Voice to Text found in HTC Desire : Windows Phone Reviews,Interesting. I just downloaded the manual and noticed that too.They probably just used a screen print from a Nexus for the manual. Could turn up though, guess we'll have to wait and see.

From what I have seen in some articles the camera and camcorder functions / look and feel haven't changed. anybody else know of differences other than the addition of crappy new apps i didn't ask for... thanks T-Mobile

Just downloaded the Voice to Text Mod for my Desire "HTC_IME_hi_22b2", Ive got in working with Google Search but does it work on Messages ? and if so how do i enable it to?
View 2 Replies View RelatedTrying to get the 'Voice to text' trick working...Voice search working installed the HTC_IME_hi_25.apk and long held to select the input method. I can see the little mic next to the space bar but...when i press the mic key nothing happens! if i hold too long it goes to settings. Have seen on youtube I should get a 'speak' box come up after i press the mic, but nothing. tried uninstall the HTC_IME_hi_25.apk and voice search, but still not working. Have ticked and unticked boxes in the HTC_IME_hi_25.apk setting ... does it matter?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI changed the voice mail number from *86 (version default) to my Google voice number. This works when I am not answering the phone and I the caller gets connected to my GV account. But when my phone is not in coverage the caller gets my version voice mail. Appreciate if someone can correct my settings or suggest any app that does it. I am from Windows mobile world and missing those settings when you can define several settings for voice mail (unanswered, rejected, unavailable etc...)

-Download and install hi-res version.
-Goto keyboard settings and enable HTC_IME.
-Long press on any text entry, select imput method and then select HTC_IME as default.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy new unbranded desire with 2.2 is missing the 'voice to text icon from its keyboard? Any ideas why this is? Also when I press and hold the search button for voice, it always takes me to the internet. I can get the navigation software to open by saying navigate to destination. Are there certain words that must be said in order to do things?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery few days I seem to lose my mobile connection completely. I try turning it off and on but that makes no difference, I have to turn the phone off completely in order for it to come back. Quite often after I do this I have a text message appear (usually says it is a few days old) from 'Anonymous'. The messages are blank.
Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix it?
Tried to send a text today whilst the phone was connected to T-Mobile (I'm on Orange). The text failed to send, repeatedly. As soon as I got back into Orange coverage, it sent.
Anyone else had this? I'm gonna ring Orange tomorrow, just wondered if it was common?
I have a friend who is added to my Desire's contact list.
1. He is on my Facebook contact. (His facebook pic appears in my Desire contact list)
2. He is my Gmail contact as well.
3. He is added as a 'Phone Contact' as well.
I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.
Being a community where we all use our phones for everything wouldnt be usufull to have a mobile version of this site? Lol just a thought?

The "hot key" if that is what it is called - the one one the face of our phones next to the back button works fine, too.

Now that I have google voice, does this change anything? I have the droid and just downloaded the google voice app. I have seen that people are saying that sms messages don't get pushed, but it looks like they are through the google voice app? Am I missing something? Can I now cancel my sms service through verizon so I am not paying ANY sms fees? It looks like I am getting sms messages the same as I always did, how do I sms through google voice on the droid?

View 1 Replies View Relatedso i have an n1 for at&t and i just got the ota update for froyo last night. today i'm trying out the default web browser to see what kinds of flash videos i can see. i already downloaded the flash player from the market. plus i went into the setting for the browser with regards to "about:debug" then changed the UAString to desktop. but for some reason when i go to a website like nbc.com to try and go watch a full episode of the office, it only loads the mobile version of the site. also when i check out the facebook page it always automatically loads the "touch" version of the site. how can i get it to default to the desktop regular full site version? can anyone tell me a way around this or a setting change other than try a different browser?

I've installed Froyo on a T-Mobile branded Desire. After the update, turning on USB tethering leads to immediate loss of mobile network - it just turns itself off. Same goes for the mobile Wifi hotspot: turn on -> for 2 seconds, it's working -> mobile network drops off. Moving into airplane mode and back brings back the network, but tethering is a goner. With 2.1, USB tethering had worked. I'm on Base, a brand of e-plus. I've talked to their customer services, they say Base absolutely supports tethering.
I hate being forced by some websites to view their functionally challenged "mobile" version. The standard versions look amazing on the Droid! I assume the sites are reading the useragent string from the browser and forcing the redirect. Any way to change what the useragent is reporting? I've searched quite a bit and haven't found a resolution.
