May 4, 2010While I'm talking to someone, if I receive a text/alarm goes off/or any other notification that vibrates, the phone still vibrates even though I'm in the middle of a call. It is very annoying to have the phone vibrate while it's against my face, and the person I'm talking to can hear it as well. It just started doing this a few weeks ago, and nothing seems to fix it. Mar 26, 2010I dont remember this in 1.5 but when I place a call and it connects, the phone vibrates. Checked all settings I could think of and all vibrate is disabled and it still does it. Is this a bug? Or am I missing where to turn this off.

Nov 22, 2010I was halfway through the 2.1 update & it came up with an error saying that the update had failed. I now can't turn on my phone. At first I thought it might be a flat battery issue (even though my battery was at 100% before starting the update). After having the mains charger plugged in for over an hour, there was no activity on the LED. When I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing.
When I plug the phone into the PC USB lead, the green light comes on for about 10 seconds, then goes off for a couple of seconds. Again, if I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing else. While I have the phone plugged in via USB, the PC Companion tries to recognize the phone, it does but then says it's not connected as if it's cycling the power just long enough to connect then disconnect. I've also tried all of the above without the SIM card and SD Card in.

Nov 17, 2009If you set something, let's say messages, to vibrate, it vibrates even when the phone isn't in vibrate mode. In other words, in normal mode - you'll get an audible alert and vibrate. If you turn off vibrate for messaging, then switch the phone profile to vibrate, the phone doesn't vibrate for messages. So it seems like it's all or none - vibrate always on, or always off. Is this what others have found? I tried installing Quick Profiles and creating profiles but the behavior is the same. Is there an app that has more granular control and can actually control vibrate?

Jun 4, 2010For the past two days my alarm goes off, the phone vibrates, but there's no sound it's only the noise of the vibrate that wakes me up.This is a recent thing, I've checked the volume is up, I don't have a taskiller installed, I've set and reset the alarm sound to go off, but even when I go into settings to change the sound, if I select a new sound it doesn't ring out. However, if I go to change my ringtone, that does make a sound. I've turned the phone on and off, I've deleted and set new alarms to no avail.I just don't get it... can anyone help? Software version is 1.0.0.A6288, firmware 1.5 if that helps. Installed new OS about a month ago.

Dec 7, 2009My Droid never vibrates, ever. No matter if it is set to vibrate only, silent, or max sound. It doesn't vibrate for calls, texts or for anything. I set vibrate on for both, calls and texts - and it never vibrates. I temporarily installed other apps to see if the phone is physically able to vibrate, and it is. I am not sure if I am missing an option, or if there is a software malfunction.

Aug 5, 2010The title says it all. I force updated my Droid 1 to 2.2 and the phone does not vibrate for notifications or calls. I have vibrate set to always and the ringer is turned on. If I use the volume rocker to change the settings to silent it will give the vibrate notification to indicate that it is in silent. I have done a factory reset on the phone but the issue remains. I have tried all of the different vibrate settings but still nothing. Any ideas?

Jun 9, 2010when putting your phone on vibrate, it should automatically know to vibrate when you receive notifications, be it emails or messages. instead, as it stands, you must go into the settings for the individual app and check "vibrate". this is super annoying. i have found a work around for messages. i use sms popup. without even enabling vibrate in that app or the messages app, when i put my phone on vibrate now, it vibrates when i get a message. but, is anyone else having the same issue regarding vibrate? is this how it's designed to work? if so, it needs to be changed.

Oct 14, 2010I don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing.Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.

Jun 18, 2010I have an issue with switching between two calls.
You know the screen that shows one call on hold and the other call as active? Say I click on the call that's holding because the first call hung up. My problem is that the first call still shows as holding.
If I simply end the first call, the phone will end ALL calls, and I think this is bad design: the call you're on should be disconnected and the call waiting should become active by default, if you hang up on the first call.
How do I switch to the call holding and get rid of the other call (so, I come out of the call waiting screen back to a regular, "in session" screen") that's no longer in session (other end has hung up)? I

Oct 4, 2010So I've been rooted for about 2 weeks now on my new incredible and I have not had any problems so this is just a curiosity question. There is a zip on the base of my SD card named update.zip. Now i think I narrowed it down to the flash clockwork recovery in Rom manager and I was wondering if this file should be there at all times or is i the latest clockwork that keeps getting placed when I activate that flash that doesn't need to be there?

Jan 22, 2010It seems like my Samsung Behold2 the call drop ratios is extremely high, call drops out of no where and sometimes I have seen full bars on phone but still calls get dropped. Another issue that while on the call the other parties voice will stop coming, the phone will be running and shows the call timer on as well, cannot end the call if this happens, the dialers just seems like hanged. only thing to come out from this issue is either take the battery out or somehow manage it to go in airplane mode.
