When I charge with a non HTC USB cable the phone wont charge. I've had it on for the last 16 hours and although the light goes orange and the little battery animates as though it's charging it hasn't budged since I put it on... I haven't tried it with the official cable yet but does anyone know of any reason why a non-HTC USB cable wouldn't do the same as a HTC branded one?

I bought this from Monoprice: "USB 2.0 A Male to Micro 5pin Male 28/28AWG Cable - 3ft" hoping to charge the phone away from home by plugging it into a computer. But all I get is an option to mount the SD card as a drive to copy files. It doesn't seem to be able to charge the phone. Do I need a special cable, or maybe a second charger from T-Mobile? I had always charged my old MP3 player with USB, so I figured the phone could do the same thing.

When I charge it with the cable that came with it, it charges fine. But if I charge it with the Moments cable, it doesn't charge. The battery icon is animated as if it's charging and Spare Parts reports that it's charging, but the battery level continues to fall as if it's not plugged in.

So it's been a few days and I know it's completely dry, but I was wondering or not if it would be okay to still use it? I didn't know if that somehow messed the cable connector up. So, please charge when I plug in the power adapter, but please don't charge when I plug in the USB data cable. The reason I'm asking is because with all of experimenting I'm doing, trying to get my USB PC to phone connection working, my battery is being overcharged. Yes overcharged to the extent that the phone has even popped up a message once or twice telling me to disconnect, that the battery is fully charged.

I think one or two gills, pressing from above onto the USB-Port, constructed into the case, would be enough to solve the problem. So the leverage-forces wouldn´t take effekt to the solder-spots of the USB-Port, but to the (new constructed) gills and the case of the X10.

I've got a Razr Maxx that I'm looking at replacing and was looking at the new Droid Maxx but I'm concerned about the lack of HDMI out. I'm a boater and have a TV on my boat. I connect my Razr Maxx to my TV with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable and watch Netflix when I'm on the. I'd hate to give that up but also realize that my Maxx won't last forever.
Any new phones that do have HDMI out?
since I upgraded to android 2.1 ... when I connect the cable to charge the battery of my phone .. the phone software goes crazy .. it loops all the time .. does anybody have the same problem???

View 12 Replies View RelatedIve noticed when my desire is plugged into the computer and use as a disk drive option the option on the computer to access the desire keep on disappearing from "my computer", could this be down to the cable being damaged as i accidently dropped the phone with the cable plugged into the phone and the phone landed on the bottom eg as it landed it bent the cable, plus when the cable is plugged in its a little loose but is this normal.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am having some difficulties with syncing my Shaw Cable email account while not on WiFi. If I'm on a WiFi network, I have no difficulties with email. However,I noticed that when I'm away from my WiFi network at home, I cannot sync with this email account. I get a "Network error" alert.
With Hotmail, I have no difficulties at all. My Hotmail account is able to sync where ever I go whether on or off WiFi. I'm currently with Bell (Canada). I used to own a Nokia N97 and had no difficulties with Shaw on that phone.
Does anyone know if the X10 supports micro SD HC versions? Or only the normal micro SD?

I'm generally wondering if a slot labelled "microSD" will accept a micro SDHC card (as opposed to a micro SD card). I know, for example, that some older memory card readers won't read the SDHC cards, even if they have an SD slot. I'm not sure about the tablets however.
Example of some of the tablets that I'd be interested in knowing this about are: Acer Iconia A700 or A210, and Toshiba Excite.
I kind of accidently formated my 4gb micro SD, which came with the phone. There was something on in that I shouldn't ? I believe something for sync, but what?
