So i was looking for a pair of head set for my HTC Eris. I liked Apple's headsets for their iPhones. Would these pair work with the Eris? Has anyone tried? Ipod Iphone 3G 3GS MP3 Earphone Earbud Headphone w/ mic - eBay (item 180458677608 end time Feb-18-10 08:23:40 PST).

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I have a pioneer head unit that has a USB connection. I connected my friends G1 before I bought this phone to make sure it is compatible and his phone worked perfectly. I bought th Captivate (which I love) and when I hook it up to the USB nothing happens. It gives me the USB connection screen on my phone but nothing happens on the head unit side.
Do I need a driver like I did for the computer? If so, what driver would work with a pioneer head unit?
I have been able to pair my Droid Eris with my Acura TL, but I am unable to download my phonebook or connect to Acuralink. Anyone have any experience with this and found a way to make it happen?

I heard that there were issues with several gvoice updates, so I haven't updated google voice since 0.2.8 and it is working just fine- every call connects, no problems. Is it worth updating to the newest version of google voice with push? For those of you with 2.1 on your Eris- does google voice work for you?

I can't believe for a top of the line item like this that it can;t pair to at least two headsets for audio playback.
Assuming the "Better Terminal Emulator" selling for $3.99 in the marketplace works, are there any other terminal apps that work with the Eris that people are using? I tried the free "Terminal Emulator" but it appears a virtual keyboard does not work.

It simply will not pair.
I removed the old Samsung device, rebooted the computer and the DROID - no go. I even added the Alias back to the computer and they paired perfectly fine. Therefore, the dongle (since it is a mini dongle, do I call it a dingle?) the computer and my BT stack on my computer are working perfectly fine. This is the same computer that I have been using with my Alias to sync with BitPIM, and I have been using BitPIM since I got the alias roughly 2 years ago (yeah, I have every text message ever sent and received on that phone in BitPIM....)
I simply cannot understand why the DROID will not pair. I get an invalid pass key or PIN error if I try to sync from the DROID side and the operation failed if I try to sync from Windows.
Ever weirder, I can pair the Alias to the DROID - although they won't connect, I get through the pairing process perfectly fine, with the Alias prompting me to enter a PIN, and then the DROID prompting me to re-enter the PIN. I then tried it from the DROID side and it sees the Alias there but will not attempt to connect to it after pairing.
Why is the pairing process mucking up in Windows?
I cant play any videos on youtube from my eris. i heard that this is widespread. does the 2.1 fix this?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI recently activated my old Blackberry Curve because of my frustration with certain features on my Eris. I thought that I would still be able to browse the Internet on my Eris using wifi only but it's not really working. The reason I say "not really" is because I can do a Google search and look at Google News, etc, but I can't really go anywhere else. If I click on a link, or select one of my bookmarks, it just sits there and eventually times out. Does anyone understand why this won't work? When my Eris was activated, I could use wifi in areas where I had no cell coverage. I may reactivate my Eris soon.... I do miss the fun of it. Also the call quality is somewhat better than my Curve - although the Curve gets better reception in marginal signal areas. Love my Curve for push email and the real keyboard. When it's time for an upgrade, I am going to have a hard time deciding whether to go with the latest Blackberry or Android phone. If they come out with a top of the line android phone with a good physical keyboard (not like the Droid's) I will be very tempted.

I was just looking at a newly released video of the Nexus One and I wondered if the ERis gets updated to 2.1 would it be able to handle the movement of the background images. I noticed with Beautiful Widgets, before it was laid to rest, that if you clicked on the weather when it was cloudy you could see the clouds moving in the background. But will the constant moving images on 2.1 slow up the processor on the Eris.

Here is the spec's include a 3.5-inch WVGA display, 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 3.2 MP camera with 30fps video record/playback, and Android 1.6. So this is great news for us that already have the Eris on Cricket because now there will be a way to fix the mms problem and the broadband work around. As soon as they release this phone I will be digging in to fix these problem that we all have right now I hope that they go with a mobile IP lets all keep our fingers crossed.

There are some people with multiple stock 1.5 unmodified Eris's in the SAME household on the same vzw account where only one eris has received the update while the other one still awaits why? In what sort of communication and what software is in control of this, what decides what phone gets it and what phone has to wait longer till it receives it? I have my Eris activated on All tel, I changed the PRL to my local all tel's PRL, changed the 3g login info to All tel... Been like that since the end of December, I received an OTA update for 1.5 way back when even with my phone activated on all tel, does that mean it is GOOGLE doing the OTA control or is it verizon?... Very strange if you ask me.

Nothing wrong there.So, I went to go use the camera last night -both the camcorder and the normal camera- and... All I got was a black screen. I couldn't bring up a menu or anything. It was just black. The only way to do anything was to close it out by going back to the home screen. Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi bought head phones (( gold tips )) and a 3.5 male to male stereo audio cable (( non gold tips )) to play my muisc player on a big stereo.So heres the problem when i first plugged it in my music would glitch , a head set icon came up not the head phone then the pic of the album cover would flip 6 times then jump the play list all the way to the end but the playlist wasnt ON random that sh*t broke my heart.Y my EVO ? anyway i called sprint and there advanced tect lol basiclly told me 2 take the batt out wait 3 min then put it back, so then i hooked it back up and it worked 4 a few minutes then started jumpin again.so sick to my stomach i just started pluggin it in and out (( slowly )) until the head phone icon came up and it would play PERFECT> oh and my gold tip head phone work great from the start.

None of those suggestions made a difference.So to test I sent myself an email and had the GMAIL app open on the ERIS.It sometimes give me a conversation notice but does not actually download the email to the app for a long time. And then only if I force a refresh.I have full 3G where I am so that can't be it. Also, I do no have a task killer and I keep mobile on all the time.The ERIS doeseverything else very well with the exception of e-mail.
