View 35 RepliesEvery few weeks or so my Droid keeps deleting all of my texts. No message with it or anything I just open my texts and there all gone. What the hell is causing this? I told verizon about a half dozen times and they told me that its impossible that its doing this.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Desire, running Froyo on the o2 network. My text messages automatically deleted during the middle of the night, this has happened once before... but paid no attention to it, thinking it a one off. Has this happen to anyone else?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to have all SMS (text messages) automatically stored to the SD card? I recently had to reflash my ROM and as such have lost all the messages I had stored - about 800 or so from my partner and a few semi-important ones from both work and my basketball coach.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have checked my hotmail messages through the phone and deleted messages, however when I log into hotmail on my computer the deleted messages are still showing in my inbox as new messages. How do you get it so that if they are deleted from hotmail on your phone they are gone for good with no need to delete them again once logged in elsewhere.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi had to turn off the settings for the Mobile Networks MMS and data because it automatically connects to my provider and I am being charged and this usually happens when I touch on Timescape. I just dont know if its connected though but after doing so, after sometime my Messaging system prompts me up a message saying that there was an error (android.system.mms) and it needs to fore close and then after that all of my messages were automatically deleted including the message updates in the splines. I already went to the Service Center and the only thing they told me was it will be okay once I have updated to the new version which is the 2.1.
View 1 Replies View Related1) Does anyone know if the update still works? I did tried it today but didn't get too far. On the LGMobile Support Tool it says Model: GW620R Version: V10C. Everything looks good so far but when it gets to the analysis part, I have to close it because it says "Software update is not supported for this model".
2) For people who did the firmware update, do your text messages get deleted? Since my text messages could potentially be deleted, how do I back them up or save them to my SIM card?
I've noticed that my Desire is automatically deleting my emails from my inbox after a few days. I've tried looking in the obvious places to change this but without any luck.I'm not using a gmail account just my own private email account for my emails. How can I change my email account so that I decide when to delete emails from my account?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to retrieve old texts that were in my phone, that were deleted, these are VERY important texts, is there a way i can get them back, there original texts were from dec/2012 to jan/ 2013, i have called verizon, and got their "static" answer
View 2 Replies View RelatedCan any of you retrieve deleted text messages or know how? I know you can retrieve them via SIM card, but there isn't one... I have a memory card reader, but if i'm right, you can only retrieve photos from the SD card? I was wondering since most of you probably know how to code that if you knew how to retrieve them a different way or could where to go or how to do it? It would be very much appreciated.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAccidental deleted some, is there any app or anyway to restore the messages? Even just to view them would be OK.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Handcent for texts, but went into the Messages app and saw a bunch of "ghost" messages with a date of 12/31/69 (tap on the messages and they don't load). It turns out that when I receive a text it displays the correct date and time in both Handcent and Messages, but when I delete in in Handcent it goes into this "ghost" state in Messages. Has anybody else run into this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo today I went to my messages and noticed that all of my old ones were gone. I have the Delete Old Messages option off. Is there another setting somewhere that I am missing? Does it just delete all messages no matter what once it gets to a certain capacity?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the NFL app during the preseason and then when the season started they wanted to start charging for it so I deleted. I keep getting the morning text message even thought I have Text to 4635 Stop and they just keep sending them, Does anyone know how to actually stop these messages? Its really annoying.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI JUST went to my texts to find an address (for Christmas cards) and to my astonishment ALL of my texts have been deleted EVEN the ones I previously locked?!!
I turned off my phone, then turned it back on and they are ALL still gone! Is there anything I can do to recover my old text messages? Some of them were very important...
Is there a reliable program I can use to back up the more important text messages I get in the future (say all texts from a specific contact)?
To add more info to this, I did not have delete old messages when limit is reached check. I had thousands of messages in my inbox before the deletion.
This is really annoying, what good is a phone that can't reliably store text messages?? As I said before I had several very important locked messages that are now gone as well.
I have an Epic on Sprint.
I have the phone set to only keep 25 messages in a thread and automatically delete old messages. I have tried a hard reset. I am using the stock messaging app, but I have seen others who have the same problem with third-party apps.
PROBLEM: I delete unwanted texts and threads, but as soon as I receive a message from someone whose threads I have deleted ALL (I mean ALL) of my deleted text messages come back. Let me be clear, when I say ALL I mean every text message I have sent to anyone comes back - the entire thread returns. Even though my thread settings are set to 25, some of these threads have thousands of messages in them.
I am not using any third party app for backup. There is a little sync symbol up by the clock while the messages return and it can take hours for the messages to all load up - oldest messages return first, so I cannot read new texts until the process is finished. There appears to be no way to stop the sync either. I have to wait it out.
This is my second Android phone and the fifth Android I have had in my family. Everyone of them has had bizzarre problems like this. Every time I complain out loud, my wife just says, "My iPhone doesn't do that."
Is there any application that automatically save text messages i want to use it for my kids so i know who they where texting.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is any way to back up my text messages from my HTC Desire onto my laptop? I installed the back-up disk I got with my phone but it only lets you back up pictures.
View 2 Replies View Relatedso today my htc desire has decided that it won't send any text messages.phone calls work, signal is fine, but whenever i send a text it just buzzes and says it's unable to send. i last successfully sent a text yesterday (20th may) at 23:39. haven't installed any apps since or anything like that.i am very frustrated. this is basic stuff here that a phone should be able to do. anyway, eventually it gives up and tells me:"Unable to send message after multiple attempts."
View 13 Replies View RelatedI want to design a mobile application/tool for recovering deleted messages/pictures/files from the phone. I have the choice to do that using Android or Symbian. what do you think is more easier provided that I have to use some operating system concepts to solve the problem and recover deleted messages. Also what are the concepts that I can use for recovery ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast week I noticed all my text message threads were gone from my phone! I have heard people complaining about this in the past and it happened to me. What is more surprising is that a friend told me today that his complete CONTACT list was deleted from the phone! What is going on with these Droids that are making them delete information like this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedGo into your phone contacts and pick a contact you have texted. On the open field below the contact, slide to the right and you will see a list of every text message you have sent and received from that person even if you deleted the messages!
Delete contact and re-enter the contact.
Supposedly to be fixed with an update?
Un-frickenbelievable!
Some of the crap and goofy stuff I tell my friends, I don't want on the phone.
I have synced my contacts with facebook but when I receive text messages I get their phone number after the persons name and it's annoying and looks crap. Anyone know how to solve this. I know if the contact has multiple numbers it shows but it's showing on contacts with only one number too.
