Anyone else notice while listening to pandora on their eris that the headphone volume is not that loud? like compared to an ipod... I have not tried downloading music to the SD card yet so i can only test with pandora...

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to play music in my car via the headphone jack( i have a line in for mp3 players on my stereo) and have the blue tooth for calls running simultaneously. I tried this a few times and when I do, I end up having the music play in my headset while i am still in a call or it will stop playing music while I am in a call and bring it back after my call is over.

I can not change the volume up or down, it is stuck about the middle. Also recently when I answer a phone call it uses speakerphone by default wether power is connected or not.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI listen to MP3's with headphones quite often while @ the golf range about 2-3 times a week. I just plug in a random non OEM 3.5 MM earbud headphones (like the white apple one lol ), but sometimes more often than not the eris goes buggy and starts fast forwarding through songs / skipping songs / playing at a faster rate. It seems to this when you press or slightly wiggle the 3.5 MM jack on top, so when it's in my pocket i 'accidently' hit it sometimes. Now i dont know if touching the jack is why it's doing this but that is just theory/conclusion. Does anyone get this problem (people who use headphones while playing sports or having the phone in their pockets?) and/or does anyone know why it happens or how to fix it?
- Another question i have is an accessory question but ill go ahead and ask it here to kill two birds with one stone. Can anyone suggest a good OEM earbud headphone for the Eris? I saw some that aren't actualy 3.5 MM jacks but plug into the Mini-USB port on the bottom, I wonder what kind of headphones came with some people's eris'.
I like to listen to MP3 with my Hero. But the ringtone volume is way too high with a headphone. So before plugging in the headphone, I have to manually turn down the volume. And also I have to remember to revert it back to normal level when the headphone is unplugged. Is there an app to do it automatically? Or am I the only one here?

I can plug my IPod touch (with volume about 90%) into my car using the headphone jack and setting my car volume to a little less than half way is plenty loud. Playing the same audio tracks through the headphone jack of my Eris plugged in the exact same way with the volume cranked all the way up and I have to literally turn the stereo volume to the max to get the same level.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I pause Pandora for more than a few minutes, the widget absolutely refuses to respond and I have to kill Pandora with a task killer (this is the sole reason I keep the tk around) and then I have to use the icon instead of the widget to restart it.
When it crashes, I have to hit the widget like 7 or 8 times to get it to open up full screen. Then I can hit the 'Like' or 'Dislike' button and they will turn blue for a second but no check appears and the play button does absolutely nothing till I go in and do the kill thing. If I try to just hit the icon before killing it, it opens up full screen does the exact same unresponsive thing.
I did a search and it looks like some others had problems with this as well.I am new to the Droid world (tried Blackberry but hated it) and I really like the phone overall, minus a few software bugs. Anyway, my question is how do I set up the phone to play in the car?I have bluetooth on my car and it works for phone calls (it drops every now and then) but I can't get the audio to work.My bluetooth manual for my Volkswagon says the phone needs to be turned onto headset mode? How do I do this and are there any other suggestions to try?I also have a Aux hookup and an Ipod connection.However, I really wanted to use the bluetooth if possible.I haven't tried the Aux hook up yet either.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone (htc eris) in snow but it didn't submerge and I checked the water damage indicator and it still has the little red x's on the white strip so there was no water damage. But now the phone is randomly stuck in headphone mode. I have searched the forum and the only fix people have mentioned is rebooting and taking out the battery... That doesn't work for me.

I keep my eris pretty clean (very mild task killer use.... if at all, focusing on apps I added and quit using hours ago) and don't have much running at once, so i don't think its a lag issue. i am usually in pretty high 3g signal areas, so i don't think its a connection issue either.... i dont notice the problem on my pc....

I notice that when i start it up, Pandora immediately starts skipping songs till it runs out of song skips. Then it will start playing normally. Other times the service won't run at all while it's plugged in.
When i don't have the Eris hooked up to the car Pandora works flawlessly, has anyone else experienced this problem?
The bluetooth I have is the Jawbone prime and its currently synced with my phone.I can talk to people perfectly fine with the bluetooth but when I open Pandora, it doesn't play the music through the bluetooth.Is the Eris compatible to do that or do i have a defective bluetooth or do i need to enable something,I simply cannot find the option to open bluetooth to access media.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having a really strange problem when listening to Pandora or Last.fm radio on my Eris (haven't tried music off my SD card yet, still have it all on my old phone) through the aux port on my Sony headunit.
When it plays, sometimes it will skip to the next song at random and even make a PHONE CALL to the last number on my call list! All while the screen is locked. Yes, the phone will unlock, make a call, and skip songs without me touching it. I was thinking it's the cable (cheap-o I got from dealextreme.com) but my friend's Motorola Droid works fine in my car. I jiggled the cable around where it was plugged into the phone and it skipped a song. So I tried plugging it into the desktop HD radio's aux port at work, and it works fine. Jiggling the cord did nothing. So could it be the cord? Or is it my headunit? The thing is, my LG Chocolate2 worked just fine in my car (with an adapter plug) with the same cable/radio.
Whenever I turn on Pandora then lock my phone, it will finish the current song then stop. So I have to keep the phone awake, or keep unlocking it to keep Pandora playing. Has anyone else run into this issue, and does anyone know of a remedy?

Only problem is no matter what the over all phone volume is (besides vibrate) the ringtones are always so freakin loud.Is there a way to turn down message volume or link it to over all phone volume using the buttons on the side of the phone?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI dropped my eris yesterday and the back popped off. When i put it back on i noticed the volume rocker was gone. i went back and looked for it but couldnt find it. I went to the verizon store today to see if there was a replacement for it. Or if i could buy a new back for the phone because thats what he rocker is attached to but they told me no. So does anyone know what i can do? I know i can change my volume by going to settings but that is just a pain. Does anyone know a website where they might sell the backs for the droid eris?

I knew the button was broken when I bought it and I didn't really care for a while, but tonight when I was trying to fiddle with it, I accidentally popped it out. Is it worth opening the phone to try to solder it back on?Also, how do I navigate through the recovery menu without a volume down button?
