I'm able to receive my Gmail with the built in Gmail client, but not able to send any. The email just sits in my Outbox in "Sending" status. I've tried waiting, but it never goes through. I eventually go and delete this "Sending" email from the Outbox. However, I'm able to send/receive with the regular Email client that's set up to my work's Exchange server.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the Droid on the day it came out, set up my email account that I have at GoDaddy.com with IMAP, and now on my GoDaddy webmail there is a new folder that has been created called "Sent." This is in addition to the folder that is called "Sent Items" that is already there by default. My problem, in addition to the new "Sent" folder, is this Every time I send an email from my phone, the message goes to the recipient just fine, but in the new "Sent" folder, the message gets duplicated many times. There can be anywhere from a single duplicate, to many, many more...so much so that my "Sent" folder over the course of a week, will contain upwards of 20,000 sent messages. The messages seem to continue duplicating also - there will be 3 duplicates for example, then an hour later there will be 9. This is madness!I have another email account (not godaddy) that I also have set up with IMAP and it has NO problems at all.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my droid X for about 3 weeks now. I want to learn though, and i figure this is a good place to do it. I love my phone. but it confuses me. And Ive had some issues that Ive seen a lot of other people have had since i updated to froyo. My biggest issues are my gmail dosen't seem to be getting new emails to my phone, the text messages being all goofy, and I don't really like the way the screen will rotate to view the other landscape way. I've seen people talk about doing a factory reset. What exactly does that do? And will i lose my contacts and such? Also, what does it mean to root a phone? I looked around but couldn't seem to find any answers.

When i go to delete emails in my gmail inbox on my phone they delete off the phone, but not in my actual gmail inbox online. Because when i delete the emails off my phone the inbox counter still reads all those emails that are still there. Well when i go online to delete them it goes back to normal. How can i fix this to where i dont have to keep goin online to delete emails?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI installed Petes Bugless rom and It was a little too buggy for me so I went back to my nandroid backup. Everything is fine except for my Gmail will not send an email. It will receive just fine but will not send. It just says sending... I have tried to send myself emails to my other accounts and receive nothing. I can send email with my .Mac email on my Droid though. I tried to delete my account and re-install and it won't let me because its my main one. It says I have to wipe my data first and I really don't want to do that.

My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a Sprint Hero and when I try to send a 1MB photo, it basically freezes up my Gmail on my smartphone. Is that normal? I've tried to do it a few times, but it just says "sending" for longer than 10 minutes. It even sort of crashes my phone by hogging all the data and not letting me surf the internet or sync with Remember the Milk and other data reliant apps.I hate this Sprint Hero, by the way (unrooted, running OS 2.1). It's a genuine POS.It's so laggy (takes literally 10 F'n seconds to call someone after I dial the number).I've honestly almost smashed it on the ground twice it's so laggy.When I'm in a hurry, I can't stand it's lagginess.It's amazing to me this phone was released to the public with such an egregious lag time on almost everything I do (most noticeably the phone, which is simple compared to other apps).

If I click on it, it takes me to the edit email account screen. When I go through the steps it says authentication failed even though my gmail account is fine. I don't know how to fix this. Receiving works great, but when I tell the phone to send an email such as a picture from the internet while in the browser, it makes me choose between Exchange or a POP account. How can I get it so it uses gmail instead? I tried adding my GMail account as a POP 3 and sending the emails, but I'm not receiving any of them.
BTW, after conditioning my battery for 3 days, I'm currently at 6 hours of awake time and 24 hours of up time, and the sucker still won't die, lol.
I have my personal email set up (not gmail) in K-9. I can receive email but cannot send it. The error I get is: "553 Sorry, your HELO host name has been denied. (#5.7.1)". I know my settings are correct for the outgoing server.

I sent an email with an attachment today and it never got sent, it is still in the outbox folder. So as a test just now, I sent myself 2 emails (one with an attachment, one without) and only one of the two went through (the one without attachment).
