While I'm talking to someone, if I receive a text/alarm goes off/or any other notification that vibrates, the phone still vibrates even though I'm in the middle of a call. It is very annoying to have the phone vibrate while it's against my face, and the person I'm talking to can hear it as well. It just started doing this a few weeks ago, and nothing seems to fix it. I am running 2.1v1

Phone all of a sudden will only vibrate when a incoming call is received. Other notifications work as they should...checked settings...checked volume of phone...its my 3rd Android device, so I know what needs to be checked and whatnot

View 10 Replies View RelatedIf you set something, let's say messages, to vibrate, it vibrates even when the phone isn't in vibrate mode. In other words, in normal mode - you'll get an audible alert and vibrate. If you turn off vibrate for messaging, then switch the phone profile to vibrate, the phone doesn't vibrate for messages. So it seems like it's all or none - vibrate always on, or always off. Is this what others have found? I tried installing Quick Profiles and creating profiles but the behavior is the same. Is there an app that has more granular control and can actually control vibrate?

This phone is now starting this same thing like my Evo number 1 was doing and about at the same two weeks in its in service time frame. If this keeps up I'm bailing out as much as I love the phone and all.

Before when in the middle of a call or to hang up a call i just pull the phone away from my head and the screen would come on... or, i would have to use the power up button on the top of the device then swipe to unlock. Now in the middle of a call the power button is not working nor does the screen illuminate when i pull away from my head.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.
View 16 Replies View RelatedThe title says it all. I force updated my Droid 1 to 2.2 and the phone does not vibrate for notifications or calls. I have vibrate set to always and the ringer is turned on. If I use the volume rocker to change the settings to silent it will give the vibrate notification to indicate that it is in silent. I have done a factory reset on the phone but the issue remains. I have tried all of the different vibrate settings but still nothing. Any ideas?

Or how about when you hit phone and you dial a number and hit call and it lags big time, or when go to your past history calls and touch it, it takes like 5-10 sec to make the call?
I am on call this weekend - was talking to a patient when all of a sudden the call cuts off. (no land line, so i have to use my eris on call) -- I push the trackball to light up the screen and nothing happens. Then a few seconds later the bootup screen starts (where it says 'HTC - quietly brilliant). The phone was fully charged...anybody ever have this happen to them? I rely on this phone to reach patients and other doctors...am not happy about this.

View 15 Replies View RelatedSo my End Call button no longer locks the phone today. I always hit it because I am trying to squeeze all I can from the battery. I did install the Not Call Log app because I wanted the button to return to Home instead of the default, but I did uninstall it. If I long press the button, it still brings up the menu to Power Off, Airplane mode, etc. It just does not quick lock the phone, which I really like.
More info: The end call button does re-lock the phone (turn off the screen) when it is already locked, but still does nothing when I am sitting on the Home screen (when I really want to lock the thing).
I just woke my phone after a phone call and now it says that the sd card is damaged and I need to reformat everything!!! I have over 200 pictures of my newborn son on here that I can't loose. I even tried to hook the phone up to the computer and nothing even shows up.

I went ahead and downloaded the Calendar Pad for Android and it is really great. It went and synched with the Calendar app native to the device, which is find because i really like the UI.
But I need a separate calendar app for my work stuff. I don't want them on the same calendar (way too crowded).

1) Before the update, there was a sound that indicated when the call was ended. Anyway to get that back?
2) Has anyone figured out a way to change the end button behavior that was previously controlled by the Spare Parts app? I would like to end button to go home and then go to sleep but Spare Parts can't do it under the new software. Any ideas?
When you want to make a call - you press the phone button and the phone dial buttons pop up and on the top some names from the contact list. You can roll down to get the full list of contact names to select from...
My problem is that this dial list is too sesnsetive : it is enough to touch a name and puff it starts dialing right away. This way I started call by accident people that I did not really want to call. Can this smart dial be made less touch sensetive. Or better: an option when the phone will respond "do you want to call this person?" or something
I have an Eris and my recent call log on my phone displays my outgoing calls as Unknown even if they are saved in my Google contacts. I have the outgoing calls set to go through GV option selected on the phone and I'm not sure what's going on. The contact is displayed for a second and then reverts to Unknown. When I add the unknown number to my existing contacts it works and displays properly, but when I call the same number back from my contact list, it shows up as unknown. My incoming calls and missed calls all show up with the proper contact info, so it seems to just be a problem with my outgoing calls. Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

I went to Settings>Ringtone> and everytime I changed my ringtone, it WOULD NOT sample the tone even when the media and ringtone volume was FULL!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was halfway through the 2.1 update & it came up with an error saying that the update had failed. I now can't turn on my phone. At first I thought it might be a flat battery issue (even though my battery was at 100% before starting the update). After having the mains charger plugged in for over an hour, there was no activity on the LED. When I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing.
When I plug the phone into the PC USB lead, the green light comes on for about 10 seconds, then goes off for a couple of seconds. Again, if I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing else. While I have the phone plugged in via USB, the PC Companion tries to recognize the phone, it does but then says it's not connected as if it's cycling the power just long enough to connect then disconnect. I've also tried all of the above without the SIM card and SD Card in.
