I want to put ringtones on my phone but I am not sure where to put them. On my SD card I made a directory media/audio/ringtones. when I tried to set a custom ringtone for a contact it didn't list the ones I put on the card. I also tried (With Astro) to place them in the same directory on the phones storage and it wouldn't let me paste to the directory. Are all ringers and notification sounds in mp3 format?

I've been having issues with my downloaded ringtones through Zedge not playing after I've set them as my ringtone... also, when my phone rings, I have the number as a contact in my phonebook but it won't show on caller ID. In other words, it will show the number, but not who the number belongs to.
I think my SD card is giving me problems... every once in a while it will say I have no space on the SD Card (It also says I have like 7gb left open when I pull it up online), and won't let me save videos or pictures I'm taking.
Anybody got a place to get free ringtones? I was using funformobile.com but it won't open up on my dinc

View 12 Replies View RelatedI noticed this morning that my alarm didn't make a sound when it went off this morning. Fortunately it was set to vibrate and I heard that. I than noticed it didn't ring when I received a call. I had my GF send me a txt and no sound with that either. When I go into setting to change my ringtone none of them play. The volume button beeps when I hit it and I other apps that play sounds are working fine.

The only problem is that it seems like every time I turn my phone off, and then back on, the ringtones are gone. The full length songs are still they because they are on my sd card, but the trimmed version is gone and I have to recut it. View 26 Replies View RelatedThe reason I KNOW its not me changing these ringtones in all of the assignable designations for media files to be played for the ringtones and such is that I have not a single of my music files within any of these settings as an option to assign in the first place. They are showing up randomly. This morning I awoke to Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin, and earlier today a friend called my whose ringtone was changed to 99 Red Balloons.
Let me reitterate; I have never assingned a music track as a ringtone, alarm, or notification. The previous ringtone still exists in my library and is functional IE; i can reassign the same ringtone to a person again. I THINK that only ringtones which are NOT DEFAULT are changing. I do have an abundance of navigation (gps, turn by turn, ect), some news, a widget for quick settings (wifi, bluetooth, ringer on/off, gps), Music (shazam, pandora tunee music, The house FM christian radio) Astro file manager, Emulators, facebook integration.I have noticed some coming on by themselves. Ill try to note when I have done nothing to activate them.
I am enjoying my new phone but having trouble finding apps with up to date mp3 music/ringtones on and could someone explain how i save mp3 tracks/ringtones to my memory card.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have looked around for a fix but haven't found any yet.When I create trimmed ringtones via the htc trimmer and assign them to a contact, they will work fine until I reboot the phone. I tried some fixes like moving the ringtones to the SD card and that has allowed the phone to find them upon reboot but it will not put the tones back with the contacts. Is there a way to permanently stick the ringtone to the contact so they don't un-link after a reboot?
