Dec 10, 2013I sent a snapchat on accident without saving it, and it was one I meant to save. I really want to find it, but I can't seem to figure out how to open the nomedia file.
I plugged my phone into my computer and found all the snapchat files, and I read that you can just delete .NOMEDIA from the name and it turns it to a JPEG and opens it. The one I want to open is:
h1a81hurcs00h1380872338543.jpg.nomedia
Certainly enough, when I rename it without the nomedia, it recognizes it as a JPEG, but when I open it with windows photo viewer, it can't open it. It says the file may be damaged/corrupted/wrong file type.

Since this is of EXTREME importance to me I wanted to make sure I go about this in the right process and only talk to the very best professionals/most knowledgeable on the site. It involves the Police removing videos from my phone after I was taken into custody. So a lil extra spice for an otherwise boring question. I took out my micro sd card so nothing else writes to it and am waiting to hear back from you guys. The goal is to prove that I was in custody when the videos were deleted-(Police corruption) and to also restore them to prove my innocence.

Aug 25, 2013I accidentally deleted a bunch of photos and a video from my Samsung Galaxy Express SGH-I437. I have been trying to recover the deleted files with no luck so far. I have been able to root the phone with motochopper and have put the phone in debugging mode. I just can't seem to get into it though. how I might be able to get my files restored.

Aug 17, 2010I just mounted my Evo as a disk drive so I could backup some of my older photos and then delete them from the SD card to free up space. Well I deleted over 1gb of media files and when I unmounted the SD card it still showed the same amount of free space as before.I opened up Astro File Manager to see if I could find the problem and the files were deleted from the various folders but when I clicked the menu button and selected Tools, I went to view the SD card usage and noticed a folder labeled .Trashes which contained the 1+gb of files that I deleted from the card.The problem is, I am unable to clear the .Trashes folder and free up that extre 1gb of space that I should have...Is there something I am doing wrong? How do I get that extra space back because there is no option to delete or clear the .Trashes folder and when the phone is mounted as a disk drive there is no path to that specific (.Trashes) folder.

Nov 17, 2010I have purchased my Evo 2 weeks ago from this date. I've decided to finally root a few days ago using the unRevoked 3.2.1 method. I've flashed the recovery using Allclockwork, backed up with Titanium (free version) and flashed my first ROM (Myn Warm twobytwo 11-05-2010 RLS3). Everything seems to work fine except 4G. I added a wrong contact to the favorite page and wanted to delete it. I pressed down on the screen, the remove icon appeared at the bottom and I dragged what I thought was the contact to it. I didn't download any software or apps specifically for locating cell phone.My cell died the night it was stolen and i called it today and it rang so the person had to of charged it and is most likely using it.I'm thinking about seeing what numbers the person has called and try to use them to recover the phone. General :: Recovering Contact Photo
Apr 16, 2014I need to recover a photo of my dog which although is set as profile photo the original on my sd card is deleted and i would like to recover it before i reset the phone back to factory.
My understanding of this is that the photo is stored in the database of android contacts which is why it doesn't show up in gallery or any other file finding or photo finding apps. I would love to extract it as the dog has passed away and it's one of my favourites of him.
How to extract the photo or if I am wrong regarding the location and remove it?

Aug 24, 2010I deleted 5 or 6 photos from my gallery. Now when I scroll through my gallery where the photos were, is just a blank space. I deleted the pics thinking it would automatically compress the gallery together, not leave me with the blanks.
