just would like flotv or mobitv, but no luck so far. all I can find is tv.com and it has nothing for the kids to watch on long trips. anyone heard anything yet?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThey have a whole website dedicated to iGo Nav N Go for Android and it's not available? What a tease. They already have it on the Iphone and Windows Mobile. If they wait too long they are going to have to compete with Navigon and Google's own navigation software. I've personally used iGo Nav N Go on my HTC Eris and like it a lot.(Don't ask for links or how to.) I'm willing to purchase it when it's released.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is a stupid question, but I never had it right on any phone. I can figure out complex things, but When I answer a call waiting, how do I switch back and forth between the original conversation? Do I press send? Is there any way to conference other than Google Voice?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis may have been said before about incoming messages or maybe calls, but I'm wondering how to turn off vibrate during call waiting. In other words, when I am on a call and someone else calls, the thing continues to vibrate. I would just like a beep or two.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently downloaded 2.1 and so far its awesome, but im having some issues. First, where are the live wallpapers? I downloaded several off the market, but i have no idea where to use them at. Also, i have some issues when i go to make calls, i press buttons and it lags to a point to where it slows down completely.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have this really annoying problem that I've seen mentioned here but I can't find a specific thread on the subject. This first started happening after the December update. When I push the end button to "turn on" the phone (i.e., wake the phone up), I get a black screen with the HTC symbol monentarily. Then, once that goes away, my background appears but nothing else except the waiting icon. I've been told that this is a conflict between something I have installed and the Sense UI.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI don't know how legitimate this is, but I figured I'd post and see if anyone has any thoughts. It comes in at 55.5 MBs. I haven't tried it yet, wondering if anyone wants to?
I'm off to bed right now, I'll investigate further in the morning.

Does anyone have the leaked 2.1 rom and the PAID version of PDAnet working. I know that the app store does not have the paid apps available in it for the leaked version yet. I use PDAnet for internet for my netbook all the time for my business and need to know if it is still available and working on the leaked rom. Also is bluetooth tethering working now that it is 2.1?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was following another site to see if the Eris was going to get rooted and I saw that a leaked update was discovered for the Eris. IT is suppose to be the one for January 22nd. It is not an Android update, just another update to fix any known bugs on the device. Has anyone on this forum tried it yet and if so what fixes did you notice.
I am including a few links to download it in case someone feels adventurous.

I upgraded to 2.1 last Friday and have been very happy. No issues thus far.Being an early adopter,I wonder if there any later versions then what I down loaded last week. Of course, I should think about leaving well enought alone.I have a working Eris with 2.1.
View 18 Replies View RelatedI know that i have read this here somewhere before but hes my question.
i want to say that the leaked version of 2.1 was around 100 megabytes and Earlier today i received the offical OTA 2.1 from Verizon and it was only clocked in at 77 megabytes.
Talking to my stepdad, he was very interested in how one version can be different in size but "be the same".
I know theres another forums around here stating the two are the same (checksums and file details) but whats taking up that extra 30 megabytes on the leaked version?
I have the droid eris with the leaked 2.1 software. I am trying to figure any way possible to get the official update because of all the bugs and the market lacking certain apps.
View 14 Replies View RelatedPlease sticky if so, and only have problems listed, possible solutions etc.Maybe we can keep the thread from being 12 pages long with people asking the same questions. (Including me). Many of us don't have the time or, patience to look through multiple page threads to find the answer we are looking for.
View 11 Replies View RelatedFor me, it appears so, sucks because latest Google Voice is great and the sole reason I want to go back to 1.5 (and then maybe the root 2.1 etcs)Confirmed for me, calls now show google voice number in latest google voice app! (as displayed in long list of fixes/improvements.) I definitely encourage any old Leak V2 users to upgrade that want the latest Google Voice!
View 5 Replies View RelatedHad a quick question - Did the update yesterday morning with no issues other than I can not find some of the apps I used prior to the upgrade. I can find them in the market, but when I try to use my phone to download, it can not find them. Note: I used Astro to back up most of my apps on the phone, these couldn't be backed up since they were marked private. And they didn't display in my downloads either after the upgrade. Digital Clock Widget: Silent Time: If I use my friends phone (same version prior to my upgrade), no problem finding these apps. Suggestions? I could always downgrade back to the previous version, but I was having some freezing issues that I hope this upgrade fixed...

There is a real good thread that includes instructions along with verified downloading sights that for the regular Droid (does not require rooting and can be done over the air or through a pc). Is there available now, a similar solution for the Droid X?
View 3 Replies View RelatedBeing that i have the original droid and its not a year old, i think im just going to wait to get a new phone. Rooting has already taken the droid to 1ghz and beyond, plus froyo is available too. Verzion will be redoing their network soon, so that means many phones will be useless. I really would like to tryout the droid x, but the only way for me to get it is to pay outright or buy it off of ebay. The droid 2 will be coming out soon, but the specs on it are kinda shady right now. These are just my thoughts. What are yours?
View 33 Replies View RelatedI have looked through all the settings that I could find and I have not been able to find the setting to disable call waiting. Does anyone know how to do that? Is it even possible? I personally prefer to have call waiting off. I do not want incoming calls bothering me if I'm already on the phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo is anyone still waiting on progress to be made on the bootloader before going OTA? With root of course
I am having rare stability issues with Flyx / Tranquility on 2.3.9. I never went past this update/combination.
Im thinking if going to 2.2 OTA and rooting seeing as though it seems like no work is being done on cracking the stock bootloader. I know it is, but we haven't gotten any info from anyone lately. What are you guys doing?
When I am in a phone call, sometimes my phone will beep as if I have a call waiting. But I don't. It beeps every 5s or so. The only fix is to restart my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRunning on a Droid 4 with no mods. Email is a POP3 based account.
Are there any apps out there that will show on the email icon that messages are waiting? Right now, all I am getting is the update in the top status/notification bar. If I clear that bar out, I have 0 notification without going into the actual client. BB would show a red * on the icon, and iPhones show a red circle with a number in it on the mail icon. I'm looking for something similar on the droid.
I installed the leaked froyo& i'm pretty impressed with it..internet is reallly fast and flash works great .. there are some bugs & i was wondering when the official froyo comes out will i still be able to get the official version? i can deal with the leaked bugs for now but i want the real deal when it's available..

Volcano incorporates major features of TiVo (time shifting), Slingbox/HAVA (place shifting), Roku (Internet video such as Netflix movies) and new functionalities that support streaming and recording video to smartphones, all in one box. Volcano supports all major smartphone and computer operating systems such as Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Windows and Mac.Volcano allows consumers to schedule and record any of their familiar TV channels remotely from a smartphone to the Volcano's hard-drive and watch the video at the same time or transfer the stored content to a smartphone for later viewing. This can be accomplished through a 3G or Wi-Fi connection from anywhere in the world including airplanes, cars, trains, offices or hotel rooms. Unique, integrated players and EPGs (Electronic Programming Guides) can be downloaded by Volcano users on to any of the popular smartphones or their Windows/Mac computers.

Slingbox/HAVA features included in Volcano enable consumers at home or in remote locations to watch their TV programs live on their smartphones or computers. Volcano is connected to the analog output of a set-top box. At 150kbps uplink speed and by using Monsoon's new technology deploying H.264 compression, Volcano now allows consumers with lower uplink bandwidth to stream video to the Internet and view the video in high quality in remote locations.
I'm still running the leaked 2.2 with FlyX, a little bummed that Pandora doesn't work. Can anybody suggest another ROM, and the best way to update?
