View 2 RepliesI'm really keen to get this working. I've tried installing from several locations. I follow all the steps correctly ( i think!), but every time i tap the text box with the htc mod enabled i get this error message.
'The application HTC_IMA mod
(process jonasl.ime) has
stopped unexpectedly. Please
try again'
Trying to get the 'Voice to text' trick working...Voice search working installed the HTC_IME_hi_25.apk and long held to select the input method. I can see the little mic next to the space bar but...when i press the mic key nothing happens! if i hold too long it goes to settings. Have seen on youtube I should get a 'speak' box come up after i press the mic, but nothing. tried uninstall the HTC_IME_hi_25.apk and voice search, but still not working. Have ticked and unticked boxes in the HTC_IME_hi_25.apk setting ... does it matter?

-Download and install hi-res version.
-Goto keyboard settings and enable HTC_IME.
-Long press on any text entry, select imput method and then select HTC_IME as default.
I was wondering how i could enable "Speech to text" on my desire.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy new unbranded desire with 2.2 is missing the 'voice to text icon from its keyboard? Any ideas why this is? Also when I press and hold the search button for voice, it always takes me to the internet. I can get the navigation software to open by saying navigate to destination. Are there certain words that must be said in order to do things?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have posed this question in some threads but as yet have made no progress.I am just curious as to why HTC appear to have left out the Bluetooth Voice Dialler function that can be provided by the Froyo 2.2 O/S. I believe this feature is present and enabled in some of the cooked roms and also in the Nexus one Vanilla 2.2 so why not here?If I have missed somthing simple or if anyone is aware why it is missing or how I can activate it that would be fantastic!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was about to come on here and praise how cool the new Voice to Text feature is in the new 2.1 update but I have found it to be a pain in the neck. I was driving the other day and decided to use it. I spoke very slowly and enunciated the words clearly and that thing wrote something entirely different. No offense but I sounded like a slow person the way I was talking and it still typed the wrong thing!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI thought this was supposed to be a huge feature in 2.1, am I missing the option to activate it? View 1 Replies View RelatedSent them an email last week asking about voice to text and also g-sensors calibration being missing and this is the reply
These options are not included in the Official HTC 2.1 Release for the Hero. The reasons for not including these are down to Google Android who develop the Applications and what devices and updates will include them. Thanks for contacting HTC. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
