 AM and my screen has been on ever since. When I slide the notification bar down to reveal the nofications and click on an item, the notification screen doesn't hide back to the top of my phone -- it just stays open. I either have to hide it manually or I have to hit the back button, which sometimes exits the app I was trying to open. 2.1 never did this for me, it always hid when choosing an item. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done a factory reset after 2.2 btw. I've also searched support to see if there was a similar problem, no similar threads.

Since the last time, I have a voicemail icon in my notification bar, clicking on it tells me to call my GV number to hear 3 messages. I cleared the messages in the GV app,but the notification wont go away. It has no Clear button to dismiss. I've rebooted the phone, tried calling the number, but have not yet tried throwing it against the wall. That's next. Any ideas to help calm my OCD by dismissing this notification are appreciated.Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
