The bluetooth I have is the Jawbone prime and its currently synced with my phone.I can talk to people perfectly fine with the bluetooth but when I open Pandora, it doesn't play the music through the bluetooth.Is the Eris compatible to do that or do i have a defective bluetooth or do i need to enable something,I simply cannot find the option to open bluetooth to access media.

I did a search and it looks like some others had problems with this as well.I am new to the Droid world (tried Blackberry but hated it) and I really like the phone overall, minus a few software bugs. Anyway, my question is how do I set up the phone to play in the car?I have bluetooth on my car and it works for phone calls (it drops every now and then) but I can't get the audio to work.My bluetooth manual for my Volkswagon says the phone needs to be turned onto headset mode? How do I do this and are there any other suggestions to try?I also have a Aux hookup and an Ipod connection.However, I really wanted to use the bluetooth if possible.I haven't tried the Aux hook up yet either.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems, almost every video I want to see is unable to play with the youtube app. I'm not really a big youtuber as it is, but why have a youtube app on the phone if it can't play 99% of the videos? Although the browser works better, I do get the same result for some videos using the browser too. Is this part of the limitations with having Android 1.5 or what?

This is a new Eris, got it about 2 weeks ago so I am assuming it's got the most current ROM. Does anyone know how I can get YouTube to work while on the cellular network and not WiFi?

My Eris, and now the replacement Eris sent by Verizon, will not connect to our Panasonic KX-TH1212 home phone system. It worked fine before the upgrade to 2.1 and my wife's Droid still works fine with it.The Eris will pair with the KX-TH1212, but will not connect; I've tried it multiple times with both Eris phones.The KX-TH1212 requires a passcode (0000) to pair. After failing to connect, the Eris only provides one option (unpair) in the long press menu.The Droid has three options (connect, unpair, and don't remember this one).I would appreciate any help or similar experiences to fix this issue.

If I leave it open I can listen with no problem. But if I hit the home screen to use another app it immediately stops working. In my list of running services it says it's still running and it shows up in my task killer as a running app. Any thoughts?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 2010 Mazda 3 w/ Bluetooth and an auxillary output--I have had no problems w/ the Bluetooth as far as receiving and making phone calls and I play my iPod thru the auxillary system all the time...I just got the Droid 2 weeks ago and downloaded Pandora this past weekend--I can't get it to play thru the Bluetooth (even though the little music symbol shows that it is paired) and I can't play it thru my Droid hooked up thru the auxillary system either.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI am currently having some problems controlling the audio on my phone via bluetooth in my car.
When I press the button for the next track on Pandora, that would automatically activate the Android Music Player and play whatever I have stored on the SD card. Ultimately, what I have is 2 sources of music playing at the same time.
Only way to fix it is to get rid of the SD card. OR I can switch tracks using the phone itself.
I realize that this problem isn't limited to the Droid X. I've read about this happening on the Incredible as well.
Anyone know whether a patch (or Froyo can fix this)?
When I pause Pandora for more than a few minutes, the widget absolutely refuses to respond and I have to kill Pandora with a task killer (this is the sole reason I keep the tk around) and then I have to use the icon instead of the widget to restart it.
When it crashes, I have to hit the widget like 7 or 8 times to get it to open up full screen. Then I can hit the 'Like' or 'Dislike' button and they will turn blue for a second but no check appears and the play button does absolutely nothing till I go in and do the kill thing. If I try to just hit the icon before killing it, it opens up full screen does the exact same unresponsive thing.
Why do I have to keep quitting / restarting Pandora?

I keep my eris pretty clean (very mild task killer use.... if at all, focusing on apps I added and quit using hours ago) and don't have much running at once, so i don't think its a lag issue. i am usually in pretty high 3g signal areas, so i don't think its a connection issue either.... i dont notice the problem on my pc....

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently got an auxiliary cable for my car to play Pandora through the stereo while on the road. I notice that when i start it up, Pandora immediately starts skipping songs till it runs out of song skips. Then it will start playing normally. Other times the service won't run at all while it's plugged in.
When i don't have the Eris hooked up to the car Pandora works flawlessly, has anyone else experienced this problem?
I'm having a really strange problem when listening to Pandora or Last.fm radio on my Eris (haven't tried music off my SD card yet, still have it all on my old phone) through the aux port on my Sony headunit.
When it plays, sometimes it will skip to the next song at random and even make a PHONE CALL to the last number on my call list! All while the screen is locked. Yes, the phone will unlock, make a call, and skip songs without me touching it. I was thinking it's the cable (cheap-o I got from dealextreme.com) but my friend's Motorola Droid works fine in my car. I jiggled the cable around where it was plugged into the phone and it skipped a song. So I tried plugging it into the desktop HD radio's aux port at work, and it works fine. Jiggling the cord did nothing. So could it be the cord? Or is it my headunit? The thing is, my LG Chocolate2 worked just fine in my car (with an adapter plug) with the same cable/radio.
My husband and I both just got Epic 4G's, and neither one of them will stream Pandora via bluetooth to my Sony XPlod car stereo correctly. Both of them experience major dropouts in the sound. Streaming songs loaded onto the SD card via bluetooth works fine, and streaming pandora via a cable out the headset jack on the phone to the aux in of the stereo works fine as well. So the problem only happens when Pandora specifically tries to stream over the bluetooth. (I am using a Sony XPlod car stereo).

Then, I accidently bump the channel up button on my stearing wheel... and my mind exploded.
The channel up button on my wheel told Pandora to go to the next song!
This phone rocks!
Whenever I turn on Pandora then lock my phone, it will finish the current song then stop. So I have to keep the phone awake, or keep unlocking it to keep Pandora playing. Has anyone else run into this issue, and does anyone know of a remedy?

I had a bunch of music saved on my SD Card that I downloaded from VZW Music Media thing.
When I go to music on the Incredible and go over the song (it shows the picture of the album of the song)
it says "unable to play this type of audio"
one problem i just noticed since i installed LFY1.4 with the smoked theme.. when i try to play videos that i recorded on my phone previous to rooting, and rom'ing i get an error "sorry this video cannot be played". it only happens with certain videos, not all of them. not sure if it has to do with the rom, the theme, launcher pro, rooting or what.. wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or anything similar?

I have yet to be able to play any youtube videos on my phone, whether it be from the youtube widget, a browser window, or a facebook link. It just goes to loading video, and it never loads. I have my Incredible paired with my Altima and can make calls via Bluetooth with no problem. My question is, how can I wirelessly stream music or Pandora from my phone to my car (Altima does not have an aux jack).
