From browsing the threads it appears to me that most folk end up with static wallpaper. Of course screen prints of the screen layouts makes it hard to tell if they are animated or not.
Does live wall paper kill the battery? Does live wall paper slow the device down noticably?

Jun 19, 2010What do you guys prefer? i have found some amazing home screen set ups, mine stinks i have the live aquarium which is cool but hten the standard clock/weather and a few widgets. i have beautiful widgets but i dont find it to be that great. anyways, what wallpaper do u guys generally prefer. i havent found many great live wps but i also havent found a site with good normal wps either, relative to the stuff people who have sick home screens have. also, for my normal wps that i download, they come out super expanded on my home screen. i got the joker/dark knight wp and it comes up expanded on my home screen, same with other wps i pick despite the 640x480 set up.

May 26, 2010I thought 2.1 came with that, but ime probably wrong. I looked up apps, only one thats free. What makes the nexus one and the evo different in the OS? I know the camera/ flash , 720 P , snap dragon, large brighter big screen, so what gives, what is the main attraction ?
people say thr evo will be so much better in OS department, but compared to the HERO isnt that all the same 2.1 OS ?

May 11, 2010My question is since the live wallpapers is an apk and it has been ported to a few other devices, why has it not been ported to the droid eris. We know that with the OTA we won't be getting live wallpapers, so for the people that want them I say we should try to port it over to the Eris. I downloaded several off the market, but i have no idea where to use them at. Also, i have some issues when i go to make calls, i press buttons and it lags to a point to where it slows down completely.

Dec 24, 2009My phone was dying so i charged it. Plug it in, 30 mins past so i went to check on it.
So i looked at it and battery is still red. And i am wonder what the heck. Everything is plug in where it should be.
Low and behold the chord connecting at the mini usb well let's just say the casing is ripping apart and the wire is exposed. I've had this phone for 3 weeks and this happens.
Verizon better give me a new charger. Also i've notice i always get Sense UI force closed and other apps force closed but if i close and start again it works.

Jan 3, 2010I was following another site to see if the Eris was going to get rooted and I saw that a leaked update was discovered for the Eris. IT is suppose to be the one for January 22nd. It is not an Android update, just another update to fix any known bugs on the device. Has anyone on this forum tried it yet and if so what fixes did you notice.

Mar 10, 2010I upgraded to 2.1 last Friday and have been very happy.No issues thus far.Being an early adopter,I wonder if there any later versions then what I down loaded last week. Of course, I should think about leaving well enought alone.I have a working Eris with 2.1.

i want to say that the leaked version of 2.1 was around 100 megabytes and Earlier today i received the offical OTA 2.1 from Verizon and it was only clocked in at 77 megabytes.
Talking to my stepdad, he was very interested in how one version can be different in size but "be the same".
I know theres another forums around here stating the two are the same (checksums and file details) but whats taking up that extra 30 megabytes on the leaked version?

I was in the IRC room the other day, and was told by a couple of users that they had tried a few things and it wasn't possible.
Then today I was playing around the forums and Disabled SenseUI to check out the Android Home, for shits and giggles no attempt to keep it.
I set a background in Home, which spanned all 3 Home pages... when scrolling thru it actually looked like you were moving along a Image 3x the width of one screen.
When I went back to SenseUI.... that same background was there on all 6 pages no copies at all.....
Any1 kno how to make our on like this and install it on the phone? What would the resolution be on one page or multiple pages?

Apr 30, 2010For me, it appears so, sucks because latest Google Voice is great and the sole reason I want to go back to 1.5 (and then maybe the root 2.1 etcs)Confirmed for me, calls now show google voice number in latest google voice app! (as displayed in long list of fixes/improvements.) I definitely encourage any old Leak V2 users to upgrade that want the latest Google Voice!
