I have a second appartment and don't want to transport the loading cable all the time and now I'm wondering if there's something special about the usb-loading cable and the ac2usb-adapter or if I can just buy a cheap one on ebay to load it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIve noticed when my desire is plugged into the computer and use as a disk drive option the option on the computer to access the desire keep on disappearing from "my computer", could this be down to the cable being damaged as i accidently dropped the phone with the cable plugged into the phone and the phone landed on the bottom eg as it landed it bent the cable, plus when the cable is plugged in its a little loose but is this normal.

I've had it on for the last 16 hours and although the light goes orange and the little battery animates as though it's charging it hasn't budged since I put it on... I haven't tried it with the official cable yet but does anyone know of any reason why a non-HTC USB cable wouldn't do the same as a HTC branded one?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am having some difficulties with syncing my Shaw Cable email account while not on WiFi. If I'm on a WiFi network, I have no difficulties with email. However,I noticed that when I'm away from my WiFi network at home, I cannot sync with this email account. I get a "Network error" alert.
With Hotmail, I have no difficulties at all. My Hotmail account is able to sync where ever I go whether on or off WiFi. I'm currently with Bell (Canada). I used to own a Nokia N97 and had no difficulties with Shaw on that phone.

Obviously most things can be done wirelessly now, but I have lots of music files I want to transfer and my PC does not have bluetooth.
Am I missing a really obvious solution here? I use iTunes, so is there a way to just synch up the account with the Hero?
Which store? Been looking for this bugger for a while!

I try to download an update for the phone and I don't find the LG gw620r version. What do I need to do to be able to access the Mini SD card through the USB cable? View 1 Replies View RelatedI was looking at changing Roms and did not have my cable with me. So a quick search of "ftp" brought up swiftp which turns your phone into a Ftp site. Wifi or 3g. I can now just pull up my sd card and everything on it from my pc without plugging anything in. I was able to push a 78mb file straight to my phone from my pc. View everything on my card. I know this might be old news to everyone else but new to me so i thought i would share the info.

The only way I could make that work was to remove the Micro SD card, stick it in the computer, and load the pictures, and insert SD card back into phone. Worked fine; just awkward. When I connect the phone to the computer via USB cable, computer asks me to insert driver disk, which I don't have. What is the purpose of a USB cable?

At work today when I took my phone out of a pocket I noticed that red light is flashing. I've connected it to my Mac at work and it doesn't seem to charge it what so ever. It has been connected to Mac's USB for about 30 minutes and red light is still flashing. Tried to turn it on but ON/OFF button doesn't work. How long it needs to be plugged in to start again? Is it a Mac issue?

I tried looking for one with a galaxy tab male connector so that I could use it on my tab 2, but unfortunately I couldn't find one. So I decided to buy the otg cable AND a data cable of the tab. So I'm wondering what would happen if i cut them both open then connect them to each other. Would it work? They both ARE for data transfer anyways.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs of this afternoon my phone is no longer recognizing when i plug it in to my pc via the usb cable. The pc itself will recognize that a device has been connected and begins the add new device wizard. The phone however will fail to prompt the mounting options in the notification bar. Im not really sure what could have caused this since i havent made any changes to my phone since manually installing 2.2 last week and grabbing a few new apps. BUT, I did drop my phone earlier today onto my garage floor. Any chance these mounting troubles may be a result of the fall?

When I hook the phone up via USB cable the SD card shows up in MY COMPUTER but I cannot open/browse it, I tried the card in my old Samsung E900 and its fine I added my music and other files that way.

Ideally, I want to be able to keep the stereo cable connected and hear the person over the radio, and be able to talk. Is there a stereo cable with a microphone built into it that can be used for this purpose? I had one for my HTC device (Amazon.com: Handsfree Stereo Headset Headphones + Microphone + 3.5mm Adapter Converter + Car Home Charger Plug Port For All HTC Phone Smartphone PDA: Cell Phones & Service) that worked very well, but it would only push mono to the stereo.

My droid eris charger cable is coming apart. the cable part that connects to the phone side, the actual cable is exposing. Is it covered through warranty. Can i go to verizon and get an new cable from them.
