Sep 10, 2010
So I can get my Incredible to pair with my Dell E6410 but it says not connected and I can't figure out why it won't connect I've tried rebooting both the phone and the laptop and also re-pairing them both to each other.

Is anybody able to pair and connect to another phone? I can pair and connect fine with my laptop and car head unit fine. I was trying to connect to co-worker's BB and wasn't able to. All it would say is Paired, not connected. So, I tried pairing to a co-workers Incredible and all it said is Paired, not connected. We tried pushing files anyways and it failed.

I'm unable to pair my Verizon Motorola Droid (2.0) with my Voyager Pro bluetooth. When I scan for devices, 9 other, nearby, but much farther away, devices are listed. I've tried power-cycling my Droid and my Pro.

I've googled this with no luck so far. I paired my Droid Charge with some an awesome pair of Freedom Bluetooth Headphones for the gym. I want to go running with a friend...can she buy the same headphones and connect to my phone as well so we can both listen to the same music as we run?
In other words, can one device (my droid) pair with 2 bluetooth receivers simultaneously?

I am looking for a way to connect to Android devices via Bluetooth without user intervention(assuming at least on device is set to "Discoverable"). Since 2.0, it seems the devices prompt for a random pin to be entered when connecting to each other for the first time. I've tried some Bluetooth projects, but none seem to work as the underlying Bluetooth Adapter code always kicks in.

I have an MSI Windpad Enjoy 7 Tab that I used to to connect to an ELM327 OBDII bluetooth dongle for car diagnostics (torque app).
After upgrading from froyo to gingerbread, my tablet bluetooth doesn't detect the elm327 anymore, it also doesn't detect my car kit but it still detects other android phones perfectly well.
I know it's not a hardware problem or incompatibility since I already paired that device to this tablet before, it's a scan problem.
So here's my question: is there a way to "force feed" the bluetooth address of a device into android so it doesn't have to rely on a scan to find it?

I just got my Evo yesterday, and so far everything has been great! I did most of the suggestions in the battery fix threads, and I managed to only drop to about 60% battery after 24 hours, even with decent usage. The problem that I discovered today was that I seem to be unable to pair to any Bluetooth devices after turning the radio back on (first time trying to pair). When I turn everything on, I simply can't see anything when I search for devices. I put the earpiece that I'm trying to link to in discovery mode, and the phone never sees it. Neither does it see the printer Bluetooth interface or the PC Bluetooth. The printer, at least, should be always discoverable. Finally, I tried linking to my wife's phone, and it could neither see her phone when I set it to discoverable, nor could her phone see mine when I made it discoverable. It looks to me as if my Bluetooth radio is completely non-functional, but does anyone know if there may be something simple that I'm missing? A hidden setting or a Bluetooth diagnostic test that I could run (loopback or other)? Does anyone know if the Bluetooth module is integrated on the main PCA or is a add-on module that might be disconnected?

I'm about to upgrade my car stereo, and for about $30 to $70 more I can go with a bluetooth version, so I can stream music and hopefully books from audible.com as soon a they develop the app. I am planning to get the Verizon car dock or something similar to use the Google Nav. From reading posts in the Nexus One threads, the N1 streams music and phone calls well using bluetooth, and will pause music for nav instructions or a call.
Is it safe to assume the Incredible would work the same way? Also, I'd like to hear how others are planning to use their Incredible in the car. Ideally I'd like to drop the phone into the dock with the minimum of connecting charging cables, syncing cables, etc.

I can't pair my Dinc with my new Vaio. Is there something I'm missing. I guess I should just read the manual, huh? Never did. Don't believe in it. Seriously, I thought I did what I had to do and there's no recognition. I do have my Voyager Pro paired with no problems.

I was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?

Iam connecting 3G phone for my Android device for internet connection and another Socket(SPP) for CAN signal receiving.Whenever I manually connect to the Bluetooth tethering via 3G phone, i can browse internet perfectly and speed is good.Whenever programmatically connect to the 3G connection, i couldn't browse internet.i checked in shell and observing that in my mobile 'device is connected' message displayed and E symbol appears. No problem for me to connect Socket. But I got problem to use 3G phone. For this iam using APN/DUN mode.I checked both but no use.Is there any performance issue here or anything wrong to connect different devices by using Bluetooth API in android. Why this happends while connecting Mobile programmatically.

I am developing an application which uses Bluetooth to connect to a device and send/receive data. I am doing all of my testing with a Nexus One phone. I have never been able to establish a SPP (serial port) connection from my phone to any device. However, I have been able to connect from a device (my laptop) to my phone using a Mac equivalent of PuTTY (The only exception to this is the "Bluetooth File Transfer" app from the Marketplace seems to work, but I don't think that uses RFCOM/SPP....

I have an app that I'm wanting to use (Reads car protocols to control tablet). Presently, this app relies on the data being transfered via USB into the tablet. I'm wanting to either add or replace this connection method to allow for Bluetooth. I assume I'm only needing to change this connection method within the app's resources, manifest and XML files - needs to point to the Bluetooth socket, instead of the USB socket.
Currently, I connect to the OBDII Bluetooth device and run Torque. So, the connection will already be present with the device, just need the separate app (Steering Controls) to read the data coming into the tablet via Bluetooth for specific information that triggers the app to do what it's designed to do.

I bluetooth'd my Hero to my laptop and here's more info on it.
1. The speakers on the laptop serve as a wireless speaker system when you make or receive a call.
2. The speakers also play music from your Hero.
3. Transfer files to and from the Hero
4. Send a fax
5. Tether!
6. PIM sync (hello WinMo users!)
7. Wireless printing
I've performed all of these functions without a hitch. So the Hero looks as if it's a better phone than anticipated... at least for me anyway.
