Wondering if anyone knows if CoPilot live will work on the eris? I know their website does not list their eris as a compatible device but I find lots of other apps around the web that are not available in the market but work flawlessly on my eris?

Trying to find a keyboard that will work with Copilot Live 8
Before the update to 2.1 I had a couple installed (SlideIT and another) and they worked fine, but now they don't, even after a reinstall
For example, if I try to input an address the following happens...
Typing a b c d will result in aabaabcaabcd
Does copilot live 8 run from SD in 2.2? It's a huge app on the phone's memory and I hope I can run it from the SD card when 2.2 comes to my desire from my service provider.

I have Copilot 8.2.0.218 and Australian maps installed and wanted to purchase the Nth American ones for US$2.99 from the market. Will doing this upgrade copilot to 8.2.0.368 and then will my current maps still work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Copilot Live USA on my Droid and quite often when I'm testing it at home, choosing different routing options or making other changes to see what effect they have, the app will just close (sometimes after being unresponsive), leaving me at the home screen. I had a similar problem while using it in the car today - a call came in and after the call was completed, Copilot was closed. In all cases, long-pressing Home and selecting Copilot from the recent apps list, results in the app starting from scratch - displaying the splash screen and so on.
Since Copilot takes up a whopping 33+ MB (effective, according to system panel, plus another 12+ MB shared), my first thought is that Android is killing it to allow some other process to run. This is despite the fact that the Droid is listed on the Copilot web site as a compatible device. Is this a common issue with Copilot on the Droid, and is it less common on phones with more RAM?
Does anyone know how to install copilot live 8 to htc hero,downloaded to phone sd card and also got file explorer from market but cannot get it to install.

I had to uninstall it as I ran out of memory on my G1.I temporarily removed other programs to gain the space needed to reinstall it so I could deactivate it per coPilot's FAQ that said this was necessary in order to transfer/install it on a different device. I then uninstalled it from my G1.I went to Google market to download the installation file to my EVO 4G (which uses a different gmail address) but there is only an otpion to buy it again - there is no free/trial install file available to download to which I could add my product key to activate it. There is no trial download file available on CoPilot's website.I initiated a support ticket several days ago and have not heard from them. Seemingly they already have a procedure to do this as their FAQ says it is doable.

As soon as I start the application, the music stops, and won't start back until I close the app. For now, I use Google Navigate, but I would rather use CoPilot, which I paid for.

View 19 Replies View RelatedToday I confirmed my suspicions about Copilot Live - an incoming call causes navigation to stop. Upon completing the phone call, the app loads - not where it left off, but from scratch - and then calculates the route from your current position.
Is this behavior unique to my installation? Or the Motorola Droid?
I should add that NDrive also stops upon an incoming call, but does not automatically resume afterwards.
I'm starting to wonder if this is some remnant of development for some non-multitasking phone OS that I won't name.
im a new member here and i was just wondering if some of your guys can do me a huge favor. can anybody tell me if copilot works for the 2.1 leak, please. i don't wanna jump in with the leak if i am not able to re-download it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy question is since the live wallpapers is an apk and it has been ported to a few other devices, why has it not been ported to the droid eris. We know that with the OTA we won't be getting live wallpapers, so for the people that want them I say we should try to port it over to the Eris. Unfortunately I have close to no knowledge on how to port. If anyone knows how to and is willing to it would be greatly appreciated.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Droid Eris's battery was low yesterday, and it died before i could charge it. I plugged it in through the night, and this morning when I turned it on, it wouldn't boot up. Well, it turns on, but it gets stuck on the white screen with the three skateboarding androids. I left it like that for about 4 hours, and it still hasn't changed.
I tried removing the battery, and then putting it back in, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
OK so if you use POP3 on several computers to get gmail, you may be familiar with this. Basically it makes it so every client gets your email. Anyhow heres my problem, freakin PoS default android email will not recognize it as a correct username. Is anyone familiar with this? Know a better email client than the default (and don't suggest K-9 please, I'm currently using it and hate it). I wish someone would get the HTC mail app to work on vanilla.

However is there any way to make that work with the 2.0.1 launcher? I much pefer that one but still would like to have the full features of live wallpapers.
