I have been able to pair my Droid Eris with my Acura TL, but I am unable to download my phonebook or connect to Acuralink. Anyone have any experience with this and found a way to make it happen?

I tried searching, but was unsucessful in finding an answer. My Eris, and now the replacement Eris sent by Verizon, will not connect to our Panasonic KX-TH1212 home phone system. It worked fine before the upgrade to 2.1 and my wife's Droid still works fine with it.The Eris will pair with the KX-TH1212, but will not connect; I've tried it multiple times with both Eris phones.The KX-TH1212 requires a passcode (0000) to pair. After failing to connect, the Eris only provides one option (unpair) in the long press menu.The Droid has three options (connect, unpair, and don't remember this one).I would appreciate any help or similar experiences to fix this issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know wi-fi has been mentioned but no one seems to really know. Is there anyone out there who knows why I cannot connect to my wi-fi at home? I have a mac address filter on my router and I put in the correct mac address of my Eris more than once as well and the security settings. I was able to connect my Nintendo DSi with no problem. So when I set up my wi-fi connection, it says it's not in range but remembered. At my job I was able to connect to the wi-fi with no problem. Could it be something with my router? Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or clues.

When someone sends me a pic I get an alert that it was not able to be downloaded, to retry, and then it doesn't work again. Sometimes it will push through a non received picture message from weeks ago and sometimes I just wont get any notification at all. Does Update fix the non dowloadable MMS?
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since flashing the 2.1 leaks (V1 and then V2), I have not been able to connect to my university's WPA2-enterprise wireless network. After I enter my login info (the network uses PEAP with MSCHAPv2, so it doesn't need any certificates), the phone connects as expected and gets a valid IP address, verifiable with netcfg. Before any traffic is allowed to pass to the outside world, however, the device connecting has to go to an authentication page in a browser. When I attempt to go to that page, I get an error titled "Data Connectivity Problem" that states "A secure connection could not be established" which only presents an option to acknowledge the error.
Since I can't load that authentication page, the network is entirely unusable. I did not encounter this problem with 1.5, but since I'm running the V2 leak, reverting is not an option.Has anyone else seen this type of behavior? I can't identify if the problem is in the actual link not being established properly (seems unlikely, as the phone is given an IP address, but perhaps the PEAP layer is having some sort of issue?) or if it has to do with the SSL certificates used for the network authentication page (they're signed, but I'm fairly certain that the name if the site they're signed for is not the name that they've given the new auth server).
Why can't I get Evo and Itouch to pair and connect. Both are showing up on each others devices but no where does it say for them to connect. How do I do this?

I was trying to connect to co-worker's BB and wasn't able to. All it would say is Paired, not connected. So, I tried pairing to a co-workers Incredible and all it said is Paired, not connected. We tried pushing files anyways and it failed.

I took it to the Verizon store yesterday and they told me that it is a known issue with the phone, and they are working on corrective software to solve the problem. Anyone else have the same issue ? Now I'm getting a message on my PC saying the USB Device is not recognized. I did most of the suggestions in the battery fix threads, and I managed to only drop to about 60% battery after 24 hours, even with decent usage. The problem that I discovered today was that I seem to be unable to pair to any Bluetooth devices after turning the radio back on (first time trying to pair). When I turn everything on, I simply can't see anything when I search for devices. I put the earpiece that I'm trying to link to in discovery mode, and the phone never sees it. Neither does it see the printer Bluetooth interface or the PC Bluetooth. The printer, at least, should be always discoverable.Finally, I tried linking to my wife's phone, and it could neither see her phone when I set it to discoverable, nor could her phone see mine when I made it discoverable.It looks to me as if my Bluetooth radio is completely non-functional, but does anyone know if there may be something simple that I'm missing? A hidden setting or a Bluetooth diagnostic test that I could run (loopback or other)? Does anyone know if the Bluetooth module is integrated on the main PCA or is a add-on module that might be disconnected?

Before I rooted my phone I was able to connect to my PC, then, a few months later I couldn't. This was all before I rooted my phone. Then I rooted it on my parents computer and put kaos on it, and it started to work for a day then quit the next time I connected it to their computer. It even connected to my computer. I have no "connect PC" option in my settings. No USB notification in my notifications on my phone and PC says USB device not recognize. All my USBs are good bcuz my keyboard and mouse work fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm just hoping someone out there with a new Mazda has been able to sync their phonebook with the Navigation/Bluetooth system while running 2.1. The import phonebook feature doesn't work with my Eris running stock 1.5 even though the Mazda website lists the Eris as a fully supported device.
All other bluetooth functionality works great, although I haven't tried listening to bluetooth audio on it yet. I use my ipod for audio in the car so AD2P isn't all that important to me.
The 2010 Mazda 6 GT is the new car I'm trying this in, but I assume all the newer Mazda navigation systems are the same.
Way back when I had a LG dare and I used BitPim to transfer my phone book and contacts over and it was simple (even with bluetooth) without using a Google account. So what I am asking is this possible to use BitPim v.1.07?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't keep my wifi connected on my Droidx. Scanning connecting connected then a few seconds later the wifi icon disappears and it repeats the process seemingly forever. I've discovered that if I use the wps push button method to connect it was stay connected until the wifi goes to sleep when I tries to reconnect I get the scanning connecting connected loop. I've tried different settings in my router (wpa/wpa2 just wpa, just wpa2, tkip, aes) I refuse to go below wpa encryption. My current settings WPA2 AES. I'm running a Linksys WRT400N dual-band router latest firmware, 2.4ghz mode set to mixed b,g,n. Oddly enough, during the time it took my to write this it connected itself and it seems stable now (at least until I let it idle). Phone probably knew I was on here complaining about it but any help you can give me to obtain a wifi connection better without having to spend 15mins each time trying to get it to connect would be great.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to pair the incredible to my car's bluetooth. I've had no problems with my previous two phones and I was able to connect my bluetooth headset to the incredible.
Has anyone with a TL (or other Acura) successfully paired the incredible with their car? Any ideas on how I can get this thing to work besides getting a new car/phone?
Update: Thank you everyone for the advice and support. I got it to work. Apparently the phone thought it was paired to the car. So once I unpaired it, everything worked. I have more details about it in a post further down this thread.
On the droid x I'm trying to down load a apk file and I also checked off accepting unknown files but when I download the apk it says can't download to this device

Then, I accidently bump the channel up button on my stearing wheel... and my mind exploded.
The channel up button on my wheel told Pandora to go to the next song!

Maybe I'm late, but I just discovered that the dolphin browser is able to download you tube vidz to your SD. Even if you use the default browser, just having dolphin browser installed should enable it. Try it below (also works by going to you tube.com).
