I thought 2.1 came with that, but ime probably wrong. I looked up apps, only one thats free. What makes the nexus one and the evo different in the OS? I know the camera/ flash , 720 P , snap dragon, large brighter big screen, so what gives, what is the main attraction ?
people say thr evo will be so much better in OS department, but compared to the HERO isnt that all the same 2.1 OS ?

Is it possible to change the wall paper for each screen within a scene? Loaded a personal pic for wallpaper and it is like panaromic view. Each screen within scene is a portion of pic. If I cant change pics for each screen, can I at least make the pic whole for each screen?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat do you guys prefer? i have found some amazing home screen set ups, mine stinks i have the live aquarium which is cool but hten the standard clock/weather and a few widgets. i have beautiful widgets but i dont find it to be that great. anyways, what wallpaper do u guys generally prefer. i havent found many great live wps but i also havent found a site with good normal wps either, relative to the stuff people who have sick home screens have. also, for my normal wps that i download, they come out super expanded on my home screen. i got the joker/dark knight wp and it comes up expanded on my home screen, same with other wps i pick despite the 640x480 set up.

From browsing the threads it appears to me that most folk end up with static wallpaper. Of course screen prints of the screen layouts makes it hard to tell if they are animated or not.
Does live wall paper kill the battery? Does live wall paper slow the device down noticably?
I noticed that the live wall paper are slowing htc sense down along with eating up battery. Just wondering if anyone else here experience the same thing.

Is it me or is it impossible to make a picture from the gallery your wall paper in its full glory? they let you crop it but i cant figure out a way to make the full picture my wall paper. When you do crop it, it then zooms in on the section you cropped to make it fit the screen. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

I was in the IRC room the other day, and was told by a couple of users that they had tried a few things and it wasn't possible.
Then today I was playing around the forums and Disabled SenseUI to check out the Android Home, for shits and giggles no attempt to keep it.
I set a background in Home, which spanned all 3 Home pages... when scrolling thru it actually looked like you were moving along a Image 3x the width of one screen.
When I went back to SenseUI.... that same background was there on all 6 pages no copies at all.....
Any1 kno how to make our on like this and install it on the phone? What would the resolution be on one page or multiple pages?
I'm not real savvy about the power situation for the Sprint Hero that I just bought. The OEM power source says that the input is standard 100-240V. The OEM output shows as 5V=1A. Now, I have other USB chargers (e.g., for my iPod). The input is the same (100-240V), but the output is:
Output: 5.0V=400mA. Can anyone tell me (a) whether this will HARM my Hero, and (b) whether this will effectively CHARGE my Hero? Also Connecting to my computer via the USB cable: does the charge take longer than if connected directly to a wall charger?
I am going on vacation and want to bring my IPod, but not my laptop. Can I use the wall charger from my Hero and plug the USB cord from my IPod into the wall to charge the IPod while on vaction?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since I rooted my phone to Fresh 2.0D and learned how to do the Live Wallpapers hack as well, I have enjoyed my phone so much that I am changing my mind about getting the EVO. I am one of those geeks that has to have all the newest toys but since I've rooted and installed a custom Rom I find myself comparing my phone to the EVO and slowly realizing that my phone can be just as good. It really was the tethering thing that changed my mind. I think I will get the EVO once someone has learned to root it and do amazing things with it but until then, I am keeping the Hero. I truly love this phone.

I do realize there are roms out there that do this but I have a lot of time invested in tweaking the stock rom and it works excellent for my needs. I just want to rock the Super Mario live wallpaper!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI wonder if anyone is having the same issues I am with Windows Live Messenger?My company and all employees with computers or smartphones uses this as a constant communication tool.On BlackBerry it works really well. If you lose signal and re-gain it, it will auto sign back in.With the Hero, it works fine initially but then after an unknown amount of inactivity, it signs out or whatever. When this happens, it does not sign itself back in until you do it manually or soft reset.Very annoying problem since everyone at the office reminds me that my "little green man" isn't working.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to use LWP in HTC Sense in Fresh? I know the flip guy sent out a fix for this, but that took away weather animations (and I like that). Also the LWP ran a bit laggy, as opposed to when I ran the LWP with the undo fix. The issue is though, when I run it with the fix undone, whenever I wake the phone up, it disappears. Is this some sort of remedy for this.
