HTC Incredible :: Bluetooth - Acura TSX 2010 - Pandora
May 13, 2010
I have a 2010 Acura TSX. I hook up my bluetooth to my new Incredible. I then change my radio to the Bluetooth Audio setting. I can hear Pandora play in my car. (wireless) Pretty cool hu?
Then, I accidently bump the channel up button on my stearing wheel... and my mind exploded.
The channel up button on my wheel told Pandora to go to the next song!
This phone rocks!

I have been researching for some time now, but have yet to come up with an actual fix. I have my Incredible paired with my Altima and can make calls via Bluetooth with no problem. My question is, how can I wirelessly stream music or Pandora from my phone to my car (Altima does not have an aux jack). I know my car is capable because I was able to do this with my old Blackberry (exactly how I don't remember, it was an intricate process of pressing random buttons).

I can't seem to pair the incredible to my car's bluetooth. I've had no problems with my previous two phones and I was able to connect my bluetooth headset to the incredible.
Has anyone with a TL (or other Acura) successfully paired the incredible with their car? Any ideas on how I can get this thing to work besides getting a new car/phone?
Update: Thank you everyone for the advice and support. I got it to work. Apparently the phone thought it was paired to the car. So once I unpaired it, everything worked. I have more details about it in a post further down this thread.

I have not been able to connect my phone to my Mazda 3.I have been following this thread:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4954902
but it doesn't look like there is an answer yet (except maybe rooting the phone, but since I don't even understand what rooting is, that doesn't help).Just wondered if anyone on this forum has the problem or knows how to solve it?

I did a search and it looks like some others had problems with this as well.I am new to the Droid world (tried Blackberry but hated it) and I really like the phone overall, minus a few software bugs. Anyway, my question is how do I set up the phone to play in the car?I have bluetooth on my car and it works for phone calls (it drops every now and then) but I can't get the audio to work.My bluetooth manual for my Volkswagon says the phone needs to be turned onto headset mode? How do I do this and are there any other suggestions to try?I also have a Aux hookup and an Ipod connection. However, I really wanted to use the bluetooth if possible.I haven't tried the Aux hook up yet either.

My husband and I both just got Epic 4G's, and neither one of them will stream Pandora via bluetooth to my Sony XPlod car stereo correctly. Both of them experience major dropouts in the sound. Streaming songs loaded onto the SD card via bluetooth works fine, and streaming pandora via a cable out the headset jack on the phone to the aux in of the stereo works fine as well. So the problem only happens when Pandora specifically tries to stream over the bluetooth. (I am using a Sony XPlod car stereo).

I have a 2010 Mazda 3 w/ Bluetooth and an auxillary output--I have had no problems w/ the Bluetooth as far as receiving and making phone calls and I play my iPod thru the auxillary system all the time...I just got the Droid 2 weeks ago and downloaded Pandora this past weekend--I can't get it to play thru the Bluetooth (even though the little music symbol shows that it is paired) and I can't play it thru my Droid hooked up thru the auxillary system either.

I am currently having some problems controlling the audio on my phone via bluetooth in my car.
When I press the button for the next track on Pandora, that would automatically activate the Android Music Player and play whatever I have stored on the SD card. Ultimately, what I have is 2 sources of music playing at the same time.
Only way to fix it is to get rid of the SD card. OR I can switch tracks using the phone itself.
I realize that this problem isn't limited to the Droid X. I've read about this happening on the Incredible as well.
Anyone know whether a patch (or Froyo can fix this)?

Has anyone downloaded the app MLB.com At Bat 2010? If so, how does it work for you? I've heard that the audio cuts out quite a bit, and I'm just wondering if this is a real issue.

Well we just migrated our Exchange server from 2007 to 2010 and I cannot for the life of me get the Incredible to sync up to it.. I can enter all the info and it works (verifies account), but always "Fails to create account"... If anyone has insight, would be greatly appreciated! I can make whatever tweaks needed as I have full access to the phone and server.. It was working perfect on 2007

Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.

I have the HTD Droid incredible. Whenever i plug my phone into my car (which is a lexus is 250 2008) through the auxiliary jack, voice dial comes on and starts going crazy when i start up Pandora. It will start skipping tracks and sometimes calling the last person on my redial list. It also does this with slacker. I tried going to manage apps and turning off voice dial and it still comes back on. I didn't have this issue in my friends car and a verizon tech told me that maybe my car is trying to read my phone when i hook it up through the jack. I want to know if anybody else had this issue and if so what is the solution.

For those of you using Pandora have you experienced an issue that after two to three songs Pandora just stops playing as long as your phone is stationary. If you have a phone and use Pandora can you do a test that you turn up Pandora put it down on the table and let it play for at least three songs and let me know if you have an issue. Now it needs to be on the network and not WIFI and the phone MUST be stationary.

Is it normal for Pandora to not go to the next song until I turn on my Dinc screen? (my screen is set to go off after 30 seconds.) As soon as I hit the top button to wake my screen, the next song loads, but if I don't, Pandora will not load the next song, although it does finish the current song.

Wondering is there is a fix yet for the poor audio quality through pandora? Sounded much better before 2.2. The only "fix" I have seen drastically slows down performance.
Yes, I did turn on the higher quality sound in the Pandora settings.

So what happens when a service provider (i.e. Verizon) feverishly releases multiple Android-powered devices without the resources or competence to properly support them?
How can an organization of their size and depth not conduct the due diligence to realize that marketing, selling, and supporting Android devices is not the same as selling new BlackBerry 8330s?
If we, as Android owners, were content with the shit OS that RIM offers, we would all be punching away on archaic devices with no HTML support.
Instead, we're punching away on state-of-the-art devices with no vendor support. I am not sure which is worse.
I predict a brewing storm for Verizon and, for that matter, Sprint and others who lackadaisically and sluggishly provide software and hardware support for these devices. Many Android devices are running 1GHz processors because we end users are not inherently patient and we like snappiness. Too bad the snappiness only exists in our phones.

FIFA 2010 by EA is out. I haven't tried it, but the pictures look promising. While I am not super excited for the game itself, I am excited for what this means regarding EA's future. I think this means we will see other 3D sports games by EA, like Madden!

I started using Exchange and a Windows Mobile device in 2003 which means I have suffered through that OS for over 7 years!! Now I have purchased the Evo, and must say I love the way it works except... It does not work well with Exchange. It appears that it will not sync calendar events (I get an error every time i try to sync). I called Sprint and they say it is a known issue and have no eta on a fix. It also does not have Task sync. I have tried TouchDown, but it appears it puts all your data in the TouchDown program and it is not accessible form the rest of the phone. What is the value of that?

Google had a couple presentations at GDC 2010. Is there any chance that PowerPoint, KeyNote or PDF versions of the presentations could be posted somewhere on the Android Development website? I bet a lot of work went into those presentations. I know they contain lots of valuable information. It makes sense to make that information available to all Android developers.
