Eris with 2.1 I purchased Audio Manager, but even when maxed out there's less volume than on other cellphones we have. This is true with all audio functions, including Bluetooth. Is there another way, or a better tool, that will improve audio volume.

I'm writing an Android application that plays back voice mails using Media Player, which are just WAV files that have been sent to the device. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust started using the Pandora music app, but my kids in the back seat could not hear it. so I stopped by Walgreens and picked up the "JUPITOR JACK". you can't miss it cause it has the big red ad: "AS SEEN ON TV". it works well enough, but I had to tweak my car audio system to make it decent. whatever the droid plays comes out on the car radio, it's better then my old belkin FM transmitter.

And im talking about the mp3's from the sd card not pandora (pandora is a whole seperate issue obviously) Is it just me?? Is there some sort of fix or app for this besides rooting? Im running 2.2.

So, I am doing audio recording using MediaRecorder, but unfortunately when I playback the recorded audio, I have media with a very low volume. I don't here anything (almost anything).
Is there any possibility to setup recording volume?
Does anyone feel that EVO's media audio output volume is low? I am a former iPhone user and IMO there is a noticeable difference in the overall output db level compared to iPhone only when playing audio files like mp3 and .wav. Does anyone know if there is a way to boost the audio output volume for non rooted users? Is there an app that could help?

There is just one issue that I would love to gloss over but it's important given that it is a phone so I'd like your input. There was one other thread on this that sounds kind of like what I'm experiencing but I just wanted to be sure before I go in and exchange it.
When I am on a call, it is rather difficult for me to hear the person on the other end. I have the volume turned all the way up but not only is that not that loud but they also sound muffled. If it were one or the other I might be able to deal, but I never had trouble hearing on my BlackBerry and I never had the volume turned all the way up. It's gotten to the point where I'm unknowingly pressing the phone against my ear really hard so I can hear better. Has anyone else noticed that callers sound muffled? Should I exchange it?
My X10i has really low audio volume when using my bluetooth headset. The same headset when paired with my old trusty Sony Ericsson K610i worked fine. I have also tried with a Sony Ericsson Elm and that was ok. Is there anyway to increase the volume on the X10i? Any SW patches, apps or tweaks?
View 3 Replies View RelatedQuestion: The EVO 4G plays an audio file whenever you adjust the ringtone volume with the volume rocker buttons. Does anyone know which file this is and where it's located? Why I'm asking (in case you're interested): I'm one of those that does not like to hit the power button everytime I want to sleep/lock or wake up my phone. It's simply an awkward button for me to hit and I'm afraid I'll wear it out over time or accidentally drop the phone. So, I'm using 'Screen Off' to sleep the phone with homescreen shortcut and 'No Lock' to prevent the phone from going entirely into lock mode. This lets me use the volume rocker buttons to wake the phone. The problem is that each time I hit the button it plays the 'plunk' sound indicating the volume level, which is driving me a little nuts (think Chinese water torture). I've been unable to find a solution to this problem, and am now looking at finding the media/audio file for this and simply replacing it with a silent audio clip. But I searched for all media files in /system, played them each, and couldn't find a match.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI dropped my eris yesterday and the back popped off. When i put it back on i noticed the volume rocker was gone. i went back and looked for it but couldnt find it. I went to the verizon store today to see if there was a replacement for it. Or if i could buy a new back for the phone because thats what he rocker is attached to but they told me no. So does anyone know what i can do? I know i can change my volume by going to settings but that is just a pain. Does anyone know a website where they might sell the backs for the droid eris?

I knew the button was broken when I bought it and I didn't really care for a while, but tonight when I was trying to fiddle with it, I accidentally popped it out. It doesn't always ring at max volume but maybe 1 out of 3 times. Does anyone else have this problem? I have 2.1 second leak installed.
I reset all my data before installing the leak. Anyway to fix this? Aside from this I have no other problems with 2.1.
How do I select the volume for my alarms? It drives me crazy that even when I put my phone on silent for a meeting, any alarms I have set go off loud and clear. What am I missing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI did the OTA upgrade to 2.1 last week, and noticed that the "click" when typing on the keyboard is really loud now.I notice this mostly when texting, which I do at work, and now it's so loud that everyone around me can hear.So, the question is how to adjust the volume for text input? I can't for the life of me figure out where this setting is. I have looked through all the menus but I guess there is one that I havent found. I also looked in the Handcent app menu and there's nothing in there.Also no adjustment in the standard text program either.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI literally just got a refurb eris today and when I went to make a phone call I could hear nothing through the earpiece and the person on the other end couldn't hear anything I said. This seems to be a version of the silent-call bug but this time I can hold a conversation with speakerphone and they can hear me, but when it's just through the earpiece like normal both parties get silence. Since this is a fresh refurb could someone with the OTA post their software data so I could compare it to what I have, I think I found one earlier while screwing around and it looked like it matched but now I want to double check.
