Whenever I turn on Pandora then lock my phone, it will finish the current song then stop. So I have to keep the phone awake, or keep unlocking it to keep Pandora playing. Has anyone else run into this issue, and does anyone know of a remedy?

So I was doing a bunch of tricks for the battery and now when ever my phone locks pandora will not play until I unlock it again.. Any Ideas? Seems like some setting I turned off doesn't allow data to flow when its locked or something.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFor those of you using Pandora have you experienced an issue that after two to three songs Pandora just stops playing as long as your phone is stationary. If you have a phone and use Pandora can you do a test that you turn up Pandora put it down on the table and let it play for at least three songs and let me know if you have an issue. Now it needs to be on the network and not WIFI and the phone MUST be stationary.
View 24 Replies View RelatedWhen I am listening to the music app, or btunes, or mix zing; about one in four times I turn the screen off, the music stops playing. I've tried turning of my task killer, but to no avail. At first, I had a second issue as well: the music would play for only about 15 mins then stop, however, I managed to figure out that that was the 'Data-Off' timer I had set for the battery's 'Smart Mode' (though I'm not sure what data has to do with playing music stored locally). Nevertheless, swapping to 'Performance Mode' solved that. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out why a quarter of the time I turn the screen off, it kills the music.

Is there a way to change it so even though its sleeping it'll still play? I'm going on a long trip soon and I don't want to have to take my iPod too.. I just want one music device so I have less chords.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently got an auxiliary cable for my car to play Pandora through the stereo while on the road. I notice that when i start it up, Pandora immediately starts skipping songs till it runs out of song skips. Then it will start playing normally. Other times the service won't run at all while it's plugged in.
When i don't have the Eris hooked up to the car Pandora works flawlessly, has anyone else experienced this problem?
Is there a way to stream music that is playing on your phone into Winamp? For instance, if using Pandora or Slacker radio and I have my computer headset on, I would like to listen to the music that is playing on my phone, on my computer. My media player of choice is Winamp.

Usually the music would fade back in after the voice prompt, but the music is completely stopping and has to be restarted manually. Not fun on an 8 hour drive...

I noticed that when I listen to music on my headphones and whenever I go into my homescreen, the music player would pause and not play the song anymore. I've tried 2 music applications (Apollo and Shuttle +) and it kept on doing the same thing on both apps. I've tried resetting the phone but the problem still persists.
I've searched and found out that a lot of people have similar issues and all they had to do was upgrade their music app. I've tried it with shuttle + but it didn't really work.
When playing music with the stock Music Player application on my phone and turning the phone screen off or multitasking, the music is still able to play in the background. Is it possible to do the same with the stock YouTube app? I want to let the audio of the YouTube video I am watching to keep playing when I either exit out of the app or when I press the power button on my phone to turn off the screen to save battery. Although I can just set my phone screen to not go off when idle for a certain amount of time, but then again, that is battery consuming.

I have an application which starts a service. The service has a timer and pops a notification every 30 seconds. I notice the following behavior: if the screen is on the notifications are shown ok (even if the app is in background). if the screen is off (by power button or by itself) the notifications won't show. if the screen is off but I have the debugging running the notifications appear. How can I make the service run with the screen off. (The actual app only checks if a notification should be checked every 30 seconds, but for testing purposes, the above scenario is ok)

It'll also start playing a song skip to another , then another then back to the original and then call my voicemail. Other times when I dont even have a music app open and try to send a text it'll start playing a song. Anyone have any clue what is going on?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am really happy with my Droid Eris, but there is one exception. I listen to Pandora on my phone almost daily at work. I have a radio that has an audio input so I connect my phone and play it through the radio. The problem is when someone calls me. I usually don't answer and call them right back from the work line, but sometimes, like today, I get frustrated and I want to answer the cell. First, if I don't disconnect the headphone jack the person calling cannot hear me. Second, if I disconnect it and take the call as soon as the call disconnects the music starts and it is usually blaring! This happened today and I was so embarrassed when the song 'Broken Wings' by Mr. Mister went blaring and about 30 people could hear it and the phone was not responding to turn it off! I really hope someone can help me with this issue.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 2010 Mazda 3 w/ Bluetooth and an auxillary output--I have had no problems w/ the Bluetooth as far as receiving and making phone calls and I play my iPod thru the auxillary system all the time...I just got the Droid 2 weeks ago and downloaded Pandora this past weekend--I can't get it to play thru the Bluetooth (even though the little music symbol shows that it is paired) and I can't play it thru my Droid hooked up thru the auxillary system either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently having some problems controlling the audio on my phone via bluetooth in my car.
When I press the button for the next track on Pandora, that would automatically activate the Android Music Player and play whatever I have stored on the SD card. Ultimately, what I have is 2 sources of music playing at the same time.
Only way to fix it is to get rid of the SD card. OR I can switch tracks using the phone itself.
I realize that this problem isn't limited to the Droid X. I've read about this happening on the Incredible as well.
Anyone know whether a patch (or Froyo can fix this)?
This is kinda hard to explain but whenever I plug in headphones into my droid if they move a certain way it screws up and stops playing. It goes in and out too if I turn the jack while its plugged in. I tried several headphones that I know have no problem with them. Has anyone else had this problem? Also if you still don't get what im trying to say let me know.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince the 2.1 OTA update, my Droid Eris has been a little slower and little buggy. Which I'm not that concerned about. But today, I cannot drag down to unlock my screen. When I hit menu, it does nothing. Is there another way to shut down the phone when you cannot unlock the screen?
'Sorry if this is an utter newb question, but I think if I can power down an restart the phone, I may be able to unlock my screen.
This will be my first of many questions....when my Eris is in lock mode and a call comes in there is no option to decline the call. The screen says "slide to unlock the phone and answer the call" but if I want the call to go to voicemail I Have to let it keep ringing. also how do I get music from Itunes into the Eris?

The issue:
When I have to restart my phone, all apps stop responding, including phone, google apps, everything. I can't make calls, I don't have a signal, nothing works really. The solution: uninstall recently installed applications, and that fixes it.
However, I wonder if there is something else going on causing this. The reason: Yesterday I installed Backgrounds (a popular 4-5 star application from Android Market). I had to reboot my phone (locked up), when I did, nothing was responding, got messages like acore, gapps, and other apps stopped unexpectedly. I removed Backgrounds, restarted again, and everything worked. My wife uses Backgrounds, but her phone doesn't stop working when she has to restart. Why is this happening on my phone? Is there another app causing interference?
I am always changing the volume accidentaly, especially while I am streaming Pandora or slacker when my screen is locked. Also I keep accidentaly turning my ringer down. Is there a way to totally disable the volume buttons or at least make them less annoying?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried AutoLock and LockBot and maybe I didn't set an option correctly, but I can't seem to get a password or pattern unlock after a reboot/power off/on cycle.Both work fine during normal power on operations, but when I power cycle the phone it just comes up with the normal swipe unlock right into an open Eris with no password/pattern required. Kind of defeats the purpose by allow a bypass of the security.Maybe I'm missing something here or having a Homer moment.

Is there anyway to change the song (as in skip it to the next) on Pandora when the screen is locked? I've been hooking my Ally up to an AUX port in my car and wanted to know if there was an easy way to keep changing the songs while on the road because I lock my screen with a touchcode and find it a big bother to keep having to turn my phone back on to change the song.
Why does my music start up even if the phone is locked? It kills me everyday, my battery dies out because my Ally plays music all day long without me noticing it. Another, while I have your attention, and haven't looked around for the answer of this one: How do you keep your phone screen on during calls: Checking messages is a burden for me!

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust installed froyo on my T-Mobile Desire, and have been using flash to watch iplayer stuff. The problem is, if you want to listen to iplayer radio it stops playing when the screen is turned off, or if you switch to a different window. This is obviously to stop flash playing when its not used, but is there a way to maybe add Safe websites, or just turn that function off completely.
