Jul 19, 2010Is it possible to play music in my car via the headphone jack( i have a line in for mp3 players on my stereo) and have the blue tooth for calls running simultaneously. I tried this a few times and when I do, I end up having the music play in my headset while i am still in a call or it will stop playing music while I am in a call and bring it back after my call is over.

Apr 19, 2010I've got an annoying issue when listening to music on my Droid. During any song, any album, at any time, the music will skip. Like the old CD players did when they were jiggled around, etc. I've tried it in every situation possible. It skips in every music app, any headphone or AUX cable, wether its being charged OR not. I thought it may be happening due to network things like receiving a text, or when Google syncs, but I don't think that's it. One of the reasons I got the Droid was for it to replace my iPod, but I can't even listen to music! This happened before 2.1, after, and even when I was ROM'd and rooted.

Nov 11, 2009I have two sources of audio: the music player and Doggcatcher for podcasts. Whenever I listen to a track in the music player and then stop listening, it remembers and keeps it "ready". Then I go and listen to a podcast and, again, the last thing played remains ready to play at any point. So, here is the problem. When I go to listen to music, I can get into the music player and hit play, no problem. But, the first time I use the inline remote to pause and then play, that "play" command turns on the podcast player as well and BOTH start playing, music and podcast.
Oddly, when I am just in Doggcatcher and play a podcast, the inline remote will not automatically start the music player. Is there a way to make sure Doggcatcher will not start when I want to listen to the music player? I suppose I could load up Google Listen and see what would happen with that program instead.
Motorola Droid : Scratchy Sound When Listening To Voice Mail
Nov 16, 2009I don't know if this is just a cell phone thing because my last phone on Sprint did it too. But when I call in to my voice mail and hear the female voice of the menu system, she is very scratchy. It doesn't matter what volume level I am at either, it's almost as if the sound quality of the VM system is just extremely poor.When I use my Droid speaker for other things I don't hear this at all. I watched several movie trailers in high quality on YouTube and turned the volume to max and it was as clear (and loud) as I could ever hope.So has anyone else noticed this?I wonder why this occurs?

Jan 7, 2010Anyone else having a problem with a crackly intermittent headphone jack?
Mine has progressively gotten worse over the last month or so, to the point where the slightest movement causes crackling and sometimes intermittent loss of the sound. This is in no way related to the "left speaker pop at max volume" issue that has been previously reported. This is a purely mechanical issue, and having seen the teardown pics on the web, I think its due to the fact the headphone socket isn't actually soldered to the board, but uses 5 contacts and contact pads to make the connection. I wonder if this might be a weak spot in the design..I'm going to take the droid back this weekend to Verizon, any Idea's what my options are regarding a replacement, its after 30 days, but the motoroloa warranty should cover me for a year, right?

May 16, 2010Can anyone please comment on the audio quality through the 3.5mm headphone jack on the Droid? I will be using Skullcandy Titans which are in-ear earphones with noise isolation. I am hoping it is at least as good as that through my iPod nano 4th gen. I know that isn't an amazing benchmark but I'll be satisfied if it sounds at least that good with high-quality audio stored on the SD card. Speaking of SD card, do they still pack in the 16GB MicroSD card with Droids these days?

Jan 29, 2010I listen to music or podcasts all day long at work. When I get a call, I pull out the headphones and answer the call. From time to time, I will not get any audio through the phones normal speaker. It will work if I plug back in the headphones or if I go to speaker phone. The only way I have found that will clear up this issue, is to pull the battery and reboot. It is like my phone is getting stuck into thinking the headphones are still in.

Nov 12, 2009When the unit is the GPS dock attached to my windshield, I usually have it plugged into the 3.5mm accessory jack on my stereo. Of course, I am able to listen to Pandora and still get the turn by turn directions via my car audio but when I receive a call an put it on speakerphone, it still uses the phone's onboard speaker.
So, has anyone found a way to configure the phone so that when I put it on speaker the audio is routed out the 3.5mm jack instead of the unit's onboard speaker?

Oct 9, 2010Not crazy about the placement of the power button. Is there a way to remap the volume or camera buttons to wake the phone? And yes, I've seen the "No lock" thread, but I still want the phone to be somewhat difficult to accidentally unlock. What would be perfect would be a double click of one of the other buttons to waken and unlock the phone. Is this possible? Maybe it's a root thing?

Dec 1, 2009Yesterday (which was the last day of the month), I got a message in the browser saying that I had reached my data limit. It would not load anything. It would still access data over Facebook, Twidroid and Sportstrack, but not the browser. Today, all is fine. So, was that message just in error, or does it sound as if I actually hit my limit? I heard around here that they were not really going to be monitoring the usage unless you were on the business plan. I suppose I could find out if I could see my total usage numbers, if I was around the 5 GB mark.
