I've noticed when playing music, whether through the music player or Pandora, I can't get the volume up to those ear-splitting levels I sometimes prefer. One workaround, at least for my local music files, would be to rerecord them in Audacity and increase the general volume there, though this would result in some distortion. I would prefer to have a way to increase my Hero's volume past the normal settings. I've searched the market but couldn't find anything that actually "boosts" the volume. Does anyone know of anything?

Mainly for my alarm clock and ringtone so that I don't miss calls or oversleep. I saw on the forum about speaker boost, but it doesn't seem to make a huge difference for me. I currently am using the LG optimus Pro
I'm on my htc evo and dont listen to music much with headphones. I'm on a trip this weekend so I brought headphones. I can not change the volume up or down, it is stuck about the middle. Also recently when I answer a phone call it uses speakerphone by default wether power is connected or not.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI like to listen to MP3 with my Hero. But the ringtone volume is way too high with a headphone. So before plugging in the headphone, I have to manually turn down the volume. And also I have to remember to revert it back to normal level when the headphone is unplugged. Is there an app to do it automatically? Or am I the only one here?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an Android application that plays back voice mails using Media Player, which are just WAV files that have been sent to the device. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?

View 27 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased the Virgin Mobile Supreme (Sprint Vital, ZTE N9810). The one thing that is bothering me is that there is only one volume setting for the combined ringtone and notifications. I would like to set these volumes separately.
I tried one volume control tool, but even though it had 'separate' controls changing ringtone changed notification and vice versa.
I noticed that when turning down the volume of the ringer with the volume rocker it doesn't automatically turn down the notification volume as well. Is there a way to set the volume rocker to adjust both notification and ringer volume to the same level? You can test this by going under Settings/Sound and Display/Ringer Volume...and try adjusting the volume with the rocker and it only adjust the Ringer Volume.

Everything is running fine on my phone so far but with the exception of my clock's alarm volume.
For example:I set the alarm volume to max, I go and set my clock alarm to ring and when the alarm rings the volume is set to very low. When I check back to verify the volume, the volume is set to very low. I am very sure that I have set it to max though.
I have tried to reset my phone to factory settings, it didn't work..
When I record video on my htc-magic, the sound is recorded very quietly. (is also quiet after uploaded to YouTube etc.) Is there a way to boost the sensitivity of the microphone? Sound is also very quiet when using one of the voice recorder apps. Speaker on magic is fine (if not very tinny), can hear beebplayer, youtube etc. at reasonable level. Also made sure my fingers are not covering the microphone hole (next to USB port)
