Anyone notice how pandora clicks when playing. I keep my eris pretty clean (very mild task killer use.... if at all, focusing on apps I added and quit using hours ago) and don't have much running at once, so i don't think its a lag issue. i am usually in pretty high 3g signal areas, so i don't think its a connection issue either.... i dont notice the problem on my pc....

This only seems to have affected my EVO - after updating to 2.2, the sound quality through Pandora is very low, even with the "High quality" setting enabled. Before I updated, sound quality was at CD-like levels, even without the HQ option enabled!
View 49 Replies View RelatedSo my wife just tells me (5 days after the last day I have to return my phone) that lately the sound quality when I call her is terrible. She has trouble hearing me and mainly hears a bunch of background noise while my voice is kind of faint. My signal strength doesn't seem to make much of a difference. On my end calls sound great. Just trying to see if anyone else has had any complaints. She claims it was better before. Not sure what's going on but I'd hate to think this phone sounds terrible to the people I am calling.

No matter what player I use (stock player, TuneWiki, MixZing, DroidLive, Last, LastFM, Pandora (to a slightly lesser degree)), music comes out incredibly muddled, like I'm listening through pillows over my ears. True of any of 5 pairs of headphones I use (and I'm not about to go out and buy $100 headphones), including through my car adapter.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have some strange problem when using pandora connected to my car stereo via aux in. If I start it up, it plays perfectly. If a call comes in, it pauses and takes the call. then resumes just fine after the call. but if I manually pause the music and switch to another app. when I return to pandora and un-pause the music, it plays but sounds "garbled" like it is under water! I have to reboot the droid at this point to get it back to normal.

View 7 Replies View RelatedLiking the music sound quality (out of the 3.5mm) on your Droid X. Since I use my phone as my primary music playing device, SQ is critical. (I typically listen with super high quality in-ear monitors - Shure SE530;s.) I haven't had a chance yet to A/B with my iPhone 3G (which sounded pretty damn good!) but so far, I'm reasonably impressed with the DX audio.

I will be using Skullcandy Titans which are in-ear earphones with noise isolation. I am hoping it is at least as good as that through my iPod nano 4th gen. I know that isn't an amazing benchmark but I'll be satisfied if it sounds at least that good with high-quality audio stored on the SD card. Speaking of SD card, do they still pack in the 16GB MicroSD card with Droids these days?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I pause Pandora for more than a few minutes, the widget absolutely refuses to respond and I have to kill Pandora with a task killer (this is the sole reason I keep the tk around) and then I have to use the icon instead of the widget to restart it.
When it crashes, I have to hit the widget like 7 or 8 times to get it to open up full screen. Then I can hit the 'Like' or 'Dislike' button and they will turn blue for a second but no check appears and the play button does absolutely nothing till I go in and do the kill thing. If I try to just hit the icon before killing it, it opens up full screen does the exact same unresponsive thing.
I did a search and it looks like some others had problems with this as well.I am new to the Droid world (tried Blackberry but hated it) and I really like the phone overall, minus a few software bugs. Anyway, my question is how do I set up the phone to play in the car?I have bluetooth on my car and it works for phone calls (it drops every now and then) but I can't get the audio to work.My bluetooth manual for my Volkswagon says the phone needs to be turned onto headset mode? How do I do this and are there any other suggestions to try?I also have a Aux hookup and an Ipod connection.However, I really wanted to use the bluetooth if possible.I haven't tried the Aux hook up yet either.

I notice that when i start it up, Pandora immediately starts skipping songs till it runs out of song skips. Then it will start playing normally. Other times the service won't run at all while it's plugged in.
When i don't have the Eris hooked up to the car Pandora works flawlessly, has anyone else experienced this problem?
The bluetooth I have is the Jawbone prime and its currently synced with my phone.I can talk to people perfectly fine with the bluetooth but when I open Pandora, it doesn't play the music through the bluetooth.Is the Eris compatible to do that or do i have a defective bluetooth or do i need to enable something,I simply cannot find the option to open bluetooth to access media.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having a really strange problem when listening to Pandora or Last.fm radio on my Eris (haven't tried music off my SD card yet, still have it all on my old phone) through the aux port on my Sony headunit.
When it plays, sometimes it will skip to the next song at random and even make a PHONE CALL to the last number on my call list! All while the screen is locked. Yes, the phone will unlock, make a call, and skip songs without me touching it. I was thinking it's the cable (cheap-o I got from dealextreme.com) but my friend's Motorola Droid works fine in my car. I jiggled the cable around where it was plugged into the phone and it skipped a song. So I tried plugging it into the desktop HD radio's aux port at work, and it works fine. Jiggling the cord did nothing. So could it be the cord? Or is it my headunit? The thing is, my LG Chocolate2 worked just fine in my car (with an adapter plug) with the same cable/radio.
I am at work and i cant figure out how to turn off the ringer sound while keeping the sms sound everytime i turn the ringer off it for a to silent mode.

I have some Shure headphones that I use with my itouch and they sound great. The EVO sounds just "OK". Anyone have a player that they use that works better than others? Maybe one with an EQ?

As much as I'm addicted to the phone, I was a bit disappointed the sound quality wasn't great- comes out a bit 'tinny'. I got myself some Sennheiser CX 500 earphones and it seems now the sound it much much better.
I just wondered what other people's experiences were with the music/sound quality on the Hero...
Also, if it's not too much to ask further, what music player do you use? I've got Rockon and the default player and kinda like them both but neither are perfect...
The sound quality on my Incredible is bad, especially compared to by Blackberry. Has anybody else had this issue? Verizon thinks it may be a bad handset and they're going to replace it, but I'm wondering if I should switch back to the Blackberry.

I hope its just me but the frequency range seem incomplete. The highs are missing and the low end is clipped out pretty early. The midrange is decent though.
So yea I'm a hardcore audiophile and any crackle/pop in my music really annoying. I have had the EVO since Friday, and everything I try (Slacker, Pandora, last.FM, whatever) cracks/pops when the audio is going through the 3.5MM jack to my car. I'm already on a wait list for replacement because I think it's faulty hardware. I've tried multiple cables and even HQ settings.
Coming from a Touch Pro 2 which had amazing sound quality through the 3.5mm jack, needless to say I'm less than happy with the EVO since I primarily stayed with Sprint for uncapped data. If I get a replacement and it still continued, looks like I may be wandering over to that new iPhony. I urge everyone with this issue to post here so they can resolve it or figure out whats going on.
Does anyone have problems with sound when playing music. I seem to be have one channel missing when I play Pandora or my personal music. It sound like one side of the songs is coming through but through both speakers. is there and equalizer app out there?
